I am an American and am about to enter a field which highly relies on security clearances. However, I met a girl on-line who lives in Iran and I really like to visit her in the foreseeable future, so I can meet her family and see if they approve of me. I do have a few questions, though.Would I be welcome there as an American? Will police (or the IRGC) bother me? Would I get detained or interrogated upon my return to America? Would doing this void my security clearance? What if I made this trip multiple times?
>>2825503Hopefully Iran kidnaps this anon and forces him to work on nuclear enrichment with an electric shock implant inside his nutsack.
>>2825510I wish I was doing nuclear (pronounced nu-cu-lar) engineering I am in aerospace, though. (Not going to dox myself much more than that.Picrel are some fighter jets "Made in Iran" (though some people believe that they are just extensively modified pre-Revolution American aircraft).
loose lips sink ships. there is a non-0% chance that shes an MOIS glowie
>>2825503the short answer is yes. its either gonna be the job or the girl, my man. even if she was genuinely a completely innocent apolitical person, they would still not like that. you might get away with it for a while but the more often you trip their automated security screen (easy to do at airports) they will start looking into you harder
>>2825503from what I know anecdotally, having a contact in a country like Iran (much less visiting her) will fuck up your security clearanceI wouldn't disclose your relationship with her, maybe meet in a third country (UAE, Qatar, Turkey, etc) if you REALLY need to see hertravelers with American passports are unable to travel independently in Iran, so it's doubtful how much quality time you'd have
>>2825539>>2825541I see. Thank you. I probably will keep it hush hush and only us really know about it (maybe her family does, but my parents don't have a clue).Would Europe be even better?>>2825537I am aware and have not revealed anything more than engineers use a lot of Matlab (which I just called a very powerful coding/calculator interface) and CAD.
what's the point of these larp posts? what do you get out of doing this?
>>2825575It isn't a LARP. Here is some Matlab code that I did for an assignment this past week. I hope this helps you believe what I am telling you is true.
>>2825578Before someone criticizes the code (for all I know someone from /sci/ may be lurking), the given values are at the very top as these were used as part of a multi-problem document. Nothing too difficult as it is still early in the semester.
>>2825578>It isn't a LARPYou're replying to the security guard. He always calls anyone who is successful a LARPer. Just ignore him.You sound early 20s. If you need security clearance in the future you are contained. You cannot visit certain countries without handicapping your career. You just have to come to terms with it. You're young, find someone else.
>>2825503Doesn’t matter now. Your security clearance is gonna be null and void after palantir logs this post. Trust no one over there. I like Persians and find Persian girls attractive but there is a lot of underage, incestual and violent fuckery there. And if you’re some creep who goes for some mid teen virgin you may be killed if you fuck around possibly by her. A Persian girl would be the most likely to bite your dick off or try and poison you imo.
>>2825554Just meet her in Georgia they love Americans there.
I presume this is a LARP:Assuming you have a 'clearance', you are manditorially required to disclose your international travel plans to your security folks. 99% of the time, they'll tell you have a great time. But if go to hostile nation-state like the PRC, Iran, Russia, etc., w/o telling security, and they find out, congratulations, you'll lose clearance, your job, and have a very difficult time explaining how you fell for a Persian princess with a couple of FBI agents. You should have lawyer on retainer for that matter as you can expect to drop about $25,000 to get you off for the criminal charges you stupidly brought upon yourself. You'll end up appearing before a Federal Magistrate with appearing deal allowing for probation and as an added bonus turning in your passport for 5 years. Also, your Persian princess will be banned from entering the country. You'll never work at any facility involving government work ever again (that applies to Federal, State, and Local). That also means your aerospace career is over because you'll be required to disclose any criminal malfeasance when applying for a job. Of course, you could lie about that, too....Do yourself a favor and grow the fuck up.
>>2825503>met a girl on-line>who lives in Iranwhich desperate pathetic online chat space did you "meet" this "girl" in?
americans and most western tourists need to have a mandatory guide with you all the time and can only stay in certain hotels and cannot leave without a guidesimilar to NK
>>2825503>met a girlWho's going to explain it to him that he fell for the oldest glowy scam in history?1. this women doesn't exist nor is the glow nigger pretending to be a girl female2. Congratulation you are now on the glowy "dumbest retards on this planet" list, so if they need someone to blame for something you're a high priority candidate.Enjoy the rest of life oh and your security clearances consider them void. Thanks for playing.
>>2825503Just yolo. You're young and should chase pussy. Iranians are hot, and know how to party in closed groups. You'll have the time of your life. The nsa and shit are overrated, nobody will know where the fuck you are as long as you're smart. Iran doesn't stamp passports. Make sure you buy a burner phone wherever you're transferring from. Don't log into any goynet shit like facebook or whatsapp.
This is called a honey trap
>>2825594I haven't got a clearance yet, but I am applying for jobs and most of them require one. I am asking in advance before I actually go through the screening process. The answer is overwhelmingly a no, so I will not go. I am open to a third country to meet in.>>2825607Actually through a classmate on-line (from Oman, but is studying at my University) who gave me her Telegram (their families have known each other for a very long time). They last saw each other when he was 9 and she was 7, but have had on-line contact since then. She is 19 soon to be 20 now. >>2825609I am aware of this and I am the with it. It is not as of we are going to have sex, it is more just to meet her family and see if they approve of me. I guess that I could try finding someone else, but it is has been a long road to getting a gf.I will not mass reply, but this should address some of what people are saying.
>>2825696The guide most likely will not allow you to go to a random woman's house. They follow an itinerary, and you visiting a random person's house raises two problems: one, obviously, is sex in a country where it's a crime punishable by execution; two, there's the risk of you being a spy, because why the fuck would you have some connection to some random Iranian family that you've never met? And unfortunately for you, both of these are the absolute worst things to get caught for in Iran. The slightest suspicion of being a spy will result in you being detained. Iran is a fine place to visit so long as you don't try to bend the rules the slightest bit and do absolutely nothing that's remotely suspicious. But if you're just a little too weird, they'll happily arrest you and flash your face on state media. You can be 100% clear that you're not a spy. You can have piles of evidence that you don't have sex. But Iran does not care. You're a strange foreigner and they have no reason to believe your motives, you're from a country that's bombed them, and they can use your weirdness to score a political win. They will gladly do it.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_foreign_nationals_detained_in_Iran
>>2825704This is a very good point. You talk sense. Do you have any more suggestions?
More proof that feminism and womens rights have destroyed America. All of our engineer-types are dweeby little incels who will fly to foreign nations and leap head first into a glowie honey pot just for a crumb of pussy. If we had state issued girlfriends, or if we still lived in the good ol days where you could purchase a family's daughter for 5 silver coins and a mule, this poor young man wouldn't have to jump through so many hoops just to get laid.
>>2825732I do not know what you are on about. American girls are not interested because I dislike contemporary pop culture. I enjoy classic theater (not slop like Hamilton), classical music (not pop or rap) and I generally do not care about sports, film or television. I would not call myself an incel, just a hopeless romantic looking to share some common interests with.
>>2825749it's good that you don't see yourself as a>dweeby little incelbut that is how girls see youAlso, if you really need some persian pussy just set your tinder to Baku and book a flight once you've built a solid line up
>>2825711Yes, hold still while I smash this 4x2 into your head you dumb fuck. I am assuming this is a troll as not even the most inbred, Asbestos eating Russian would be thus fucking stupid.
>>2825781If you think I am retarded, that is because I probably am. That said, some people suggested meeting a third country (Mid East and Georgia) and just wanted to hear someone have a say as far as whether this is advisable or not.My apologies, really.
>>2825749Brother, please realize that this self-image of yourself, combined with a career in the line of work you're in, is literally, totally, 100% pure crack cocaine for any foreign agency spook looking to get you into trouble. Just based on your responses: You're bright (but not confident in you decisions, otherwise this thread wouldn't exist), have a bit of an ego (You posted Matlab code basically unprompted to show you're not a phony) and feel alienated from your surroundings (See your willingness to pursue a woman you've never met on the other side of the world and despise for contemporary popular culture, which you also feel elevates you a bit from the common folk). Every one of these traits is a possible vector for any foreign agent to take advantage of you, the combination of these is literally a jackpot. You have a duty to yourself, to the work you do and to your family, friends and country, which may not be apparent in your early 20s, but which will become much clearer in your future. It's not worth it, take care of yourself and stay vigilant.
You will lose your clearance 100%.-t. TS/SCI holder
>>2825785Bless you. I think I know what to do now.Truth be told I just cannot stomach contemporary pop culture more because of a lack of interest rather than elevation (and also I cannot stand people like Justin Beaver, TuPaul Shacker and the like, but I think most people on this website would agree because it is not full of 18, 19 and 20 something year old girls). This has led to awkward conversations. Small talk is hard when you have nothing in common with the other person.
>>2825783I commented earlier about Georgia and that’s your best bet providing the Islamic state of Iran even lets women fly alone. I wouldn’t be surprised if she has to get permission from her family. But yeah I’ve been to Georgia lots of Persians there visas wouldn’t be a problem. No one would kill you for going on a date or having sex. You could drink too.
>>2825895Good to know, thank you. How hard is it to learn Georgian. I already know four languages, but Georgian just looks very hard to me. Could I get buy with a different, easier language?
>>2825968Why would you need to learn Georgian? It's 2025. Unless you're going to far off rural areas alone and planning to live there for months, English will get you into any country and checked into a hotel.
>>2825970Some of the former Soviet Republics are not known for having a lot of English speakers, but I could be wrong. Also, I would need to know how to ask about food information as I have some dietary restrictions (medical reasons)
>>2825973It's becoming more and more obvious that you probably shouldn't travel anywhere.
>>2826009That is a shame, then. Oh well, I hardly leave my town, so I guess that it makes sense to suggest this.
>>2825503>Would doing this void my security clearance?Absolutely, utterly, and entirely void your clearances. You would *never* hold a clearance. Do not let anyone tell you otherwise.>Will police (or the IRGC) bother me?Only in that they’ve convinced you there is a girl who likes you in Iran that you need the approval of.
>>2825503You sound almost exactly like me anon. I'm 24, only listen to classical (some 1910's pop and folk music is fine as well), watch Operas, read the Western Canon, and dress as nice as I can without being a faggot or LARPer. Where we differ though is I can like mainstream modern bullshit, and I'm not celibate, and I don't live in some meme that "le western women are degenerate!!". That's fucking retarded. Pop and rap can be fun if you let loose and just think about the enjoyment of others. I don't listen to Sabrina Carpenter because her musical notations and intuition is as great as Guillaume DuFay, but because her simple minded bullshit is fun in groups and at parties. Also, I can get any woman I want any time I want. I'm not a hyperchad, and no I don't literally mean I can go up to a married woman and fuck her on the spot. What I mean is that any woman is on the table, and I have absolutely zero doubt that given enough time and interest on both sides it will happen if I want. You people that talk about needing pussy don't get it because that's what preoccupies your faggot minds. Women smell desperation, don't give them the pleasure of using you for validation. Also, "western women" are the best thing the world has to offer. Some gookfaced bitch is going to show you her true colors eventually. An African woman is just lol. Latinas are cringe, and are snappy and annoying and loud as fuck. Eastern Euros are hyper materialistic, and Indians/Arabs are generally disgusting or have terrible manners. Western women are tall, rich (compared to the others), and can actually relate to you culturally and ethnically. You cucks go to the most depraved places and bars and shit and say "WOE IS THE WORLD.... FOR IN THIS BAR, I HAVENT FOUND A PURE WOMAN!". Go to a traditionalist church or some shit you absolute morons. You'll find most women don't truly have opinions of their own, and need to be given their opinions by society, or a man in their life they respect.
>>2826757I'll add lastly, that you shouldn't go to Iran. You should focus on having fun in hostels in Europe and SEA (women will follow if you aren't desperate). If this woman actually means something to you though, then simply meet in some third country like others have said. There are so many women in this world anon, and just like most men, most aren't shit. Don't waste your youth and time with exalted shit as so many losers do. Your time is better spent praying, reading, or watching Carmen.
>>2825503>>2825503Ive had a TS SCI for the last 8 year. You cannot go to Iran if you want a clearance. No ifs and or buts about it. I couldnt even go to Canada without a moutain of paperwork. (Technically you can go to canada specifically without prior notice and can do the paperwork when you get back). You cannot ever mention you met some middle eastern girl online and traveled to meet her. I knew someone who lost their clearance for marrying a saudi girl. Also retarded time to go to Iran, as Israel might demand zion don to bomb iran at any moment again. Not to mention kikes regularly assassinate targets in iran with no regard to collateral damage. Now add on top the fact there is a small yet very realistic chance the irgc tosses you in prison just for having an american passport
They've tightened the screws for travelers considerably in Iran this year. All foreigners now, not just Americans, have to be escorted to be a government guide and follow a strict itinerary. You will not be allowed to interact with Iranian normies at all, probably even the service workers you encounter will be some kind of IRGC mple monitoring everything you do
You missed the boat. I’ve been to Iran several times. Wife’s family over there. We’ve had to cancel our next trip. Because of the kike spies it’s now North Korea tier for those of us with a western passport. Hopefully it’s only short term but we’ll see. Sorry, it’s a great country
>>2827178Now for a solution - if you’re dead serious, meet her in Armenia or Turkey. Iranians get 90 days (or at least they did before the June war, I’d check if that’s changed). Just meet her there. If she doesn’t agree, she was never serious herself and you dodged a bullet. Good luck.
I am surprised that this thread is still up.>>2826757>go to a traditionalist churchI am Orthodox and go to a church, mass is 70% dudes and all of the girls who are there are married or actual children. I do not necessarily think Western women are degenerate, it is just that Western women are not interested because I cannot carry myself in a conversation. If anything, it is on me, so it was a relief that I found someone to talk to.>women don't truly have opinions of their ownI would not be so sure of that, but I would not be so certain in asserting a counterpoint either. (This is known as being insufferable and, again, is on me).Thank you to everyone who has responded. Probably the wrong board to ask this question (not sure whether /sci/ or /adv/ would be the right place), but what about NASA contractors? My neighbor is from Pakistan and he works at one. I could probably ask him about it. I am fairly open to jobs (you have to be these days), so this is why I brought up looking for a security clearance in the first place as at least half of the jobs in my field require a security clearance. For now, I will be focusing on commercial space as they are rapidly expanding and it is relatively easy to get into one and many do not require a security clearance.
>>2826757Remember that you’re only 24 years old. Try not to embarrass yourself too much out there. High chance someone like you looks back with unbearable levels of cringe.
they'll arrest you and throw you in prison indefinitely without chargeit keeps happening to westerners who go there and mongs keep going
>>2825554>I probably will keep it hush hushKiss your clearance goodbye, anon.
>>2827243Going to Iran at all is just retarded. Anons have already told you to meet her in another country
>>2827505Yes, that is the plan now. I have see questions about Armenia because of the recent war there. Georgia or Turkey would be fine, though. I will think of what I wish to ask later.
>>2827515Armenia’s fine. Georgia is a big risk. They turn back a lot of Iranians arbitrarily, even though online sources say they get visas on arrival. Armenia and Turkey are your best bet if you want somewhere affordable and easy for her to get to. Emirates might also be an option but you’re young and it’ll be way less affordable
>>2825503You should just meet her in a third country like Turkey. Iran is (justifiably) pretty pissed off at the U.S. right now and you could end up being jailed on false charges.t. Iranian-American dual citizen who can't go visit because everyone in my family gets thrown in jail every time we go there to see our relatives
>>2827952>>2828135So between Turkey and Armenia, which one would be preferable?
>>2825512Those are clones of F-5’s. Early 60s technology.
>>2828253Actually there are some slight differences, of which are FOD grates similar to the ones found on a Mig-29, but no actual covers (they are separate and are presumably hand fitted). They also claim to have "4th gen avionics". Frankly, I will believe when I see it, but if it is true (which let's face it, is 50-50 at best), then it is probably a HUD and maybe a few instruments used in stuff like Mig-29s. The HUD might be larger in the pic (compared to picrel), which would be indicative of a new HUD, but this is purely speculation.TL;DR: F-5 based and not a F-20 in terms of capability by any stretch of the imagination, but there are some new, if minute, features.
>>2828219Turkey is easy to get to as an American and Iranian. Lots to do and fits any budget.
>>2828334This. Only issue is that the best part of Turkey (Riviera) isn't close to Iran. Turkey is way better than Armenia, but it's good to have a fallback option if Turkey doesn't work out.
>>2825503you're so retarded
>>2828334>>2828449Well, chances are that we would just fly into Istanbul and meet up there. Is the new airport good?>>2828477No shit, my field is literally just punching numbers or drawing shit on a computer. A monkey could do it, really.
>>2825510This is my new fetish… my only fetish, now. I cannot recall any previous fetish.
>>2825503This is a LARP
>>2830301It is not, is there any way that I can get you to believe me?
you're such a fucking loseryou should not be trying to date a 19-20 year old iranian woman
>>2830601Then what should I be dating? Been rejected enough in real life, even friends of family rejected me in two countries (US and UK). Closest I ever got before her was friend-zoned in an on-line relationship by a Romanian (she is cool, but having her relationship struggles). Not that you need to know any of this, but I eat well and exercise, I am just a bit of an asshole and nothing has ever really fixed it. So yeah yeah the "you are such a heckin loserino" bullshit is kind of true, but it is who I am and I need someone who accepts me for that.
>The only girl in the world willing to date me, a guy in an advance science field, lives in Iran and I have to travel thereAtleast the Chinese honeypots bother to get the girls to enroll in school. If you're so much of a loser in the US why would someone in Iran want you?
>>2831372Simple: who was the citizenship of a Western country?Sounds pathetic, but that is my greatest asset, since I am not smart and it is obvious that I will only ever be trusted with lower level roles and lower pay anyway (which is still good money, so if it keeps the lights on and gets me fed and watered, then I am satisfied). Does not help that I am generally abrasive (not condescending like the other anons said) and have a short temper for that matter either.>Why don't you get better?I went to anger management classes for 12 years and it fixed nothing.
>>2831475she's just not that into youmove on
>>2831505That settles it then. Still, my US citizenship is my greatest asset right now./thread
>>2831508if you say so
>>2831509Just said, that we could be friends but I am concerned about finding a job and we could reconsider being bf/gf a little later.
