Why not? I would rate Bangkok far above Tokyo especially for repeated visits. The temples etc. in Japan are nice but you can see them once and that's it. Thailand is just more fun, low cost, has delicious food everywhere, tropical climate, etc...

As for 2025 specifically, Thailand is one of the few places that Russians can visit, so I'm sure the numbers are higher because of that.

Sure there's also the degenerates but I don't think that the fat sexpats constitute more than like 1% of tourists going to Thailand - it's just a fun place to visit.
>>
>>2811309
easy to be there, cheap, safe, warm. exotic enough to be different.
>>
Thailand has the best ladyboys in the world.
>>
>>2811309
All me by the way.
>>
Affordable
World class beaches
Economy is very reliant on tourism so tourist infrastructure and hospitality industry are very advanced for a developing country.
Also great food, temples, nature etc beyond just beaches.
And lets not beat around the bush, its the centre of sex tourism so there is something for everyone.

Why is Agoda so good in Thailand?
That's the better question. Everywhere else in the world, bookings are charged all sorts of taxes and fees. In Thailand, Agoda bookings are significantly cheaper than walk-in rates. Most property staff will tell you to book online, save money.
>>
>>2811351
January, heh heh, that's cool season.
Thais love and revere their ancient shade trees. Around Bangkok, sadly, the trees were all cut down for greed. In the outlying provinces, they still remain. The provinces within daytrip distance of Bangkok are the shittiest in Thailand, I'd argue.
>>2811394
America is much more sparingly developed. It's 99% private property, meaning you are stuck walking on the roadsides instead of on walking paths.
>>
>>2811309
As >>2811315 noted, it's cheap and English-friendly. But also marketing; Thailand invested heavily in being tourist-friendly with lots of hotels at all price points and lots of varied attractions (beaches, mountains, jungle, fishing, hookers, temples, easy day trips to other countries). They also used to cater to the retiree crowd for people (mostly men) who aren't rich and need someplace cheap to live out their last years. Oh, and Thailand is big on LGBTQ+ shit so they get that crowd and the weirdos who want to pretend that ladyboys aren't gay.

>>2811327
>As for 2025 specifically, Thailand is one of the few places that Russians can visit, so I'm sure the numbers are higher because of that.
LOL. In 2025, 90% of Russians can't afford to buy food much less go on international vacations.

>>2811351
>Bangkok ... Its a concrete jungle
Then fucking take a bus to anywhere else. Thailand is a jungle country. You can hop on a bus for five hours for something like US$8 and end up in whatever scenery you want.

OP is on point. It's overrated and value wise not that good. It's an easy baby's first seamonkey journey and the obvious sex tourism/repressed fags destination. If THB went down 30% then sure, it would be approaching decent destination territory, until then, nah.

You can get just as cheap food and accommodation in Taipei with clean streets and air, plus far more English proficiency. So what's the real reason you are going to Bangers again?

I can't help but read this any other way other than a poorfag or extreme coomer typed this slop. What the hell are you going to need 20k bhat out for?
I'm not a huge fan of Thailand but at the same time I understand you book your airbnb, 600 USD worth of bhat goes a stupid long way. Sure it's not as cheap as a hole in the wall can be in Taiwan or Japan, but it's on par or lower in the other regards like food and booze.
>>
>>2811821
>What the hell are you going to need 20k bhat out for?
Because I spend half the year in the country. Even on DTV you can't get a local bank account.
Also I'm a poorfag wut? I go through 20k in a few weeks on food and entertainment, and no that's not spend on cooming.
Easily smoking 5k worth of joints weekly.
>>
>>2811836
>not satisfied with my own response
A reasonably decent dinner in a Bangkok sushi place or steakhouse for two plus some drinks can easily hit 2k, and that's a weeknight.

I can answer for a few places. Bangkok has modern infrastructure, cheap AF and very good food, Thai people are one of the best, mall culture.

For Pattaya right now, it's even more a shithole because of low tier pajeet shitters. Visa free for Indians is a mistake.

For Pai. Awesome weather, pretty laid back. One negative is the jews. So many fucking jews.

Lastly Hua Hin. One of the best beaches, good hike and places to explore. Overall good vibe there if you wanna relax at the beach without pajeet shitters.
>>
>>2811309
Because 90% of western men live isolated, pathetic lives where they go to work, come home, and eat frozen pizza in front of the TV while they fart into the seat cushion. There’s no sex, no social life, no female attention whatsoever. It’s just an oblivion of isolation.

That’s the reason. It’s not muh beaches or food. It’s a story of immense desperation.

Bangkok syndrome, the new Paris syndrome
Thai ATMs give out 500 and 100 baht bills, but you have to order them by keying in the correct withdrawal amount.
I'm not retarded, so I've never lost any item in my wallet. There are two cards in my wallet when I travel; if one is absent, it's very fucking noticeable. People handle cash in public all the time in Thailand, stop being a chickenshit and acting guilty at the ATM. Being a Schwab Chad, I get all ATM fees refunded.
>>
>>2811811
>>
>>2811892
>Being a Schwab Chad,
I'm sure they don't get that $7.50 usd back in other ways anon and you can just keep withdrawing to your hearts content.
We had this in Australia too and then everyone going to Thailand opened accounts with them solely to travel and avoid ATM fees.
They predictably stopped it about 3 years later.
Imagine thinking there's some free lunch here.
Thai banks charge the highest foreign ATM fees on the planet, your bank appealing to burgercoomers and then doing a rugpull while keeping customers is all but guaranteed.
>>
>>2811928

Never tried western union, you can go into a some bank branches and withdraw over 20k without a fee and it's considered like a regular debit card purchase but many try to get you to piss off
Are you really paying 1000 baht to British banking jews every time you withdraw for the lols? Wise as an atm card is a shitty deal, so many people don't realise it either. Other than that they're great for international stuff.

Even in the Michelin fine dining places in Bangkok it's basically impossible to rack up a 60k bill for two. Sorn has 3 stars and their 15 course dinner is under 10k.

>in Taipei with clean streets and air, plus far more English proficiency.
You've got to be fucking joking. I lived in Taiwan for a decade. Yes, the trash gets swept up daily by an army of workers, but the air pollution in Taipei is fucking grim, and English proficiency is nonexistent.

I remember trying to buy lunch at the KFC in Taipei 101 -- landmark skyscraper, tourists all over the fucking place, U.S.-based restaurant chain -- and the girls at the counter were so terrified of maybe having to talk to me in English that they were arguing over who had to do it. Like, I can just point at the fucking menu if you can't understand me. . . .
>>
>>2812109
>Even in the Michelin fine dining places in Bangkok it's basically impossible to rack up a 60k bill for two.
So you're talking baht. Thanks for being a dick about clarifying it.

It's easy to run up a US$2,000 restaurant tab; all it takes is a couple of bottles of champagne and being with an old Asian hag who's a fiend for foie gras.

Compared to Thailand? Absolutely wrong and easily proven.

Bangkok is one of the few cities in the world where you can just wander outside in the evening without a plan, and have a great time choosing your own adventure basically every time.

I really enjoyed Pattaya back in the old days. It was a hell of a lot of fun. It was a pleasant evening.

What are you talking about? You can wander around literally anywhere in the world, including places with beautiful nature and topography close to thriving market districts. Chugging water after eating a spicy greasy meal is a bad idea...
