Alright, so I'll be taking a trip next year from the US to Canada, and I want to bring my cigarettes with me. However the issue is that at the time I'll be 19, which is legal in Canada but not the US.

So what I'm asking is if it's possible and viable to just not tell customs about my cigarettes, put them in some hidden spot in one of my bags, and hope they don't find them?
I'll be traveling with family (not very close family) and really don't want to get in trouble with customs.
Thanks boys!

just dont say anything. assuming you are not in Canada long they wont even ask. I cross the border all the time and have no issues. I brought 15 packs of camels from Japan, they are only 4 bucks a pack. Just dont be a retard and nobody will say anything.

today I fucking learned that it's 21 to purchase cigarettes now lmao I'm so old I didn't even notice.
Also yeah OP if you're going by plane as long as you don't have suspicious chemicals in your bag that show up on xray/schedule 1 drugs that a dog can sniff out, they do not give a shit.

there are laws re: possession so if you want the legal answer: No, do not take the fucking cigarettes.

It's probably entirely possible but if they do happen to ask for ID you might get legally raped and possibly barred from further entry. It's probably not worth it just for your nicotine addiction

Drug addicts should not travel if they cannot live without their drugs for the small amount of time it takes to cross a border.

The change happened quite recently.
Soon the age of consent will be 21 as well, kek

How good are camels? compared to your vanilla Marlboro red.

always easier to smuggle goods on your way INTO a country as opposed to returning home.
Canadians get very antsy and faggy expecting any young man to be smuggling firearms or drugs from america.

Your post is a bit confusing - if you live in Canada and are entering America for a trip, your open pack of cigarettes is fine. You're literally travelling with family so they can't even prove it's yours idiot.
I've brought a bunch of thigns across the border and even when my car was searched they didn't say anything about it, so the more i think about it the more you're some anxious overthinker

TLDR you'll be absolutely fine don't listen to basement dwellers who have never crossed a land border in their life

Richer and smoother.
