Do you think AI slop and vibecoding is going to make furry games better or worse?
>>86287694It is going to be a thing. What I mean by that is AI is a tool and it does make things easier to mass produce. There will be a lot of forgettable trash that will be made, but something good could come out of it. That good thing in theory could be made in a much more reasonable timeframe instead of just a cool idea that gets one update than dies forever. AI isn't bad in itself, but it needs someone that can use it effectively to get anything out of it worth while.
>>86287694Nothing will come of it.
>>86287694>>86287780I don't trust AI to have anything good coming out of it when it's still mostly in the hands of corporations.
>>86287694It will happen. Whether it ends up being good or bad will depend on the individual. Some games like Serenia use AI well, but most others are trash - but they'd still be trash even WITHOUT AI. All AI does is allow more shitty ideas to be pumped out and dropped at a faster rate than they normally would.
>>86287694Lower barrier to entry + Sturgeon's Law = exponentially more effort to find the diamonds in the roughConsidering most current furry games are just Patreon cash grabs I'm all for it. Even just taking a peek into /msdg/ I'd say the art is already good enough for me. No idea on its consistency though (especially for characters that models aren't trained on).
>>86287827This.
>>86287694Worse. That's why it needs to be shamed and banned from creative spaces.AI people will still break the rules by trying to hide it, but it will encourage them to make high quality stuff instead of spamming a deluge of low effort crap for clout and cash. Pic related is the slop that you see in translated hentai doujins. You can't have a libertarian stance on it because people don't have universal morality to use it responsibly, you need to draw a line with a de facto ban.I also don't think that AI is a good tool either. Not for it's quality, but because your skillset is directly tied to cloud service that you have no control over. It takes ai CEOs to make their service more restrictive or expensive to nerf your skills. They're also buying all the high end hardware to make you dependent on your self. In contrast, a community will nurture your skills and interests in the long term.
https://transfer.zip/quick#wqjPkGRBdK1pERv3wad1SXQdWT1wlBeXRfCM2vAkusA,5e0e284a,RI have fiddled around enough with the system to be able to create a player unit, spawn reinforcements, and determine how an enemy will move. The major problems at this point are that it seems like the engine has a minimum map size, any smaller than the default and the screen will be crunched in causing menus to be cut off. That can be worked around by adding in terrain that units can't cross. The other issue is that I can't figure out how to end a map. But it's progress.

>>86287694Let me put it like this>lazy person doesn't finish, or even start making a game>RPGMaker steps in>lazy person makes a buggy v0.1 game and never finishes it>various visual novel creators step in, they even run on html>lazy person makes a buggy v0.4 game and never finishes it>AI steps in>lazy person prompts some images with low level coherency between them, wrong skintones, wrong features, inconsistent clothes, inconsistent art style, disembodied penises, many fingered hands>the game is still not half done>the most work done is by the AI>the person simply packaged it up, hoping to paywall you into viewing his prompts (usually trained well on actually sexy data)Even when a game is literally just showing off what the seller prompted, it's no better than existing furry games.... if you're not talking about porn, then uh, I don't see why AI would have made Armello or Root or Dust an Elysian Tail or anything any better. I recently saw some kind of isometric game where you play a rat girl or something who can get into a snowball to pass through fire or something. It was incredibly uninspired and wouldn't have been popular even in 2010. AI wouldn't fix that.>>86288231Steam really needs to raise its entry fee. I wonder what it would be if it kept up with inflation and if tripling that would be better.
Are you ready for schizo wolf?
>>86291945I guess.
>>86290540https://drive.google.com/file/d/1iD3LqUBl6S_QrzZe8lFojE2RwU8W-8F-/view?usp=sharingCatbox and litterbox both don't like .exe which is what the engine exports your project as. My next steps would be figuring out how to code a win condition on maps and make the standard conditions like rout, defeat boss, sieze/escape, and defend.
>>86291945yes please
>>86287694I follow dozens of artists and will occasionally peak into an AI slop thread. I can tell you that all the AI slop has the combined value of a single artist. As in I might occasionally check in on it like it's a lesser artist just to see if it's cooking anything and it never is. The slop threads really are worthless. AI slop cannot compete with people who have taste for a living and it'll show no matter where it's used.Code isn't much of an art to me so i'm ambivalent on it when non-essential stuff are vibed out. Still don't like it when something important like an OS are vibe coded.
>>86287694I guess it's cool I can feed an abandoned game to Claude and say "put ratmen in this"I've only fooled around with CoC because the source code is right there and it's all text based.
On other topic, picking up from previous thread, how would you make it so 2 men can get a child with traits inherited from both WITHOUT resorting to mpreg?
>>86294171If you really want to avoid Mpreg you could just have it be some kind of magic ritual where they make an offspring based on their traits.
>>86294171bioengineered cloning.
>>86294171Genetic cloning build-a-bear designer baby
>>86294171>WITHOUT resorting to mpregMeh
>>86294171Either magic or bioengineering.
>>86287694AI is a tool, as any tool it has limitations, quirks you have to work around. What really matters is the user. The user will either take his time to learn and make a good product or not and make a disaster. The thing is that AI lowers the bar to make games to a really low level, meaning people that will never treat a generation like a piece of art that needs to be taken care of and polished will make a terrible games. The people that would want to make a good game either already knows the tools or will learn them within a year, get money and start using better output made by humans.
>>86294171rubbing dicks inside a vagina
>>86293405Sdg and alike are coomer threads and while I remember back in early 2024 it was the peak of all AI slop, it slided off really quickly. Most people that knew how to do decent gens got bored and paid closed models became much better to the point they were in another league. To this day, most of the gens posted in msdg and sdg are made with models based on sdxl from 2014. Even when it released it wasn't anywhere near the SOTA models.I have tested a new kroma 0.3.1 and while it has it's limitations, especially in the art style, it's a first improvement to the furry gens since 2014. While it's not as good as the best human artists, it's good enough to use in a visual novel.
>>86295080Wouldn't work, since only one sperm cell can fertilize an egg. Best you could hope for is dizygotic twins who were born from two eggs being fertilized by one sperm cell each from the two men doing the vaginal DPing, which would be lottery win odds anyhow.
>>86294171>WITHOUT resorting to mpreg?Ummm, artificial wombs with alien/spectral/demonic eggs, perhaps? The two males offer their seed after gay sex and the best aspects of both sperms get combined and used to fertilize the egg and the end result is a hybrid of the two males + alien/ghost/demon heritance.
>>86292712So only a unit classified as a leader can seize without a custom plugin, but you can use the arrive objective to allow anyone to clear a map by reaching a point. For defend maps thankfully the enemy AI is built to allow for you to choose whether they'll try to only fight the player, go for an objective while fighting if possible, or to ignore all units unless the path to the objective is blocked which would help. And I have figured out how to do a basic cutscene before the battle prep screen, though the starter pack you can find online built cutscenes by creating an entirely new map separate from the actual battle to have the cutscene take place on. I guess the next step would be to figure out how to get classes, races, and skills to work and that's probably going to be where I have to learn how to code.

>>86294171
>>86296386Wholesome.
>>86291945Gold bell resupply character
>>86294171Bioengineering that goes alone the lines of extracting the DNA out of an egg, replacing it with one sperm's DNA, then combining it with another sperm's DNA. The egg is needed as the basic infrastructure and resources needed to get the process started.Just make sure that you get one X and one Y, otherwise its a failure.
>>86291945Ready to pull one copy so I can watch him swing his fat bulge around.
>>86294299This. What's the point without it?
>>86287694I might have fallen for a 'make my unformed idea REEL, waow' button. When I was 13.I've had plenty of ideas throughout my life. Every motherfucker has ideas. Most of them are utter garbage. Even a smart motherfucker, I've observed, isn't that different from the garden variety in this regard. John Romero might have given us Doom and Quake, but his name is also on Daikatana. The reason why great games exist is because the process of development took time, and ideas had room to incubate beyond a raw shower thought. It gives the human brain the best chance it has to iterate through the ideas that are worth carrying to term, the ideas that are a little fucked up but they still work, and the ideas that just need the clothes hanger so the people involved can move on.I was actually concerned by the Daggerfall Online guy, the one with the cash shop and $15,000 paid tier, who was outsourcing not just the programming but the ideas themselves to his AI.Of course, his motivation was understandable. He wanted money. (though with how much these motherfuckers spend on tokens, I really wonder)People are going to developmentally arrest themselves. They won't have or want curatorial skill or even higher creative thought. They'll produce shittier games with shorter lifespans, and learn nothing. But as long as they can access The Perks of being A Creator - asspats, dicksucks, and Patreon bux - they're sold. The (veneer of) technical polish that AI imparts, particularly to art, has been litigated for years. It's easy to dislike AI for selfish reasons, as well.Which is good, because I resent the decline of search engines, virtually every website getting slower and shittier or being outright DDoS'd by AI scrapers and botnets, and the weariness that I feel thinking about trying to navigate miles of AI-produced shovelware pushed to the storefront for the sole purpose of getting someone, anyone to pay for it.All this glorious technological innovation has done is piss me off.

>>86305555You could fix something to that effect up in Lilith's Throne with human transformation effects, either by brewing a single-use potion or enchanting a wearable piece of equipment for unlimited uses at several times the cost, and then use it on anthro (or even feral) NPCs. You could also stack other effects on top of that, if you want to get really specific about the end results of the TF.

Thinking about that one Furry Adastra review where he basically says that Cassius was basically Donald Trump because he was a fear mongering nationalists and bigoted. So many people agreed with this and I'm just like "Yeah but he's right though." Other races are constantly trying to integrate and do trading deals with the wolves, not for the sake of allyship but to help speed up the deteoriation of the pillars that hold them up. And for good reason. The wolves pretend to be divine sanctioned beings that tokenize other races as necessary sacrifices to their twisted tradition but are actually just "Unga the strongest is best leader" caveman when their mantra is slightly challenged. The MC ensuring Amicus becomes the new world leader basically ensures that type of rulership, by a literal himbo by the way, is unchallenged. We're supposed to believe that Amicus would be a better leader solely on the merit that he isn't racist even though Alexios and Neferu prove that being so ideologically retarded is what's slowly destroying their society.Like it's not really a one to one but he explains it like it is.
>>86315850Amicus is such a horrible person. Worse than Leo.
>>86315886Yeah but he's hot and the romantic protagonist. So it's okay.
>>86315850Cassius probably WOULD be right under ideal circumstances...but he was being played like a fiddle by Cato who is an even bigger unga bunga retard than Amicus and would be a 100% guarantee of galactic war with him in charge even via proxy through Cassius himself and Alexios, who was a spy who had no intention of hiding the wolves at all and would have gleefully pushed the planet and its people even further into ruin. Cassius isn't out and out wrong in his claims specifically, he's wrong because the people in his corner are the absolute worst and actually undermine his own position through their actions.

>Creatures Like Us is a punky narrative sim about making homes in abandoned buildings, fending off landlords, and smashing capitalism along the way. You are a crew of four friends that must survive houselessness, corrupt corporations, and squabbling over doing the dishes.Capitalist bros...https://circle-a-studios.itch.io/creatures-like-us
>>86315850I don't think most people think about it deeper than racism bad, wolf himbo good. The fact that Amicus starts the game by kidnapping Marco to put him in slavery is largely glossed over because he wants to do things like force woman to have positions of power. Haven't read the other game but from what I have heard it seems like it was a mistake to do so. Sex with Cato.>>86316053Somehow I feel like capitalism will be fine after this blow.
>>86316377>Sex with Cato.Ew
>>86316377>Sex with Cato. He'd rip your throat out. And not during sex.
>>86315850I'd say the thing with Cassius isn't (just) that he is wrong, it is that he is (somehow) even MORE incompetent then Amicus and not the puppet (useful idiot) the parents want for their game of Stellaris.Keep in mind Amicus wins by default inb the trials because Cassius schemes basically just makes him look worse after they settle (likely as deliberately intended by Alexios) and his best "shot" at Amicus was outdoing him at Gay Kissing. The debate he made into a slander show (that kinda ended up making Amicus look better "Well, Amicus was Top so it was okay, just meant he fucked Khemia lol." after a spin), he was completely pegged by the Triumvirate. How badly he does when he DOES get the throne (as Catos Puppet) just shows that in action. Actually come to think of it Cassius is basically NOTHING without Alexios, hell, even the reason Amicus goes to Earth to kidnap Marco is because of Alexios and that making Amicus sweat about ONE trial. Cassius was never actually a proper contender to the throne and that shows in his (lack of) competence.Like people like to put Cato as the "Main Villain" of Adastra and while there is merit in that i think really it is Alexios just as much, hell im pretty sure Cassius only even bothered making his bid for the throne due his influence.>>86316417He is hot, but >>86316439.
>>86316053Seems like this could be fun, if it weren't for the blatant ideological bullshit making me certain it's gonna be shit because the devs prioritize that shit, checking all the boxes and being politically correct to a T in accordance to the latest standards, over actually coding anything to a halfway functional state.
