Any ideas on what do and where to travel to during Chirstmas time? I'm based out of the Dallas area.I have 16 days off in a row around Christmas. Can't spend it with family this year. I guess prices to go anywhere spike around then but that's when I have this big chunk of time off.
ozarks or appalachia
>>2819973Ozarks is close enough to drive, any specific reasons why? Sorta nearby I was thinking maybe New Orleans would be cool during Christmas?
>>2819976closest nice hills 2 uI like seeing hills when I travel, and you won't be with family so being in a tourist trap city doesn't matterNew Orleans is too diverse.

You can fly nonstop to Rome from Dallas in December for $500 roundtrip. The high speed trains are great for getting around. No need to rent a car. You could do Rome, Florence, Bologna, Verona and Venice. You could also go up into the Dolomites and ski or snowboard that time of year. Rome is usually in the upper 50's in December. They do a lot of Xmas events.
