I like to reminisce what it might have been like to big game fish during the time of Hemingway in Key West/Cuba. I like to think about being in the time of the Aztecs as I ascend the dangerous steep and narrow steps of the Sun pyramid, or imagine what the daily life was like during the viking settlement time in AD 900 in say Iceland, or what the heck it looked on a market day in Pompeii. There are still beautiful tiles on the ground from Roman tiles when you visit some ruins. I usually try to have a good book on my kindle that features where I currently am in the world, not just guidebooks.
