With that being said, why Ljubljana? I went to Lake Bled once and it was a very pleasant place to spend a few days, but I can't imagine being there most of my time. I should say I am in my late 20s. As someone who is familiar with lotto, state lotto is often far far lower than mega millions people are thinking, from mega millions, powerball, etc. OP is most likely looking at ~50k-300k depending on the state. If it's some frozen hell like North Dakota it could be as low as 22k, a state that does not need you to disclose your name.

Your alibi would be much more believable if you moved to a different state rather than a different country. Pick a decent state (somewhere on the other side of the country if possible) and tell your parents that a friend of yours who lives in said state has invited you to live with him and is willing to hook you up with a job. Eventually you can tell them that you've earned enough money to get your own place so that if they ever decide to come visit you they never have to meet this made up friend. This is all assuming that you still want to keep in contact with you family and aren't trying to completely fuck off, of course.

while singapore is a sane default, some questions to ask ourselves would probably be:
1. why is bangkok low key a city of millionaires? of course, earning that fortune often comes somewhere else and they're just passing through even if the pass through is years
2. there still exists a range, a spectrum within SEA. philippines somewhere towards the bottom. laos, myanmar and non-urban cambodia just barely making the list at all.

I wouldn't say absolutely nothing works in every non-SG SEA country, but it probably rounds down to nothing. e.g. medical care does work in thailand. big things like public education do not work though.
