Things to do in Ho Chi Minh? Already did most of the tourist stuff but doing the chi chi tunnels tomorrow. Any other ideas? Any advice for how to connect better with locals? Seems like the language barrier is pretty strong in Vietnam.
depends on how long you're staying. you didn't do anything for the full moon festival thing?if you have an IDP and you're not american, i'd recommend motorbike trip to a northern city (cat tien, dalat, mui ne beach, maybe nha trang). random stuff can happen along the way. can be fun lol
>>2830521>and you're not americanWhy not if you're american? I lived there and nobody gave a shit about the war
>>2830545not talking about the war. american IDP isn't technically valid, cop will fine you or confiscate bike.but they probably won't stop you, and just want bribe. depends if OP wants to chance it or not. worth it though
>>2830545You'll be fine. I rented out a bike in Da Nang for several days and drove to Hoi An and Hue. Don't give them a reason to pull you over and wear your helmet.
