Aah, the thread died, ok;
Short time troller, hack writer, but like some of the ideas here, so I wrote something.
Well, started to write, got to 10k characters, and need to go to bed.
I'm planning on getting lewd, but I'm going to edge it a little (snicker).
I've already broken it up into the 2k character sections, so will post after this.

>"It will get dark soon," said the boy, 'We should look for shelter for the night..."
>"I can see steam or mist in the distance," said the girl, "We can get water to make a stew..."
>"Aaaafter your last effort, maybe I should make the stew tonight?" commented the rabbit girl, "I saw some wild vegetables back there."
>The three characters pushed into a clearing, a small lake before them, a light mist floating just above the water, and a faint green glow emanating from the water itself.
>A relaxed feeling came over Dess as she rewatched her favourite show, containing to hold Kris's head to her breast and stroke his head, now with the same paw, as she reached around Noelle and pulled her close as well.
>"What's happening," asked Noelle in a questioning voice.

>The characters on screen had shucked their backpacks, and began going about setting camp, the rabbit girl snipping berries and pulling tubers, while the robot(?) boy picked up sticks and small branches for firewood, and the human girl carried a pot down to the edge of the lake. She pulled a small box from a jacket pocket and withdrew a small chain with a small white tile, clasped at one corner. she dipped the tile into the water, withdrew it, and looked at it for a short time.
>"The water is ok!" she called back to the others, and then struggled a bit to carry the pot back with her one good hand, a blood soaked bandage wrapped around the other.
>The boy had arranged the wood into a cone and, using his mechanical hand, produced a small flame to ignite the campfire, the three settling around it.
>Noelle was just about to complain that the cartoon was a bit boring, when a huge beetle, at least as big as any of them, pushed through the undergrowth, and reared onto its four hind legs, and made to menace them with its rather sharp front pincers.
>The human girl leapt to the boys side as he raised his mechanical hand. Meanwhile, the rabbit girl had grabbed a carving knife and dived at the side of the beetle, driving the blade in between the head and thorax, green blood spilling from the wound.
>Dess smiled to herself as both children sat up to watch the action, fleeting though it was.
>"Naaa, this will go nicely in the stew," said the rabbit girl, the other two characters relaxing back to the campfire.
>Noelle arranged to sit more upright against Dess, while Kris allowed his head back onto Dess's breast.
>A rhythmic stanza of music played, and a seductive female voice began narrating a history lesson that the trio were reading from the human girls notebook.

It was then that he realised that she was only wearing a pair of long cotton shorts, her dark brown furry knees visible just beyond the hem of the shorts.

We've not really gotten a big reason to care about her. Noelle has real emotional issues, Dess is a central mystery to the plot, and Rudy has obvious peril with his health - Carol is just off doing her own thing slightly related to whatever Asgore is doing but not central to it. Yeah, if anyone in Hometown had radical beliefs it probably was Dess, but it would be a performative aesthetic rather than a genuinely held belief. "Fuck the system" and "burn it all down" mostly as a slight against her mother who is a part of the system and would be angry if all her paper-pushing went up in flames. She probably would have actual beliefs in the right for self-determination and freedom of identity, though - but hardly a real set of political beliefs.

They never named themselves and only did 4(?) things if memory serves. I assumed it might've been Aocoa just because of the pixel brush but there's not really any consistency to it and I'm admittedly pretty style blind when it comes to pixel art.
