Why isn't Poland more popular as a tourist destination? It's pretty unique as far as nations go and also its history of greatness and super-human feats of perseverance against impossible odds feels like it should be more popular, but somehow isn't, it's almost like Poland is even specifically viewed as "boring" and "uncool" even though it's a fucking unicorn as far as countries go

Like, Wes Anderson made that movie Grand Budapest Hotel. How do we create a magical artistic vibe around Poland like that?
We can simultaneously achieve Whiteness & /pol/ ideology to be mainstream & cool if we achieve making Poland popular as a tourist hotspot, as the next big thing, the cool destination, so fucking IN.

Popularizing Poland is popularizing White Nationalism & White Religiosity (Christianity, specifically Roman Catholicism)
>>
Remember they had that "poland, come and complain" series on youtube and they yanked the whole thing and deleted fucking everything?
>>
>>2811130
just looked it up. 2013. dark times of full unbridled Darth Tüsk rule, the anti-Polish traitor on berlin-brussels payroll
>>
>>2811131
on the other hand, Why didn't you invest in Eastern Poland? from around this time was relatively successful for a small ad campaign, becoming a meme
>>
>>2811131
It was pretty funny I thought. Poland needs to be a bit more self conscious. The reputation is the country is dark, sad, and depressing, and the people are unfriendly, cold, and sour.

Most of what I remember from visiting 20 years ago is that a lot of the signs were in Russian and those signs were defaced or had holes in them.

what? i live here. that's certified bullshit
>The reputation is the country is dark, sad, and depressing, and the people are unfriendly, cold, and sour.
i know, reputation takes a while to update and adjust to the real situation on the ground
the solution isn't playing along with it but enforcing the update

I remember seeing a bunch of defaced signs in cyrillic text...

poland was part of russia not that long ago
>>
>>2811141
There are hardly any signs in russian.
You have never beeen there.
>>
>>2811144
I was there 20 years ago. How old were you 20 years ago?
>>
>>2811145
Old enough to remember that there were no signs in russian

No one cares about the internal politics, and especially which half of the duopoly you root for
>>
>>2811141
>poland was part of russia not that long ago
last time poland was part of russia was in 1918. not even under the communist government would they have signs in russian, that makes no sense

did you confuse poland for another country or are you schizophrenic and see russian everywhere?
>>
>>2811250
yes I'm sure Poland kept all the signs from 1939 intact
>>
>>2811129

It's perfectly nice and worth visiting, anyone who goes to Germany, Czechia or other central European location should go to Poland.

>Why isn't Poland more popular as a tourist destination?

Because it's a bit boring for the average tourist and dull outside if the Major cities.

Especially when you try to pay for anything with a 100 zloty bill!

BTW, the ATMs I used in Poland only dispense 50 and 100 zloty notes. Many ATMs are free, but not the ATM in the Warsaw airport. Schwab covered the fee.

I hiked in Zakopane. Very safe. Not crowded, but enough people around that you're never completely alone.

lol
>>
>>2814417
He admitted openly in a few threads lately that he's the same guy who starts every Poland thread. And he does get very angry when anyone mentions Prague as a better option. But honestly, Prague is a better option than Poland for most people.
It's inconvenient to do most cities in Poland. You have to go 10 hours out of your way to see Krakow. Even further for the rest of them. Most people in central Europe would rather just jump on the high speed train and do Prague, Vienna and Budapest. You get more variety that way with half the travel time.

I have no clue why he would do that. There is literally less than 1% chance the dude is real, you're a schizo.

lmao

Poland is ugly, dirty or whatever. All signs are in cyrylic that dude is right. Also we're super racist I am jumping on a nigger's head as I type this post.
Fuck off, we're full, don't come here, srlsy.

fuck off they are full. You can best help by leaving it alone, so that niggers, pajeets, etc stay away

Additionally, the truth is that everything Poland has some other country does better, so I'd appreciate not having constant shilling of this insignificant country on /trv/
>>
>>2814755
>everything Poland has some other country does better,
nah, there's not a single Whiter more developed place
>>

The design of public infrastructure in Poland is amazing. Warsaw airport had the best directional signage of any airport I've been to. Not a single spot where travelers have to mill about in confusion due to a lack of signage. The quality of Polish construction is also A+. Not a single loose brick or paver despite numerous annual freeze-thaw cycles. The rooms I rented were all in tip-top shape as well.

Strangely, the city buses in Warsaw don't require a ticket to board. You board first, then you're supposed to buy a ticket at the machine. Most people boarded without buying a ticket or scanning anything. I guess they were locals with an annual pass. As an American, I'm used to seeing only poor nonwhites and lowlife bums on city buses, so it was strange to go to Warsaw and see prosperous middle-class White people using the buses so heavily.

Because it universally has the reputation of being a grey, awful, depressing place full of annoying poor people.
I've been there.
The reputation is entirely deserved.

racist idiocy aside i agree poland is underrated - i had a great time in warsaw exploring the club / arts scene

its still developing which is pretty unique in europe and gives it an optimistic vibe - kind of similar to the feeling you get in east asia, and unironically a more homogenous european atmosphere is kind of nice, hard to find these days
>>
There is no way there is that much interest in visiting Polan.
It's a nice country but people are talking about it 24/7 on this board,
I never hear anything about Hungary, Romania, Baltics, Croatia, etc. Always Poland, Poland, Poland.
I don't think it's organic.
>>
>>2815549
its just /pol/ degens who love to latch on to one specific thing good

the baltics are all kind of similar if you ask me, do a road trip poland > lithuania > latvia > estonia, its a great time
>>
>>2815546
>its still developing
it's a developed county. 35th in HDI which is like 0.911
it's firstie
>>2815552
the baltics don't even have their own currency, are led by commies (post-commies) loyal to Brussels-Berlin & asbestos roofs galore
>>
>>2816342
Poland is getting richer, but their population isn't growing much, so you don't see huge swaths of forest being cleared for McMansion private communities like in developing countries (USA for example). Their primary focus is on maintaining and improving what already exists, not neglecting it in favor of building more new housing for richfags.
>>
>>2816342
I think he meant developing as in progressing economically, not developing as an euphemism for 3rd world
>>
>>2815549
It's one Polish retard with a massive inferiority complex (like all Pole) spamming this board 24/7.00
>>

>you can't post about certain countries

>>
>>2811129
>Why isn't Poland more popular as a tourist destination?
Because the people are repulsive both outwardly and inwardly and thanks to combined effort of both the soviets and the third reich their intellectuals were eradicated so the population today consists of mentally and emotionally stunted flesh golems, descendants of Homo Sovieticus who don't know their own culture or history and don't ever think about promoting whatever is left of their culture abroad, how could they with a massive inferiority complex towards the west.
They're too retarded to capitalize on the fact that East Asians, Japanese, Chinese and Koreans all love Chopin to bring in affluent tourists.
They're boring and uncool because they are stuck worshipping Reagan era USA and something about jeebus and mary.
Poland might've had over 1500 years of history but now it's a 51st state of the weimerican empire, some podunk shithole known for nothing in particular besides a lot of grumpy, unfriendly and fat people like I dunno, Idaho.
>>2811129
>How do we create a magical artistic vibe around Poland like that?
I dunno, build a theme park where you hand pick models, build fake replicas of Wawel Castle, Warsaw Old Town but build it somewhere in a Chinese desert to create a simulacrum of Poland that the real one is metaphysically incapable of matching ever again.
>>
>>2811129
Why would I travel there, when I can travel to other countries that do it better.
If you want nature, Alps have better mountains. Mediterranean has better sea/coast. Southern Europe has better climate in general.
If it is culture/history you want Germany, France, Italy and Spain are way better, like it is not even close.
If it is big cities you want London, Madrid, Berlin, even Amsterdam got you covered
If ypu only reply is /pol/ retardtion dont bother

>>
>>2819442
>Southern Europe has better climate
Yeah, tell that to all the Spaniards, Italians and Balkanoids suffering in 38 C summer swelter while your typical July day in Poland is 21-26 C.
>better mountains
Yeah I'll give you that. Too many Polish forests are working forests, not nature preserves. The natural mature hardwood forests are as beautiful as anything in eastern America.
>culture/history
You mean drug addicts, pickpockets and assorted foreign mutts loitering around historic buildings? Miss me with that "culture".
>>2819024
Poles don't even like America or Americans all that much, retard. Their military spending is among the highest in the world as a percentage of GDP. They defend their own country just fine.
>>
>>2811129
>We can simultaneously achieve Whiteness & /pol/ ideology to be mainstream & cool if we achieve making Poland popular as a tourist hotspot, as the next big thing, the cool destination, so fucking IN.
You achieve this by making sure the retarded normie masses do NOT go to Poland, thank you very much.
>>
>>2819610
>lively shopping malls
You can find these all over europe. 150k towns in Germany have these.
I personally think shopping malls provide bland, run of the mill experiences. Not worth a vacation
>safe streets
>kids playing outside
>community
Again you can find all of these all over europe. Yes, every big city has poor residential areas, but as a tourist why would you visit these? Look at crime rates for european countries and cities. They are generally safe.
Given nice weather, parks are always full. You can easily find events. Where I live there is some kind of fair every week.
If you put in some effort you can find all the community you want from sex parties to book clubs.

>>2819643
At the end of the day it comes down to preference. Most people choose 30+C at mediterranean coast. How many people from Spain or Italy visit Poland in summer, lol?
If I wanted around 25C, I would not travel. I have that at home. There are some nice lakes here. I think baltic and north sea are low tier and would not visit. But if I would, I would not go to Poland, when Germany, Netherlands, Belgium and France are closer and overall nicer than Poland

>>2819610
>>2819643
