Thoughts on Belize in December? And just Belize in general
>>2826403Used to be a popular expat destination, particularly among overlanders, but lately it's become very expensive and also very insecure. Same can be said for Costa Rica - the country suffers from one of the highest violent robbery rates in the world.
>>2826410I mean, by this logic then you shouldnt travel anywere that is not a developed first world country then.Costa Rica is not that bad, i dont know about belize tho
Belize respond :DDD
>>2826412No retard it's just a price/value calculation. You look at what you are actually getting for what you are paying realize it's a scam and a shitty dangerous one at that, then pick somewhere else.
Belize has pristine nature and coral reefs. Otherwise, it is less interesting than all its neighbors. The only pleasant towns in the country are San Ignacio, which is essentially a Guatemalan city, and Hopkins, where alcoholic blacks will sell you 7/10 seafood for cheap.Costa rica has better rainforests, but much worse snorkeling. If you want a good balance of aquatic adventures and rainforest hikes, Belize is good.
>>2826403Pretty cool if you enjoy getting robbed at gun point
