Sarasota Florida to Japan, Tokyo?

What site /trick you use to get cheaper tickets?

Is fuel dumping still a thing?

$938 for a round-trip flight covering 14500 miles is as cheap as it gets, anon. That's about 6.4 cents per mile. Equivalent to $250 for a roundtrip flight from Tampa to LA (4300 miles).

What is the difference between basic economy and main cabin?
>>
>>2817610
That's pretty much what I was thinking

Don't know if my procrastinating change the prices. But overall I was hoping didn't really make too much of a difference

You live on the east coast and you're going to Asia. You're lucky to get a flight that cheap at all
>>
>>2817576
Anon... That's just the price for the ticket, it doesn't include a checked bag. "Basic" Economy is only worth it if you are travelling with the clothes on your back and a backpack, otherwise just pay the difference to have regular economy and also be able to not be treated like trash (more so than economy) by whatever company you decide to go with.

theres no trick to getting ultra cheap ticket to the dates you want, no matter how much you search online it's always "i booked with miles that i had so i paid nothing"
Look every day, search every route that won't make you kill yourself doing it (layover, start from other cities and such) and that's pretty much it. Depends where you go to, i pay paid 588 euros my round trip to China and back from Bangkok. always always book a ticket that include a checked luggage too, so not your pic)

This isn't Frontier Airlines; one carry-on bag is included, in addition to the personal item. The daypack with your laptop, checkbooks, spare cards, and miscellaneous items would be the personal item.
>treated like trash
Be your best impersonation of a compliant, passive NPC goycattle when flying. Don't stand out in any way. Eventually you will land, and then you can resume beeing yourself.

Yesterday I bought a domestic flight without checked luggage for the first time in all my travels, which will set the pattern for the remainder of my travel season. Currently planning on buying a new backpack, apparel, shoes, phone, etc. after arriving in South/Southeast Asia this December. It makes no sense to paypig for taxed tariffed goods in JewSA and then pay some more to have them transported back to the countries where they were manufactured.
>always always book a ticket that includes checked luggage
What do you travel with that must be stowed in checked baggage? Yeah, having a Swiss Army knife or Leatherman multitool is very handy when you're traveling, especially if you're a DIY kinda guy, but if you plan on doing a lot of flying on budget airlines, the cost of checked luggage will with time exceed the value of the items you are traveling with. Additionally, in China (and Laos) I've heard you can't bring knives into a train station, so you might as well leave them behind.
>look every day, search every route
Good advice. The more persistent you are in your search, the more likely you'll stumble upon a great (or at least passable) travel deal. Use Google AND Bing flight search aggregators.

Some airlines offer their best deals two months out. Booking more in advance can result in higher prices. Fiddle around with the travel dates as well to see what kind of price variation there is. Oh, and be sure that the price on offer is not some gimmicky third-party ticket price with Kiwi or Oojo, and is in fact the price being offered by the airline.

>What do you travel with that must be stowed in checked baggage?

I know there are some people that can travel with one small bag, i'm just not that type of person. if i'm spending 3 or 4 weeks abroad i need 3 different shoes at least, just how i am. Kinda wish i was able to travel ultra light, but well thats not me

Poor

I don't show my 20lb second carry-on bag at check-in and just pick it up after checking in. Checked baggage is for cucks.

You could spend 1/3 of that if you book directly with Chinese airlines in RMB
>>
>>2817879
>i pay paid 588 euros my round trip to China and back from Bangkok
Wew lad, I got from Europe to China and back for less.
There is a trick, and that is to quit work and have a fuckload of time to spare. When dates don't matter and you have all the time in the world for layovers, you can string together a bunch of dirt cheap separate ticket flights that'll take you anywhere for next to nothing and perhaps get to see a few extra cities along the way. But if you're dead set on going direct on, say, June 14th till July 1st, yeah, you're absolutely correct, there's no trick in the world that'll help you. You're entirely at the mercy of airline pricing algorithms.
What you can safely do though is ditch the checked luggage. Laundry shops exist for a reason, you don't really need more than 10 days of clothes. Knives and shit you can just buy wherever for pennies and bin them later.

You don't get to pick your seats and are in the last boarding group.
Usually this means the middle seat in the back.
Might as well spend more to get a decent seat, it's a 13+ hour flight

You can get a roundtrip ticket from Bangkok to Beijing for as low as $180 USD. Direct starts around $250. Maybe anon was one of those business class fags?
>separate ticket flights
In my experience, they're really not much cheaper than hunting for a good deal directly from an airline. Also, good long layovers which allow you to spend a night in an intermediate city are not very common with those third-party tickets. In fact, very few airlines offer long-layover flight itineraries (unless you know of a secret hack to get the long layovers, then by all means share it). It's so much better to buy a single ticket with an 18-24 hour layover between flights than it is to buy two separate tickets. You get to show up at the airport the next morning refreshed from a good night's sleep with your boarding pass already in your pocket.

Last Call Chads rise up. The plane's gonna leave when it's gonna leave, who cares if you board 10 minutes earlier or later than other people.
>>2818071
The airlines I've flown were strict about carry-ons. Don't bitch and moan when they weigh your items at the gate and charge you extra.

It's acshually quite nice not to have to lug your suitcase or duffel around when you're visiting a city on a stopover. If it's gonna be an overnight stay, don't forget to put a fresh change of clothes in your daypack before you check your bag.

Have fun sitting next to the bathroom in the middle seat

yea a round trip from beijing to bangkok, i'm talking about from europe to china and back for less than 600 euros on your own date with a checked luggage, hardly can find under that price

>"i can find cheaper that if i travel with one backpack on any given date"
yea no shit

smaller airports and alternative destinations
i.e. in summer I wanted to fly between Turpan and Zhengzhou, tickets were like 2500 yuan, but I realised that a new route was going to run between Hami and Zhengzhou for only 1000rmb
on the way out I also saw tickets going Beijing-Ordos-Kucha so instead of flying to Urumqi or Kashgar which were both 2000+ yuan I just spent 1100 on tickets to Kucha and had two days there

all the other retards flew direct to and from Urumqi and spent like 5000 rmb on plane tickets

Even eastern Europe is a 14000+ km roundtrip from eastern Chinese cities.
Best I see on a quick glance is $532 roundtrip for Istanbul to Shanghai with Etihad Airways.
>>2818513
I checked flights from almost every major city in Europe back to the USA before settling on Vilnius, Lithuania. 550 euros was no bargain, but you should've seen what the other carriers were asking for multi-layover flights.

I've been put in the exit row twice with random seat assignments, but never ended up next to the shitter.

I got a £490 ($660) roundtrip London to Beijing on Turkmenistan airlines when every other airline was like £800 or more. 32kg baggage allowance
Turkmenistan airlines is probably the cheapest way to get between western Europe and China, they have some flights to SEA as well but idk how economical those are
the only disadvantage is that there is usually only one flight per week, if you want more flexibility or to go one-way there are probably other cheaper options
coming back from Beijing to London one-way I also once went via Astana Airlines which was £250ish for a 3 hour layover in Almaty and an extra 5hrs of flying compared to direct (we had to dodge Russia and Ukraine). Direct was £500. They have one flight every three days Beijing-Almaty-London I think?

Getting two Lufthansa A -> B and B -> C tickets will never ever be cheaper than one A - > B -> C. The algorithm hates pricing direct flights low and you'd be getting two of those here.
What can be cheaper though is getting Wizz Air A -> B and Air Asia B -> C. Vastly cheaper at times, to the point you might just spend two or three nights chilling in B and still come out ahead financially.

They make the tickets cheaper if you're from a Conservative area
