I'm here for a month. What can I do at Singapore that isn't just:
>food
>visit theme park
where can i meet people this place is a dystopia
>>
Visit Geylang
>>
>>2819859
> goes to a place that combines SEA monkeys with jeets
> surprised it's a shithole with no merit

As the other guy said visit gayland or whatever and suck cock for a month then never speak of it again. You're only as gay as what you allow yourself to remember.
>>
>>2819859
here we go with another bitching about singapore thread
>What can I do at Singapore
what do you do in your home country? do that
>where can i meet people
where do you meet people in your home country? try that
>this place is a dystopia
obviously it isn't, but it got just a little bit more dystopian when you arrived
>>
>>2819859
The bigger question is who will they side with in the US China War?
>>
>>2819862
so have you visited Singapore
>>
>>2819859
where can you meet white people in singapore or did they get culturally replaced by jeets
>>
>>2819866
There are white expat communities but you can only get into them by also being an expat and meeting people through word of mouth via other expats in your professional circle. They are definitely not interested in speaking to tourists
>>
>>2819862
>what do you do in your home country? do that
I like hiking in the mountains, visiting small towns, not being within 100 miles of a shopping mall, and being hours away from people. Where can I do all of that within Singapore's borders?
>>
>>2819864
i go there maybe once or twice every few weeks
>>2819869
you're a funny one anon
what makes you think you are stuck "within singapore's borders"? it is not a prison camp.
i presume you are not the op, because "wanting to meet people" and "being hours away from people" are not really achievable at the same time.
but if you really want to do all of those things, as opposed to, y'know, just making stuff up to be awkward on 4chan, then singapore has both an airport and a seaport which are hubs for the whole region.
>>
>>2819881
hey, op here, that wasn't me, you from Australia? don't know much about what to do, might just visit a D&D area.
>>2819869
I don't know man, maybe a park but you'd not be far away from people.
>>
>>2819884
>hey, op here, that wasn't me, you from Australia?
i'm from the uk, i live in malaysia, i travel all around the region.
singapore is like any other big city really, there is always stuff going on if you look for it. i go there to see bands, comedy etc that don't come to malaysia
is "d&d area" some new code word for sex tourism? or do you actually mean d&d?
>>
>1 month in Singapore
You can literally see the entire country 3 times over

That's really all singapore is, most people having some form of escapism there in luxury goods to get over the fact that's all there is. You know the reason they have such an efficent airport is because the average singaporian travels a fuck ton right?
>>
>>2819886
yeah d&d. is malaysia alright?
i just know they have draconian laws
>>
>>2819859
I lived in Singapore for 3 years around 2017–2020 and never ran out of things to do or people to meet. Skill issue.
>where can i meet people
White people and East Asian expats? Nightlife or meme hobbies like climbing gyms. Singaporeans? Nightlife but often cheaper venues / closer to heartland areas. Rich Chinks? Nightlife but expensive venues.
>>
>>2819890
>i just know they have draconian laws

if you're up for some degeneracy just post up at clarke and wear some flashy bullshit. you'll meet people nonstop. suggest rizzing up gold diggers and then using them as an in for groups/VIP at clubs.

you can leechmaxx so hard in sg it's unreal.
>>
>>2819860
For me it's Lorong 18
>>
>>2819890
ok well assuming you do mean dungeons and dragons then it's quite popular in singapore. start here https://www.tableminis.com/
a lot of people who play dnd also seem to be into card games like pokemon, magic the gathering etc. these are all wildly popular around asia including singapore. there is a big pokemon store right in changi airport and several game stores around the island
>is malaysia alright?
it wouldn't be my first choice of a country to live in but that's what life has turned out like. it's a fucking weird place, that's for sure
>i just know they have draconian laws
yeah they do, although as long as you don't go to the areas with large muslim majorities you can pretty much get away with anything.
personally i find the censorship the most annoying thing, that's one of the reasons i go to singapore.
>>
>>2819965
dang, how'd you get there? thanks for the site recommendation :)

Except the celebrities. IYKYK.
SG here, singapore is too small for 1 month you see all shit in max 5 days.
Botanic gardens + orchid garden (pay per entry but worth it), night safari, hawker food, 1 or 2 cool bars.
Spend the other 3 weeks in malaysia. The currency goes way further
>>
>>2821879
>The currency goes way further
get lost sinky stop sneaking in to buy our cheap fuel
>>
>>2819859
You can shop, anon! Singapore is more of a shopping mall than a country
>>
>>2819859
Go back , we are full. Seriously
>>
>>2819898
>>2819869
It's funny seeing you little SEAmonkeys get pissed when someone says Singapore is, in fact, boring and there's nothing to do. When that poster said do whatever you like to do in your country, I said what I like to do. And you get pissed because your country offers nothing.

Yes, you can eat at TGI Fridays in your country. No, we're not impressed. No, we won't travel to your country just to do that. Singapore is a decent place to have a weekend stopover. Nothing more.
>>
>>2823343
You can't afford Singapore, one of the world's most expensive cities, and that makes you seethe.
>>
>>2823347
>expensive = good
Lol
>>
>>2823347
I've been there. I can afford it. Doesn't mean it's worth it.

And what's with Singaporeans bringing up money in every single discussion, no matter what it is? Nobody is impressed with your money. Nobody cares that you sit in an office all day and do nothing to generate fake cash. You're not interesting and the complex about wanting to be rich and cultured like other countries is obvious.
>>
>>2823361
>And what's with Singaporeans bringing up money in every single discussion, no matter what it is?
it is a way of gauging comparative status when they have no other markers
all foreigners look the same to them at first. they act pretty much the same too. unless you make the effort to distinguish yourself somehow, they are not going to bother with you. if you find people who are somehow similar to you e.g. share the same taste in music, have the same hobbies or whatever, then you will find they are pretty much normal people
it is the same in every country, but you probably don't notice it. for example when i worked in the usa and started conversations with people by saying nice car, nice watch or whatever, they would immediately launch into a tedious monologue about how they "got a great deal" on it or similar. it is basically the same conversation, phrased differently
>>
>>2819859
Hey OP. Why are you there for a month? Is it for a holiday or work? If it's for a holiday, then like anons have said in this chat, it's wayyy too long. It's a 3, max 4 day destination. And it's a fkn sick place if you're not a poor fag faggot like 99% of this board who stay in hostels and go hiking and sit around at parks. Fk i love not being poor.
>>
>>2823494
Same fag here. SIN has everything. Sick food, both swanky high end restaurants and cheaper hawker style places with indian, chinese and everything in between. Also don't forget to go Jumbo cilli crab at Clarke Quay, that's if you're not poor.

And once you're done filling your belly, head over to the bar at the Grand Hyatt just off Orchard road for some high-end company with drop dead glamours, if you know what i mean. If you have less money then go around the corner to Orchard Towers, or four floors of ... And if you're poor, go to Geylang like the other anon said.
>>
>>2823495
Oh and i forgot to add. Go do some window shopping at Marina Bay Sands just to feel how poor you really are.

Also, the meals are usually quite small. I had to order 2 meals at times. And I'm not even that big of an eater. I'm brown, but I'm not poor, nor do i have poor hobbies like hiking and reading.
>>
>>2823497
>Go do some window shopping at Marina Bay Sands just to feel how poor you really are.
i stay there nearly every time i go to singapore. the rooms aren't really anything particularly special, but i like that area with the gardens and the "supertrees" and all that.
>nor do i have poor hobbies like hiking and reading.
reading is the richest hobby a person can have
maybe if you did it a bit more, you could learn to form normal human relationships, instead of having to pay desperate thirdie hookers to suppress their vomit reflex long enough for you to paw at them
>>
>>2823626
Anon, he's brown, having hobbies wouldn't help in his case
>>
Go to the Raffles bar and have a Singapore Sling.
>>
>>2823497
Yeah, brown people tend to have no appreciation of nature and no capacity to understand literature. Flaunting money that we give you is all you have.
>>
>>2819859
Do a battlefield tour anon. If you have time, you could do a combined Malaysia Singapore battlefield tour.

If you are interested in public policy, Singapore is amazing. Eg visit the URA gallery to look at city planning. You can see what the country has planned to do over the next 5 years. If you're interested in housing policy, visit HDB Hub in Tampines. You can see how public housing is planned and built and can see the public housing available to citizens right now.
>>
>>2819869
Go to Pulau Ubin or one of the other islands people go to do diving.
>>
>>2819862
I just sit around in my pants in my flat in my home country
>>
>>2819859
I've been there recently. This place fucking sucks and is a shithole beyond belief. Fuck Singapore and anybody who recommends this dumb nation
>>
>>2823343
never said it was the perfect place
grew up there as an expat i'm fully white
if you go to singapore when you like isolation and walks in forest, as the anon who posted this said, yes you are retarded
Singapore is amazing to live or to visit for a week. anything in between would suck

Any good cooming locations in Singapore still open?

The obvious whorehouses seem to have all closed down, plenty of suspicious massage places still but not sure which ones are worth going to.
>>
>>2824200
I hated cooming in Singapore, mid-tier Thai or Filipino whores for 50x the price in Thailand and the Philippines
just use Tinder and at least meet reasonable people, it's a fun city to hang out in

Is there a forest or MOUNTAIN at singapore
>>
>>2824440
no retard go to cambodia if you want forests or mountains
singapore is a >130 IQ filter and anybody with a brain knows that it's south korea on steroids
>>
>>2824440
a forest or mountain where you'll be alone ? no
if you wanna be alone unironically go toward the west side of the country, especially during weekend, theres really not much going on

in any case, i don't see why anyone would go in a forets or mountain (unless they are being active/running) the heat will absolutely kill you if the insects don't already. it's not a pleasant experience
>>
i dont understand the point of this thread

>Also don't forget to go Jumbo cilli crab at Clarke Quay, that's if you're not poor.
Jumbo is the most overpriced chili crab restaurant chain in Singapore. Plenty of better options like Melben, Hua Yu Wee, Roland. Some of the tastiest crabs are in the more local places in Alexandra or East Coast Park.
>If you have less money then go around the corner to Orchard Towers, or four floors of ...
Four floors closed down years ago, barely anything remains in Orchard Towers.
>>2823497
>I'm brown
Yeah I can tell from how shit your advice is and from how half of your post is trying to pretend like you're rich because you can afford a crab for dinner.
>>
>>2825632
lol mate. White people are fkn retarded aye. they walk for 2 weeks sleeping on jagged rocks so they can walk up a fkn mountain. Or hike 2 hours into the bush so they can read Harry Potter or Gatsby pretending that theyre scholars of literature.

that being said, im thinking of doing a 2-3 night quick trip to SIN for my bday in a couple of months. Last time i was there was 8 years ago. Anyone have any non-poor suggestions?
>>

I'm not going to recommend some back alley place in the suburbs that meant for locals. That's why people give you the side eye.

> Four floors closed down years ago, barely anything remains in Orchard Towers.
yeah right. good to know. as i said, i havnt been there in 8 years. would be keen to see what's changed.

> trying to pretend like you're rich
I never said im rich. Im just not poor so much so that my hobbies involve travelling to different countries on Scoot and AirAsia, staying in back alley hostels meant for the homeless and strays, blah blah i could go on...
>>
>>2825913
Eating at popular restaurants only tourists visit isn’t the mark of pride you think it is. That’s what fat Americans taking their first international vacation ever do. The difference is they realize it’s a mistake and don’t brag about it.
>>
>>2825914
> isn’t the mark of pride
wtf you talking about man? go outside and stop trying to read in between the lines of a dumb 4chan post.
>>
>>2825913
>Im just not poor so much so that my hobbies involve travelling to different countries on Scoot and AirAsia
people bitch about airasia but the fact is they are not bad as budget airlines go. they fly to a lot of places that would be difficult to get to otherwise.
however i would not pick them as my first option if there were other better airlines available
>>
>>2825666

Singapore selectively enforces it's rules on any caucasian. There's an ENTIRE neighborhood I had gone next to, and it's enlightening.
>land at singapore
>go towards my hotel, conveniently booked a few streets away
>it takes forever to get there, it's like an hour
>btw it's just a few kilometres
>every single person nearby is a jeet
>they don't follow their own fucking rules
>they don't line up in a queue, they just fucking ignore it, even though they're young
>btw the jeets are using wheelchairs to skip the queue now. i saw a jeeta walking perfectly fine without a wheelchair
>the escalators are fucked, they're all crowded
>the metro nearby sounds cool, maybe i can go there
>ask somebody with a phone out on directions to get to the nearest NTUC
>the jeets don't speak ENGLISH, they DONT EVEN HAVE THE DECENCY TO LOOK AT THEIR FUCKING PHONE
>"no understand, no understand"
>btw, jaywalking is very common here. the indians, and the older chinese all do it.
>nobody fucking cares
>go to geylang, the thread says its good
>there are no thai "women" or pinoy queens as promised here
>ITS ALL FUCKING JEETS
>THEY DONT EVEN LOOK GOOD
>THEIR NAMES SOUND RETARDED
>IT FUCKING STINKS
>NOT EVEN THE FUCKING NORTH IS SAFE
>JEET FAMILIES DONT EVEN SPEAK TO OTHERS
>THE CHINKS DONT SPEAK
>THE FILIPINOS WILL SCAM YOU
>THE MALAYS ARE RETARDED AND FREELOADERS
>THEY FUCKING FINE ME FOR WALKING ON THE ROAD WITHOUT PRESSING A FUCKING BUTTON DESPITE JEETS NOT FOLLOWING THEIR RULES
I slowly began to hate them. This place fucking stinks.
>>
>>2826602
Grim as fuck. It's going to reach boiling point soon.
>>
>>2826602
Regarding selective enforcement against caucasians, I'm white and the only place I've been taken aside for additional screening is in Singapore. I'm the most stereotypical strait laced nerdy white person around so I found it kind of strange. After my full search was over, I decided to stop and see if it was truly random. I had hours to spare so I spent about 30 minutes standing there.

Not a single jeet, chink, negro, or middle eastern person was stopped. But every time a group of white people or solo white person passed through, a fat chink would pull them aside and do a thorough search on one of them. The funniest was a large white family that all went through in separate groups, so the guard didn't realize they were together. The mom, teenage daughter, and teenage son all got pulled aside then regrouped on the other side and knew something was up.

This thread only furthers the proof of it. Singaporeans have a massive inferiority complex against white people. And they should.
>>
>>2826616
I've seen this too. It's likely that the chinks are smart and do it for the money, because >>2826602 is right i haven't seen malays(your grab drivers) getting fined for smoking in no smoking zones, while we get fined for zero reason

only dumb white people go to singapore and think they can do what they want
lived for 11 years i know very well, and i'm white
apart from jeet the most annoying and non law-abiding ppl are white people
btw i've never ever been stopped or search in my 11years here, i bet you look like a loser stoner dude, which is why they stopped you
the same rules and law don't apply to you a white man as they local
the sooner you realise this the better you'll be in singapore, and if you don't like it, ok you can fuck off we don't need you
thats how this country work
