I'm pretty sure Grab has user ratings that show who tips, who's rude, etc. When I started doing it routinely I noticed finding cars where there aren't many drivers got easier. As for the restaurants, waiters remember me and that makes me look good when I go out with the other foreigners, makes it easier to fix messed up orders, etc. Also I'm getting older myself and I admit I feel some type of way when the waitress smiles at me the way she did back in 2015.
