I recently won the jackpot in my state lottery. Fortunately it's not a dystopian state that forces your name to be public. I've won more money than I could ever dream of, but as a NEET I don't know what to do. As I cannot explain my immediate change in lifestyle, I've decided to assume the façade that I have got a job in another country and need to move within just weeks (my money will clear next week). So my questions to you anons, are:- Where should I move to? Money is not an issue, I will invest it safely in the stock market and live off dividends. I could afford literally anywhere beyond tax havens like Monaco but I have no desire to be there anyway (I'm sure Nice is nicer)- Do you have any suggestions for my alibi?I've been a NEETGOD for years now and the massive gap in my CV will turn some heads if they hear I am moving internationally for work. - Any places I should visit that you recommend in general?
Prove it retard. Otherwise, unironically Ljubliana.
>>2817324I'm obviously not going to do anything that could reveal my identity and I won't comment on any inevitable similar posts like this anymore. With that being said, why Ljubljana? I went to Lake Bled once and it was a very pleasant place to spend a few days, but I can't imagine being there most of my time. I should say I am in my late 20s. I don't necessarily need the 'hustle and bustle of the big city' (kek) but I don't really want to sit by myself on 4chan for the rest of my life looking out the window from time to time at a nice view of trees or a lake.
>>2817325So you're LARPing? Why are you asking then you dunce? Ljubljana is argualbly the most humanistic city in the world. It has everything one needs to fuck off and fade into oblivion. Hustle and bustle of major city, proximity to nature, walkability and livability. Go waste away in Abu Dhabi otherwise if that's your vibe.
>>2817326I'll look into Ljubljana, anon. Thanks for the suggestion. I have no desire to go to the trashy UAE
Montreal is pretty rockin'
>>2817332wtf.. i was gonna say ottawa
>>2817324>LjublianaAbsolutely boring place>>2817321Don’t tell them anything. Just leave. I became a multi millionaire from buying Bitcoin early on. I left my country as well because everyone and their brother will suddenly be my best friend once they know I’m rich. Just leave, I would suggest a place where you can park your money and buy property. If you’re an EU citizen I’d suggest Austria, or Greece depending on your taste. If you’re American, I’d suggest keeping the money in an ETF and living off the interest in South East Asia or Japan for a while.
>>2817366Literal LARP, just a simple screen shot of your portfolio. You won't though
>>2817371Portfolios can be faked. I don’t care if you believe me. I’m only making that one post above with my advice and this one. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have rich people things to do.
>>2817366Not OP but is SEA actual kino for millionaires? i would think of you had all the money youd ever need you would stay in the first wolrd
>>2817395>is SEA actual kino for millionairesIf you want actually warm weather all year and a high level of safety there's not many other places without being cloistered away in resorts separate from any local culture. Bangkok or Singapore are cities at least worth checking out and Thailand has nice tropical beaches in places that are comfortable enough to live. SEA isn't even my place, but I see the appeal>i would think of you had all the money youd ever need you would stay in the first wolrdEurope is cold half the year and can get boring after a while and what's the appeal of the Anglo countries other than making money that you already have?
>>2817400Most of Europe isn’t safe. They let literal murders, rapists, and knife wielding criminals go free all the time. “Europe” as a whole isn’t a good for a rich person, plus the tax burdens vary wildly.America is even worse when it comes to crime. No thanks.>>2817400
I'd recommend Roberts Rocks in Western Australia. Nobody would bother you there.
>>2817406you're an idiot. oh yeah Switzerland so dangerous
>>2817608The irony of posting this when Switzerland's fourth largest city is currently engulfed in rioting after some migrant crashed his bike and died while running from the cops
>>2817609how is that ironic at all
>>2817321Why do you want to move so badly, and more importantly, why don't you want any of your friends to know?
>>2817628>why don't you want any of your friends to know?Because they’ll start to hate and resent you. They will expect you to give them money. They’ll act as if the money is actually theirs. No. Read any account of people who told their loved ones or friends they won the lottery. It always ends badly.>why do you want to moveProbably because OP lives in an unsafe place. You’re asking a travel board why someone would want to travel? Not really the smartest are you
>>2817631Moving is very very different from traveling.
>>2817632Not if you’re rich.
>>2817321I'd move to Poland right now personally, if you're white that is.
Sydney, Australia, set yourself up in Potts Point, you're fucking laughing, legal prostitution, 1st world everything and great weather
>>2817638>be rich>live in australia lol. lmao even.
>>2817636Poland isn’t a good option. Due to political instability >on the border with an active war that could escalate >Germany dumping its most violent unwanted illegal immigrants into Poland daily>Illegals cross into Poland from Belarus dailyLong term Poland isn’t it.
>>2817680It's a nice place to visit. Visit. That's another thing about being selective where you put your money. It possibly would be a bad idea in a country that has a bad history. Imagine turning your dollars into zloty and just losing it all.
who funds this shit
>>2817321Build a doomsday bunker in New Zealand or Patagonia, the world is fucked.
If this isn't a larp,>I won the state lotto and will peace out to where no one will ever care about me in that state again>W-What you want me to prove it?!??!As someone who is familiar with lotto, state lotto is often far far lower than mega millions people are thinking, from mega millions, powerball, etc. OP is most likely looking at ~50k-300k depending on the state. If it's some frozen hell like North Dakota it could be as low as 22k, a state that does not need you to disclose your name.> I've won more money than I could ever dream of, but as a NEET I don't know what to do.Exactly how much did you win Anon? How are you paying taxes, a large amount of people who win the lotto end up in courts with it all gone due to failing to properly pay their taxes. Hire a CPA from a reputable firm in your area, lay out EVERYTHING you've done, cut your NEETbux off, and then see exactly how much you have. Often the gov takes 40-45% of your winnings. You then need to invest, in something real not like bitcoin, or lock in some of your earnings for when you inevitably spend too much and crash, lock away no less than 100k in some investment or trust that you can't access because you need poosy drunk one night.YOLO'ing it is the worst thing you can do right now. But again 99% chance this is a larp since unless I missed it OP didn't even disclose the amount he won, which changes a lot of things.
>>2817631If OP is keeping is mouth shut on 4chan of all places it's safe to say he can easily keep is mouth shut around others.>>2817634Moving is good for a NEET who won a substantial amount of moneyFirst off at least in America you have a lot of high value locations you can move into and have your money invested in equity for a greater return. Seriously moving to some good areas of the ski towns, large plots of land in the midwest that's growing as megacities have a second white flight, tropical climates of hawaii, guam, etc. All are wise investments and a stupid upgrade, a proper security system(which you should get regardless), and taking a month or two to wherever is kino.>bbbbbbut american niggers and mussiesPoors who think they are rich deal with these issues. If anon actually won enough to fuck off for life the smart play is to invest up to half of it on something long term or lock it into some kind of 5yr plan for a higher-than-average yield to purchase property or whatever after he has 5 years of fucking around done. It's a tale as old as the lotto of people going from rags to riches and then back to rags because they YOLO it.
Maybe Qatar.
>>2817321Travel to different countries for weeks at a time. Get a feel for the place. You know, travel. Then you can make up your own goddamn mind.
Bahamas for life.
>>2817400If you have any actual wealth why the fuck would you live anywhere in SEA but Singapore? The rest are literal garbage dumps full of the dumbest fucks on the planet. Absolutely nothing works properly and no one gives a shit about fixing anything. t.5 years in seamonkeyland
>>2817979my thoughts exactly
>>2817321Move somewhere else in America so you don't need to worry about language, visas, possible tax retardation beyond what you're already about to experience. Just change climate and that will be far enough
>>2817321Your alibi would be much more believable if you moved to a different state rather than a different country. Pick a decent state (somewhere on the other side of the country if possible) and tell your parents that a friend of yours who lives in said state has invited you to live with him and is willing to hook you up with a job. Eventually you can tell them that you've earned enough money to get your own place so that if they ever decide to come visit you they never have to meet this made up friend. This is all assuming that you still want to keep in contact with you family and aren't trying to completely fuck off, of course. As for where you should settle down long-term I think you should do what other anons have already suggested and just spend some time travelling around the world to see what you like best.Hope this helps.
>>2817744Not all countries tax lottery winnings. If the OP, for example, was the winner of a 250M jackpot recently won in Ireland, his winnings are tax free income. He would be taxed on things he spends it on, sure. Such as stamp duty on property etc.
>>2818211Anon the OP is clearly a NEET in the USA...

>>2817979>If you have any actual wealth why the fuck would you live anywhere in SEA but Singapore?>The rest are literal garbage dumps full of the dumbest fucks on the planet. Absolutely nothing works properly and no one gives a shit about fixing anything.>>2818069>my thoughts exactlywhile singapore is a sane default, some questions to ask ourselves would probably be: 1. why is bangkok low key a city of millionaires? of course, earning that fortune often comes somewhere else and they're just passing through even if the pass through is years2. there still exists a range, a spectrum within SEA. philippines somewhere towards the bottom. laos, myanmar and non-urban cambodia just barely making the list at all. I wouldn't say absolutely nothing works in every non-SG SEA country, but it probably rounds down to nothing. e.g. medical care does work in thailand. big things like public education do not work though.
>>2817321hire me to be your travel assistant and we will have a blast
>>28186091. Bangkok is for a lot of 'totally real don't ask I am legit 200%' millionaires, sure there are a lot but it's a big city. Thailand has a fairly easy visa system for the rich and your money goes pretty far compared to Singapore where CoL is higher. People who own businesses can easily find dirt cheap labor without much gruff.Since OP isn't stating how much he won for anyone to go on this is 100% a larp. There is a huge difference between winning the 'lotto' of 50k and +1m.
>>2818710Wrong nay dumbfounded.
P H I L I P P I N E S the answer is always philippines my guy. You can lock down the sexiest 9/10 petite perky breasts nice round ass filipina as long as you make $500/month. The more you make, the sexier she gets.
