I'm sorry but I kind of expected more from them.

I felt more looked after in First Class on the train I took to London than I did all the way to Sydney
>>
Basically all airlines are the same and you’re retarded if you book for any reasons other than price and/or convenience.
>>

Paying extra for your ticket due to "muh airline pricing dynamics" in no way ensures a higher quality of travel experience. All the same, it's the suckers who pay $1200 for a London to Sydney flight that enable airlines to offer cut-rate fare promotions. Thanks, suckers.
>>

its like a slightly better microwaved meal and some branding. But goycattle are retarded what can you do
>>

no way, i will always go between the west and asia on an asian airline (never tried any chinese mainland ones though) rather than a western one. westerners are stroppy workers and asians love to serve you. the level of service is not comparable at all

I fly with any air line except India based airlines. I don't want to set foor on indian soil for a transfer with the additional risk of getting stuck there.
I also don't want to be stuck in an airplane full of indians for hours.

Huh really?

I flew with Qatar recently and it was by far the best flight I ever experienced service-wise. Food was a bit underwhelming but the hard product + service was top notch.
I thought Etihad would be similar.
>>
Same. Qatar is really good. I tried both business and economy and both are good for the price.
In economy the food was good and the seat overall nice.
Business was amazing. Food was restaurant level and the qsuite is so good.
Bonus point for Doha airport that's nice.

>Bonus point for Doha airport that's nice.
yeah especially with the business class lounge access it's pretty ridiculous. the quality to price ratio is insane

Good thing that the gulf airlines do not serve the subcontinent.

At least they have attractive cabin crew.

You get diminishing returns when it comes to how much you spend on flights. The cheapest most basic tickets affords you whole point of airline travel. To cover vast distances quickly.

You pay more and more to get less and less after that. Great, if you have the money to fly business class good for you. You get more space and a better microwaved meal at double, more often triple the price. Beyond that what are you expecting? A golden toilet? A handjob from the indonesian stewardess?

Why not spend $20,000 and get the first class "apartment" or whatever they call it. Airlines make most their money on gullible luxury travelers.

tell me you've never travelled in full service business class on a good airline without etc etc
this same shit is posted in every thread as soon as someone mentions that they travel in something other than poverty class
once again, the time on the plane is only part of the experience

I’ve travelled in business many times on the employer dime before and out of pure luck. I would simply never pay for that out of pocket. If I’m ever that rich that money is that dispensable (unlikely to say the least) I’ll fly 135.

I’ve also flown on a few chartered jets and the experience there is beyond belief. It makes the absolute nicest, most ostentatious 121 product feeling like being on Spirit. Car drops you off, you hop on the plane, it goes, you get a meal, it lands, and the car comes out to the ramp to pick you up. You are at your destination in less time than it takes to go through security on a bad day.

Many "cheapest most basic tickets" are indirect, multi-layover routes that do not offer efficient travel from A to B.

I don't intend to ever fly an itinerary with more than one layover if I can help it. This upcoming travel season, my USA departure itinerary will take half the time of last year's itinerary (21 hours versus 42 hours). Distance from origin to destination is only 300 km shorter this year, so that much time saving is a HUGE upside. Additionally, the fare is significantly cheaper, $409 versus $699 for last year.

The more you pay the more fluff you get. There is nothing wrong with that you want to spend your money on fluff. Don't pretend that business class is some otherworldly experience that accomplishes something different than cattle class.

This. I had the chance to travel First Class on Lufthansa and it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, but I used basically all the miles my dad had accrued over a lifetime, he wanted to gift me that 'experience'. It was awesome, I had a full menu of fancy options to pick from, my own little suite onboard, had my own private bathroom to take a shower at the Frankfurt airport lounge, but I would never pay for that out of pocket it's just not worth the money.

On short flights, business is even more retarded and obviously not worth it, you just get a little more legroom and a better snack.

Qatar > Emirates > Etihad

Personally, I prefer flying via Singapore because I am autistic and enjoy the butterfly room

I flew with them for the first time recently and I was pleasantly surprised, that's all. It's kind of depressing how shit most airlines are becoming so I think they deserve some praise (even if they're also getting worse like your video is claiming).

I flew Qatar in business and first and found it underwhelming. Not bad by any means but not worth the hype either. I had a better experience with Lufthansa and Cathay in first.
