>finally have a good WFH job and financial stability for things like travelling>I'm almost 40it's over
>>2824719time to kys then, innit?
>>2824719Should have backpacked as a brokie in your prime years. Probably would have gotten tons of pussy that way too
>lying around and cuddling>asks me their name>can't remember>YOU FORGOT? ARE YOU REALLY THAT FUCKING OLD?>almost 40Old age jokes settle it. There can be no delusions of having more time. Aging is always a hard hit and aging cannot be stopped. It's over unc. Stay in your wage cage. Land of the free is your cell.
45yo here. Practice gratitude. You're in a better position than ~90%
I'm almost 50 and never stopped traveling. Get in shape.
>>2824757Aging is the future for huge swaths of the world. If you want to be around young people, you can go to sub-Saharan Africa.>almost 40, goes to Thailand>average age in Thailand is 41 years>still perceived as young
>>2824719better late than never anonmy family was poor as church mice when i was a kid and i didn't really travel anywhere until i got a job that involved traveli haven't really stopped since then and probably won't until they carry me off the plane in a boxjust enjoy it anon. chances are you're still going to be better off than all of the fucking mouthbreathers on this board
>>2824719I'm almost 40 and work from home as well and travel more and more each year. What's your problem?
Midlife crisis is a bitch. Get in shape anon, it wont give you back the lost years but you will sure look and feel younger.
>>2824719>it's overwhy? You can still a lot of shit at that age.
>>2826265like?
>>2827245Bird watching, crochet, stamp collecting.....ooh! Coin collecting! Call it Numismatology when you hit 50+ to add refinement and credibility to it.It will say "Im an adult." and not "Im still working things out."
travel is best done when you're unemployed and on the brink of financial ruin
>>2824719Fuck off grandpa nobody cares
>>2827280I'm afraid this is true, I'm in a noticeable better position that most of my peers but they have more fun memories and experiences than I, it fucking sucks.
>>2827301then again the grass is always greenerpart of them will wish they had your better finances and stability
>>2824767It’s one thing to believe that you are better off than most people on earth. It’s mother for that belief to actually make you feel better.
time to settle down with a SEA ladyboy prostitute wifu
Yeah, well it's gonna be the norm more and more since boomers ruined everything for everyone.
>>2824719>I'm 40 it's overDid /fit/ or some "alphamaxxing" zoomed tiktoks tell you that?
>>2827280>>2824724trvth nvkes
Solo travel is overrated. It's basically just you, drunk and alone in different places. It works better for Chad or Stacey because everyone wants to fuck them wherever they go.Find a wife, have some kids, take them on a cruise or go to Disneyland or something. Go to SEA for the temples when you retire.
>>2827534Don't threaten me with a good time
>>2830483peak NPC post
>>2824778thisthere are 80 year olds who still do marathonsstop whining and get healthy
Same, I'll never have this, I'm too old nowhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FHCYHldJi_g
>>2824778>>2830624Based.
>>2824719It's sad to realize there are anons older than my dad on some anonymous board posting pathetic shit like this. Why didn't you do this earlier? I spent 6 months working saving every penny so I could travel to Japan, and I just barely turned 20. Waiting your whole life to live, then being filled with regrets.
>>2831380Good for you anon
>>2829487It's hilarious how demoralized /fit/ actually is >>2830483I make plenty of friends traveling alone, sounds like a (You) issue? Need to find expat and nomad groups before you go in many places, they don't give a shit you're a blow-in, it's someone different to the usual crowd
>>2831380Not him but... I also started traveling to Asia at 20, but it's different when you're a troubled anxious kid fresh out of American suburbia and a dysfunctional abusive family.I have regrets because I didn't have my shit together to some basic degree back then with lots of psychological baggage. I wanted to get things together but didn't know how and no one would teach or help me. I never had a stable, safe, private, comfortable place to live until I was 30.Now I'm almost 40 and finally have shit pretty solid together, at least financially, but it's still not the same at all.You really need to be born into a fortunate position to travel well when you're that young. Or at least not in a total shit position from other peoples bullshit. Being mental from bad environments and anxious takes a lot of time to fix.
>>2831380>I spent half a year paying for a trip to JapanDo weebs really?
>>2831380Nobody cares. You live at home with your parents and have an easy life. Most aren't so lucky.
To fully experience travel, you must be naive, stupid and inexperienced. AKA young, so yeah, it's over.
>>2834029>retarded blackpill fuckwit 'jakposter chimes inI still smash zoomer backpackers while approaching 40. Young guys are retarded and self-absorbed, they don't have the money to do anything actually fun.How many young people are doing heli-tours or liveaboard reef diving while on holiday?
>>2824719Why don’t you just move to central Vietnam with your fancy job and bride a Russian.
Sorry but no second chances
>>2834337>let me show you two student athletes who train and study their asses off to stay on the team to illustrate that self-improvement doesn't workthis post is and always has been lazy retard blackpill cope shared by crabs-in-a-bucket fatalists who are frightened of piloting their own destinies
Mid 30s and having this same realization anon. We just have to do better with whats left.
>>2831419there's literally a 0% chance you will score a girl like that when traveling if you are 30+ unless there's money changing hands.
what kind of expectations do you guys have for travelling? unless you live in a third world shithole you can go across country by bicycle in summer basically for free (you can even rent out your place in that time). vagrant holiday gave some useful tips where to sleep (I explicitly mentioned bicycle because travelling by airplane and then train within the country like he did is more expensive than just renting or buying some used bike at destination). most could afford that on social benefits, no need to work at all. if that is too hardcore, consider a slightly higher budget, take a car, anything the size of a sedan or bigger and sleep in there.but if "travelling" is just another word for prostitutes and drinking (hence saving money), just say so, it has nothing to do with going to new places, with adventure.
>>2834613Based and true. There are too many failed normies on this board and not enough eccentric travelers.
>>2834613I enjoy experiencing other cultures, cuisines, architectures. Just wandering around a city that's completely foreign to yours is pretty fun. If I just want to see a nice lake or mountain then sure I can find that within driving distance, but that is only a fraction of the experiences that travel brings you.
