whats your favourite disney coaster? mine is expedition Everest
>>2830793Big Thunder ez, Everest is a good one but I thought it was weird how there was an unthemed bit of track.
>>2830809i like big thunder its just too slow for me to take it over everest. i also prefer the queue for everest but big thunders queue is pretty fun aswell.
>>2830809what unthemed bit of track?
Reposting>Back when Intimidator 305 opened, a couple of enthusiasts started telling people they "greyed out" during parts of the ride. Then more people started saying "Uh yeah... I totally greyed out too!" and it became something to boast about. Now you have thoosies saying they're greying out on much milder rides, as if it's something to brag about or even real.>The same thing happened with "the B&M rattle." It caught like wildfire. Some soft fuck thoosies started claiming new B&Ms vibrated more than the old ones and the fable grew from there. So now they're all claiming that new B&Ms aren't good because they're headbangers. It's just midwits clamoring for attention.
>>2830827The intro before the lift
They fixed the Hadrosaur on river adventure and now he emerges much taller from the water. The baby stego is also back and has a repainted body and brand new servos allowing his head to move a lot cleaner. Not as sure we're getting a total overhaul when they close it for 10 months now.
>>2830832how is that unthemed?
>>2830835Not him but it's just a grassy area where you go around a rock.

>>2830862>>2830858>>2830836>>2830835>>2830832>>2830827Ok I owe Everestbros an apology. I watched a POV trying to find the section I was thinking of but I don't see it. I must be schizo. Yeah there are parts at first where youre just in the woods but I had a mental image of being 6-10 feet off the grass and seeing the support pylons underneath and thinking it looked cheap but that must not have even happened. This was only a couple months ago.
Why is Universal packed rn? I thought the fall was offseason when it wasn't close to the holidays?
>>2830865Fall break is more of a thing now than it used to be. October is a busy month at theme parks now.
I have accepted that I will never do Hagrid's more than once a day ever again, if at all. Express is the worst thing that has ever happened to theme parks.

Disney raising ticket prices across the board starting today>Pass prices increasing by $80>Parking is now $35>1 day prices increasing to over $200 during peak season 2026Wew lad. I cant name a single thing they've addd in the past year that could justify this increase. There's no ride or feature that has added an additional $100 of value.https://variety.com/2025/biz/news/disney-theme-parks-price-increase-disneyworld-disneyland-1236543119/
>>2830868I posted this a few months ago, but a girl in my group got 10 free express passes because a bitchy black clerk made her cry AND my brother had his baby boy, so I got to ride Hagrid’s back to back to back with no wait because child swap + express.
>>2830863Not that guy but there are three possibilities:1. They are using cheaper steel2. They are accepting more generous tolerances for their steel3. For no reason whatsoever, thoosies turned on a company that had been beloved for making extremely smooth roller coasters for over 30 years and Iron Menace is just as smooth as any other B&M dive (least likely)

I've a sneaking suspicion it's going to be shorter than any Splash Mountain based on the blueprints though.>>2830883They're also removing early entry for California resort guests and replacing it with some lightning lane passes instead. Super nintendo world was almost perfectly copypasted from tokyo to ebin universe and it's fucking stupid because the land was designed for a completely different park. Yoshi is short and low capacity because they don't have enough space in tokyo, but even worse is no covering for a ride that goes outside in a state where for most of the year it's either blisteringly hot or raining. This is compounded by the park already having too many rides that go down during bad weather, how the fuck did nobody notice this? The DK coaster being too low capacity is also a big oversight. Probably wasn't a huge concern being put into an already existing park that has plenty of capacity, but that doesn't work when you're putting it into a freshly built park that's struggling to keep wait times down because it hasn't had years of expansion to add capacity. Honestly the whole land in general feels too crowded.
>>2830924Based. Excited for you

>>2830865You're joking, right? Fall has been extremely packed for years now. Weather is cooler, the magical autumn holiday feeling is in the air, and people just pull the kids out of school.
>>2830952Not really. Why has nobody died in all the other rides? Something was wrong with starship cruisers. Its just like that old coaster game. Design it so everyone can ride.
>>2830919Nobody cares about parks that aren't good. We want high standards. Disney, Universal, Busch Gardens, SeaWorld.
>>2830924Its an excellent time to visit the Japan parks. They just put in an Iron Lady Conservative who hopefully turns everyone there into a Conservative. If you think things are already well run, its going to be even better.
>>2831094September after Labour Day and the two weeks after New Years are the few sweetspots left.I miss early to mid November when the xmas stuff had just gone up and it was quiet and pleasantly warm (most of the time). Used to be a maximum comfy time to visit. That time got found out and stopped being quiet and just went to "not packed" instead.
>>2831094Right but "fall" used to mean November. You'd get the crowds more towards the end of October but early October and all of September used to be pretty mild. The parks were loaded with Brits and Brazilians, not Americans so it wasnt people pulling kids out of school. They've managed to remove one of their off-seasons by mass importing foreigners that had the time off. >>2831119I would say January-March is the ideal time, but you just gotta monitor spring breaks and avoid that 2 week window and cross your fingers that you don't choose the day that the park is flooded with Brazilian high school tour groups.
the muppets retheme of rock 'n' rollercoaster is gonna be sick and im glad to see aerosmith gone
>>2831015I haven't failed tho

>>2831097>Busch Gardens>Sea World>high standardsAnon please
>>2831123You have
>>2831099>>2831130It's mostly the astronomical wait times I'm worried about, but I made sure to get 2 days in DisneySea so I make sure I can experience that park without worrying about rushing, that's priority for me (even if two of the biggest rides are closed when I'm there). Disneyland has lots of copies so I don't mind if I can't ride Pirates or the Fantasyland dark rides, I'll focus on the stuff I haven't seen before (also Splash Mountain since I haven't been able to go to the US parks yet before it kicked the bucket. I'll have to imagine the music in english kek). For USJ I'm mainly there for Nintendo but Jaws is also high priority, as is all the Japan-exclusive stuff (Hollywood Dream apparently has a Chainsaw Man crossover currently, that'll be fun). This one will be rough since I'm assuming the park will be slammed for Halloween Horror Nights, but it'll be cool to experience.
>>2831121My only disappointment is that it's just a retheme of a mid coaster. The Muppets IP deserves a massive dark ride that parodies POTC and Haunted Mansion with hundreds of muppet animatronics. Or a 1:1 recreation of the great movie ride with muppets playing all the acting roles. The opportunity was there for an all-time banger so regardless of how good the retheme ends up being I'm still mad at the missed opportunity.
>>2831121>the muppets retheme of rock 'n' rollercoaster is gonna be sick>>2831139>The Muppets IP deserves a massive dark ride that parodies POTC and Haunted Mansion with hundreds of muppet animatronics. >Or a 1:1 recreation of the great movie ride with muppets playing all the acting roles.
>>2831142Hood certified faggot post. Imagine trying to lord over others in a theme park thread on an anime forum full of failed school shooters.
>>2831137Leave some time for their Snow White ride, it's still the older more scary version
>>2830793Space Mountain because it's peak comfy Disney and I think the coaster ride itself is criminally underrated>not too intense for kids/families>still more intense than you'd expect>ambiance and queue are S++ tier>gives that feeling of "danger" because it's a vintage coaster in the dark >it's peak Disneycore And thems the facts
>>2830791Which theme park hosts the best Halloween?
>>2831137It's crazy how everyone is always whining about how Japan is being overtaken by boomers and no one is having babies the the parks are jam packed filled to the gills and the lines are two hour waits.
>>2831120Sir, forums like this very one have ruined ever being able to go at a "good time" forever. The only thing you can do is pay the extra thousand for the After Party specials if you want short wait lines.
>>2831119The only day guaranteed to have low wait times is Sept 11 because of Muzzies.
HHN is so big that if they added a whole other event to Islands with 10 additional houses both would still sell out with 2 hour queues. Feels like the last 2 years it's gone parabolic in popularity.
>>2831186Hands down Busch Gardens has won USA Today National awards for the best Halloween. Part of it is the USF pipeline.
>>2830793>whats your favourite disney coaster?None of them. How about a real rollercoaster instead
>>2830876People like this ruin it for everyone else
>>2831195I've done both and HHN is objectively better. Way bigger budget houses, better costumes, better special effects. HOS is good, but compared to what it was 10 years ago it's on the decline. It used to feature 7-8 houses with a few being new each year, but now it's 5 houses and only 1 is new. It's good value for your money though because you also get access to the coasters after dark and the line up is world class. HHN is maybe $40 more expensive but the quality difference more than makes up for it. BGT has the better ride offerings, but HHN is the king of the theme park halloween events. Cant really be challenged for the crown either because no other location is as perfectly set up for it with the sound stages already existing on property.
>>2831136No, how does it feel to be wrong and retarded? How would you feel if you skipped breakfast this morning?

>>2831137Lines weren't too horrid when I went last year, but I don't know if that's changed. For DisneySea, you can skip Soarin' and Midway Mania to avoid the two longest lines in the park (Frozen may be busier now, not sure) since they are clones. Single Rider for Indy is also incredible there. In Disneyland, make sure to utilize their free FastPass. I rope-dropped Monsters Inc., got a FastPass for Pooh, and then another FastPass for the Haunted Mansion after that. Made my one day at Land super easy. Rode basically everything and only waited a significant amount for Beauty and the Beast.>>2831188The population issue is mostly prevelant in smaller towns and cities. Tokyo is still loaded as younger people are moving there.

>>2831208When did you go last year? We're going in the first week of november.I haven't been to the US parks so I haven't done either Soarin' or Midway Mania. I'm ok with skipping the latter, but I think my sister will want to do it so I might end up stuck in there anyways. We'll see how things shake out, these two are lower priority in general.>Single Rider for Indy is also incredible thereBoy that would be great if the ride wasn't closed for refurbishments. Same for Journey to the Center of the Earth. The only real bummers of what will otherwise be a great time.>>2831217Indy in Paris is honestly pretty fun, I like it. Not worth the wait it usually gets tho, horrible capacity.
>>2831200>the line up is world classIt’s Iron Gwazi, B&M slop, and one of Intamin’s rare launch coaster misses.

>>2831142Fucking this. Aerosmith is past their peak popularity (they did the super bowl in 2001) but anyone defending replacing them with children’s puppets needs to be shot.
>>2831135>>2831097For me the minimum to say a park has “standards” is whether the umbrellas have advertisements for other companies on them. Any park that puts a Coca Cola logo on their umbrellas is run by greedy jews who are far more interested in shekels than atmosphere or theming. >Disney>Universal>Busch>Sea World>Holiday World>Knoebels>KennywoodStandards.>Six Flags>Cedar FairNo standards.

>>2831287>Enjoy beloved rides getting the axeLike Kingda Ka you mean? I’m not poor so I go to parks with and without standards. I’m the guy who’s about to drop $1000 on the Six Flags all parks fast lane for 2026. That doesn’t mean I think Six Flags has any standards.
>>2831293>I wish it was legal to shoot thoosies to death.BASED BEYOND BELIEF
>>2831304>I'm not poorYou're bragging about spending $1000 though
>>2831293>They were funFTFY. B&M slop was once fun, in another century. Kind of like hoop rolling. Look how much fun these kids are having. Do you think you could get kids today to enjoy hoop rolling this much? Of course not. They’ve seen so much better. B&M slop like Montu is the roller coaster version of hoop rolling. Montu is a ghost town these days while people are waiting an hour for Cheetah and Iron Gwazi. They could be marathoning Montu in the time it takes them to ride Cobra’s Curse once, but they won’t, because Montu is boring in 2025.
>>2831250Calling Montu B&M slop should be punishable by deathA lot of Magic Mountain is deserving of that term though. Riddler, Batman, and Scream all feel pretty much the same
>>2831307An example was necessary. Anon I replied to seemed to have no concept of how someone could enjoy chains with standards like Universal and chains with no standards like Cedar Fair.
>2831311>another boomer mad the kids aren’t out rolling hoops anymore
>>2831309>B&M slopThere has never been a single genuine thought in your brain and all of your opinions are the byproduct of your mental retardation and unmitigated access to other dipshits like yourself on social media. The reason Montu has a lower line than Cheetah Hunt and Iron gwazi is because it's old and the other two are a family coaster and brand new coaster respectively. It's not because it's "slop" or whatever dumb fucking phrase people are using on social media now cause they too don't have original opinions. It's not because it's "boring", it's because it's been standing there for the last 20 years and is no longer a novel experience if you've been attending the park during that time and have ridden it hundreds of times before. Every coaster has its day. Montu used to be the hot new thing and now it's Iron Gwazi. They will one day build something new and Iron Gwazi will sit there with a slightly emptier queue and at no point did it become "slop". The only slop is the misused instrument between your ears. Faggot.

>>2831351>if it's not safe for cripples with glass bones and paper skin to ride then it's not safe for anyone to rideThis is fucking retarded. There are warning signs for a reason you stupid bitch, you cannot change the laws of physics, if your atrophied body can't handle the forces of the ride then you're going to snap in half and there's nothing that can be done about that which is why they tell you to not ride. Every time some disney retard says something stupid about coasters because they've never been on anything more intense than space mountain it makes me hate thoosies a little less.
>>2831316>old rides can't have linesYou're so fucking retarded it's unreal. Old rides get lines all the time. The longest line at Six Flags Over Georgia last Saturday was for a coaster built during the fucking Carter administration. Montu has no line because no one wants to ride it anymore. And you explain why in your own post:>it's because it's been standing there for the last 20 years and is no longer a novel experienceLiterally admitting it had nothing to offer but novelty which has long since worn off. It's shit. It was hot new shit in the 90s but it's neither new nor hot today. It's just shit.
>>2831253>>2831142You're literally going to a theme park based around a company making children's and family friendly entertainment. You don't get to complain that there are family friendly characters there, because you know they're there when you buy the ticket.

>>2831316>>2831364By the way I didn’t even realize Cheetah Hunt was a family coaster. I only rode it once last year and I wondered at the time why it was so underwhelming. That makes the situation at BGT even more grim than I thought.Of their 9 coasters,>3 family coasters (not that family coasters can’t be good but none of them are exactly Hagrid’s or Cosmic Rewind)>1 kiddie coaster>3 B&M copy pastes (granted Kumba was the ride that was copied)>1 Premier copy paste>Iron Gwazi (has been running only one train for months now even though they own three)Yeah that park sucks ass. Which is weird because Williamsburg is pretty great right now. It’s actually annoying that Iron Gwazi exists because now I have reason to return to BGT.

I don't think I ever saw them dip below 90 minutes. Maybe Fantasy Springs will draw some attention away. At least with two days you should still be able to do everything, you'll just be waiting.
Excuse my wigger posting but rapper Babytron just posted a music video that filmed in harry potter land at Universals https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AIbYHol-ago
I just read that a “gwazi” (supposedly a creature with a tiger’s body and a lion’s head from African mythology) was invented by Busch Gardens themselves. I looked it up to confirm, and I can’t find a single mention of it outside of Busch Gardens, a video game and a band (both made after the ride). Kind of shitty they made an African theme park and had to invent their own myths anyway.

I think Maxx Force might be a 10. A short 10, but a 10.
I’m also still not sure if It’s Phantom’s Revenge is a 9.5 or 10. That coaster is fun as fuck.
>>2831548>>2831656Kumba isn't a real word eitherWho cares
>>2831665Just seems awfully chud of them to put all sorts of real European folklore in Williamsburg and not only put no African folklore in Tampa but also make up a bunch of shit and say it was from Africa.>Kumba isn't a real word eitherRoar is kuboka in Kikongo and Kungana in Kongo. Close but you’re right.
Bros, visiting tampa/orlando area with my parents for a few days in Nov. Won't have time to do Disney probably, it's 4 days. Want to see all of Universal, I think we can do that in 2 days? Redpill me on busch gardens tampa. I'm not much of a coaster guy but I will do them if they're among the best around. My experience with coasters is all west coast, six flags MM and Discovery Kingdom. How's the comfort on the busch coasters? How's the theming for the padk? Also anything else we should do while we're there?Thinking one day in Tampa/St. Pete's to see beaches/riverwalk/whatever else, possibly also busch.
>>2830924Happy for you anon. Disneysea and tokyo disney are my dream theme parks>>2831796Also another consideration, should I try to do some of Disneyworld even though we definitely won't be able to see it all? I haven't visited since 2010 or earlier but it seems like it's mostly gotten worse.
>>2831796Unless you have fast passes Universal is 3 day affair at least. I would be careful with Busch Gardens. They have been notoriously bad this year with uptime. Today 3 coasters and a bunch of other rides are closed. Their best ride is Iron Gwazi and they’re only running one train on it. Other than that they have your usual B&Ms - an invert, a sit down, and a dive - plus two good family coasters and one of those shuttle launch rides everyone has now. The theming is almost completely animals. The place is a zoo. If that appeals to you you’ll like the theming. For Disney, it depends on how interested you are in the rides you can’t get in California. The best of those are Cosmic Rewind and Everest at Epcot and Animal Kingdom. The best Florida beaches are indeed on the Tampa side.
>Close that coaster NOW!
>>2831809We'll probably spring for the fast passes for Universal. I've actually done Disneyworld before, several times the most recent being 2010 and haven't done disneyland in a very long time, not since I was like 5 years old. I know world has changed a lot but I don't care about the more recent IPs as much (Star Wars, Marvel). Looking at busch, I think my only major interest would be Gwazi so I'll keep that in mind.
>>2831814You could do Universal in 2 days then but I’d still take 3 myself. Despite Disney’s lame use of IPs, the rides themselves are very good. Even Star Wars sequel haters tend to like Rise of the Resistance and Cosmic Rewind is pretty universally liked. I’m not sure the Tron film has any fans at all but the ride is good. You could get a park hopper and knock out the rides that have been built since 2010 in a day.Another thing you might do is get the Seaworld Orlando park hopper, which includes Busch Gardens, and do a half day at each of those.
Is Silver Dollar City really worth it? And by worth it I mean to go far out of my way to go this Saturday and Sunday, which I'm sure will be very crowded? (I'll get their fast pass for Saturday of course)

>>2831796BG is for teens and young adults. High energy park. Very beautiful park as far as they take full advantage of the sun and sky when figuring out landscaping. Lots of beautiful USF girls. Slight ghetto problems. Mostly coasters, hardly any theming. Get the $20 cup. It's a good cup. And lasts forever. Plus every 12 minutes you can get a free refill.
>>2830791Do the ice show at Busch. The main ice princess girl is incredible
>>2831810People like this ruin fun for absolutely everyone. If they keep running amuck and getting awarded for it, all our fun places will get shut down. Liberals already destroyed the aquarium industry. That said I do think cruisers should be shut down and fixed so that retards can ride it too. Not create a million warning signs ect
>>2831957Dollywood is the best non Disney/Universal park in the country
>>2831957Can't speak to Knott's, but Dollywood is better than Hershey in terms of theming, staff, entertainment, food, and location. Hershey is better if you're looking purely for coasters or would rather have the option to hit another park than hike in the Smokies.
I went back to Universal for the first time since 98 and I really wasn't impressed. Minions and even Jimmy Fallon were decent motion rides. Simpsons on the other hand seemed bad. The screen looked very dull in color and brightness. The worst part is I could not see the lower half of the screen, probably based on the ride vehicle being on the top floor. Transformers was a probably the best ride for me. ET really shows its age but is still good. MIB was fun, especially when the ride suddenly spins. Fast and Furious was pretty bad. It's short and I don't think the ride vehicle was originally meant to view fast paced action. The Bourne Stuntacular show probably had the most impressive mix of screen visuals and sets pieces that blow away a lot of the screen rides. The Horror Make-Up Show was pretty funny. I was not able to ride Mummy or Gringotts due to the long wait times. I had fun, but I'm not sure if I want to go back any time soon. But I'll probably make plans for IoA and Epic.
>>2831997You missed two of the best in Gringotts and Mummy. But yeah it’s mostly screenworld. Islands is far better.
>>2831997You should have asked this general before you went because I'd have told you to do the mummy first. It's the best ride there

>>2832022It is one of the best. In screenworld.
>>2832108>>2832022In fact it’s funny that between Forbidden Journey and Gringotts, Gringotts is far more screen-dependent. Almost as if they wanted it to fit right into the park it was in.
Why do we hate Poseidon Adventures?
>>2832156the movie about the ship?
>>2832166the channel
>>2832109What's even funnier is riding Battle at the Ministry with the understanding that the ride originally was being developed for Studios to replace the Fear Factor stage. It was going to be yet another screen slopper before they transplanted Fantastic Beasts into it which is the only reason there's a Erumpent animatronic.
In a weird co-incidence given it was being talked about here (and the Stardust Racers incident)Vekoma have announce a new special seat designed for disabled guests that they get into, and it's wheeled onto/attached to the train when they're ready. Keeps throughput up and lets them design seats for specific levels/types of disability.
>>2832218You’re shitting me. I’m not gonna fully appreciate Battle at the Ministry because I haven’t watched Fantastic Beasts?
>>2832234That sounds like it would stop the line for a very long time.
>>2832238Several trains can go in whilst they get in and get secured. Once they're secured, you wheel up the seat to the train where the operator pushes it into a slot until it clicks secure, this will serve as a failsafe to secure method and lines the seat up so a bunch of automated clips secure it in a more vibration free and reliable way.Releasing the seat and clipping in a new one probably won't take much/any longer than the normal process of someone climbing in, lowering the harness/bar, doing the seatbelt then getting it all visibly checked.
>>2832236I havent seen Fantastic Beasts either and judging by its box office performance, not many people have. It's completely comprehensible without seeing the FB films, it's just weird. The whole land is weird. Basically, the Ministry of Magic queue and ride were originally slated to be built at Studios adjacent to Diagon Alley where the FF stage now sits. Epic Universe gets approved internally and they want to expand Potter there. Around the same time, the FB movies are being developed by Warner Bros and the expectation is they will do well because they are Harry Potter. The first one does ok, and the later two just totally bomb. By the point that the franchise is failing, Universal has already pumped millions into design, architecture, and R&D for Wizarding Paris so it pretty much has to get built. However, as a compromise, they take the Ministry of Magic ride they were already designing for Studios and transplant it into Epic, completely fucking the timeline and IP the land is based on. The land is set in 1926 and the ride is set in 1991 with zero explanation at all as for how this is possible. The ministry of magic is also located in London which is explained by it being accessed via Metro Floo. The original ride that was supposed to accompany this area would have been located in the French ministry of magic (the entrance to it was built but nothing else), and it would have been the long-rumored broomstick VR attraction set in the Fantastic Beasts world. It's just weird. Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade are both overtly magical, being lands in the books that wizards can occupy openly and do magic without having to hide it from muggles. The Paris land is not this way and honestly if you didnt know it was Harry Potter, nothing about it really says "magic". It's just a very realistic romanticized version of paris with monsters in the windows if you look super close. It's universal's galaxy's edge.
HOWL O SCREAM IS OPEN. I REPEAT HOWL O SCREAM IS OPEN!!!!

Hey, to the Anon who was wondering about the Monsters. I just got off my shift. I was roaming past darkmoor and saw them! Theyre not set up rn but the whole gang is here. Frankenstein's Monster, Wolfman and the Gill-man outside Darkmoor diner. I assume somebody will take aerials later but theyre there.
>>2832284wtf how did you get this picture of me
>>2832365That was me. Thanks for the confirmation. I figure they're likeliest to end up in Celestial as they don't match the aesthetic of Darkmoor at all, or be rolled out for seasonal events once the event space is done. Now I just need to find out what the hell that small gazebo is for outside darkmoor's secondary exit and all the mysteries are solved.
>>2832367Theyre back of house outside employee dining so it might be there or celestial desu

>>2832369If it's for employee dining I'm actually gonna be upset. Those belong to everyone and should be on display for the guests. Most of the people who work at Darkmoor weren't even alive when the Monster Cafe was built

>>2830975I keep going back and forth over this issue. I don't want to placate people who will be emboldened by this to cause trouble for amusement parks, but I do think they should shut down that ride and fix it. That said, I wonder if Disney planted the panic over this via the media. They fed a literal toddler as a snack to a gator and the media was quick to cover and defend for Disney.
>>2832277Looks amazing. USA Today said its the top park for Halloween.
>>2830791https://youtu.be/r1i3oXMIPA8?si=SM92DcRyqxZ_g1nZThis is so dang cozy
>>2830791Did that anon go to DisneySea yet? I've got questions. It looks so beautiful on the videos and clean. It also keeps the charming stuff and hasn't added the DEI Woke of some newer things. Disney World is making such bad decisions throwing out the charming early 1900s Americana.
>>2830791One issue I have with DidneySea is that it looks incredibly crowded. I can't stand crowds. The people that go look so cute though. The girls are fashionable and young and fun looking. Some men have no problem wearing business suits. Its very romantic.

>>2832429I've been thrice and it's kinda overrated. It's a great first impression but once you're past that and it becomes just a park, you see the cracks and where they made mistakes. Islands and Studios are imo the better offering if you do the park hopper cause the sheer number of rides and variety are hard to beat. Those parks have also been optimized and fleshed out over 35 years and they feel more complete.DK, COTWW, Mario Kart, Yoshi, Constellation carousel are all gimmick rides that have waits that are out of balance with the ride duration/qualityMinistry is not that good outside of 3 pretty impressive physical set scenes, but those are outnumbered by a ton of screen portions. Monsters is the star of the show and goes toe to toe with Jurassic World and Rise of the Resistance. It's the blueprint for future attractions at universal hopefully.Hiccups is imo the most underrated ride there, but it's mogged by Hagrids albeit with a much smaller wait time. Needs an expansion real bad, but people saying it's better than DisneySea are crazy. It's on a trajectory to one day be as good, but DisneySea is still the king and I'm the biggest universal fan on this board saying this.
>>2831956>>2832417>>2832422>>2832429>>2832431Buy an ad
>>2832435I think going to epic during previews when capacity was limited gave me lopsided view of the park, everything i've been seeing is that they didn't prioritize capacity hard enough and waiting an hour for a c-ticket feels like shit. I do agree that ministry was a little underwhelming, it feels like a relic from when they were obsessed with screens so you have an attraction where the queue is significantly better than the actual ride.
>>2832243That makes sense then.
>>2832248Sounds gay. USF would have been perfect placement for it, especially since Diagon Alley needed another ride and the Ministry is also in London. And then you could do all the Harry Potter rides without leaving USF/IOA.
>>2832280I have before. It took me and my brother two days. We hadn’t been before though so we didn’t know the skips.
Disneyland Paris Ratatouille is getting a lengthy refurb and upgrade. Going 2D only, getting better quality videos, snazzing up the queue line (guessing the boring corridors bit and possibly altering the cattle pen). It's also getting some other mystery upgrades to effects and the setting. I think its biggest weaknesses (ride length and being able to see the floor ruining the immersion) can't be fixed but it'll be interesting to see what changes are done.
This is a pretty cool idea
>>2832423Assuming you're talking about me kek. I'll be there the first week of November. I'll report back with my findings. We decided we're also gonna check out Hirakata Park which is a small local park in Osaka. Might be fun, even if it mostly looks like off-the-shelf rides.
>>2832498Have you had a chance to ride any of those really weird, long coasters with walkways the entire length? Gotta love how those stupid regulations crippled their theme parks for decades (Wonder if it was Disney and Universal that convinced the government to scrap them)
>>2832435I haven't been to either of them. When I talk to my spouse about it he gets this "I regret marrying a Disney adult" look. I've been conniving on ways to save up and go. Thanks for the update! I just watched a video of DisneySea at night and it looked so happy and magical. There was a romantic glow in the air and everyone was wearing the wholesome nostalgic stuff we used to enjoy in the 50s-90s. None of the recent ugly DEI stuff.
>>2832498Ew no. I just want to hear about Disney or Universal in Tokyo. Nothing else
>>2832248Weird about it being the 90s. But, many people are nostalgic for that time.
>>2832520It's not weird. The 90s are when the book series and movies take place. Harry was born in 1980 and started school at hogwarts in 1991. Technically since the ride takes place after the main story, the ride is set in 1998 or 99. The weird part is the ride being chronologically and geographically separate from the land
>>2832528The movies never really cared out the time it was set in, they were wearing 2000s fashion when it should have been mid 90s.The TV series looks set to be more faithful with shellsuits, cardigans and colourful sundresses
>>2832419>Put up signs saying no swimming near a murky body of water in Florida.>Despite the signage, some parents decide to let their kid swim in a murky body of water in Florida.>Kid unsurprisingly gets eaten.Tragic, but it's hardly any fault of Disney's that the family was that retarded.>>2832424It's crowded, but the crowds never felt overbearing for me. TDL and TDS are designed for crowds. They have larger pathways than the US parks, so there's more room to spread out. DisneySea also has tons of quiet areas you can stop at to take a break. The only place that felt overcrowded when I went was Fantasy Springs because it had just started previews, so everybody was pouring in there.
>>2832466>And then you could do all the Harry Potter rides without leaving USF/IOA.Well they dont want that obviously because Potter fans making the pilgrimage is still a huge revenue source for them. It makes sense to distribute one at each park to incentivize multi-day tickets and staying in the universal bubble. I imagine Nintendo will eventually have representation at each of the parks as well to squeeze that fanbase just as hard. Seems like Zelda is going to Islands. The rumor has been Pokemon at studios for quite a while, but The Simpsons license is looking like it might be renewed despite Disney buying the IP rights so idk how that changes things. They could put Pokemon at Islands, Zelda at Epic, and just tell Studios to go fuck itself as per usual.
>>2832538Can they at least buy new projectors if they're renewing the Simpsons? The worst thing about the ride is it being blurry with muted colours.

>>2832542Cedar.
>>2832528That makes sense
>>2832536You're supposed to kill gators over 4ft. Plus employees were feeding gators which took the natural fear of humans away. Lastly they made it look like a beach. It wasn't dark and murky. It had bright white beach sand. And calling grief ridden parents retards is a new low.
>>2832536Yeah that's my biggest issue. Plus I'm very tall and muscular so I worry about being in the way a lot. I already worry about that in my own areas here.
>>2832515Universal isn't even in Tokyo retard-kun
>>2832548White sand doesn't make the water not murky, and grief doesn't make one's actions not retarded. If there's a no swimming sign in a body of water in Florida of all places, don't let your kid in the fucking water, especially at night. Alligators aside, there could be any sort of pollution, snakes, bacteria, underwater obstacles, etc.
>>2832554there's a thing in the law called an attractive nuisance. disney was probably liable because of that
>>2832549Aside from parades and shows, size shouldn't be an issue with getting in the way, and even then you could probably just stand somewhere not immediately in front of the view if you're tall enough. Though as a short guy, I can't really speak to how things would be on rides.
>>2832554He was splashing at the shore. Have you ever had toddlers? They're a ton of work. Stfu
>>2832552I wonder what the impact of AI will have on voice acting for the rides
>>2832556If you're worries about shows, stand in front of a lamp post or below a kerb. The number of times you think you've got a good spot and the guy in front puts a kid on their shoulders...Just hold them level with your head dammit!
>>2832563>The number of times you think you've got a good spot and the guy in front puts a kid on their shoulders...One of the great thing it's about the Tokyo parks is that the Japanese just don't do this shit.>>2832557Yeah, kids are hard. That's why you don't let them wade into murky water in Florida at night. I'm not saying the family deserved what happened; I'm just saying the fault lies with them. If your kid runs off a hiking trail and falls off a cliff despite warning signs, is that your fault or the fault of the park service?
>Duhhhhh hey guys did you know that if you let a 100 year old man ride a roller coaster with a crazy heart line roll he might not find it that comfortableWhy did people listen to him again?
So let me get this straight, Universal is not at fault for killing a cripple and its the cripples fault for riding itBut Disney is to blame for a wild alligator munching on a toddler?Universaltards reaching new lows itt.>>2832569
>>2832578there's an active investigation going on with universal. we'll see what happens. it looks like they already ruled out mechanical / operator error though. it sounds just like a freak medical accident to me. these things happen.
>>2832531>>2832528Yep, movies were present day. Not that it really matters considering very little of the films is spent in the muggle areas where you can actually see period artifacts.
>>2832538Yeah it does. It’s just too bad there wasn’t a third major location in the books to use. Best I can think of is the quidditch world cup area, although that was just a temporary area with tents instead of a permanent city.
>>2832542Cedar does have the best lineup with Magic Mountain second, but that doesn’t mean you’d necessarily have the most with fun coasters there. The most fun I’ve had this year was at Busch Gardens Williamsburg and Kennywood because there were almost no lines. I got lots of back to back rides on their best coasters. Even with a fast pass I was often waiting half an hour or more at Cedar Point.
>>2832583I'm of the opinion they screwed themselves making Hogwarts the queue of FJ instead of an indoor land. 95% of the story takes place inside the castle and the queue just briefly touches on things such as Gryffindor commons or the class rooms. If they could do it over again, making Epic's portal lead into a massive indoor Hogwarts interior land with an on-site hotel that allowed guests to literally sleep in recreations of the dorm rooms after getting sorted would have printed money like the fucking federal reserve. There's no way they could have had the foresight to do this and the design choice they made was obvious at the time, but they're totally out of locations now that Ministry has been done.
>>2832585yeah i was thinking thati would definitely have a better time at an average park with no lines versus "the best" with huge lines
>>2832585>>2832598I think I'd pick SFMM over CP now. Shorter lines, KBF is in the region too, and you're in LA where there are many things to do vs the outskirts of Cleveland. I'd probably go to KI over CP now anyway.Did Cedar Point become a victim of its own success? It's not like waits were shorter in the past, but it seems like there are fewer 'off days' now where waits are reasonable (<30 minutes for the marquee rides). The main complaints I hear about it are lines, lines, lines, and more lines. Contrast that with SFMM which is a step down in certain respects but the wait times seem much lower.
>>2832587That’s a great idea but too ambitious. Especially since Universal was a bit desperate at the time (hence why they bent the knee to Rowling and gave her creative control when Disney didn’t) and would never have gone that hard.
>>2832599I’ve heard great reports of Cedar Point on weekdays. But then you’re using your vacation days if you have a job. It’s also not just the length of the lines but where they are and what they’re shaped like. Millennium Force is cattle pens with almost no shade. Many others are similar. KI was just about as bad as CP on the Saturdays I went, with a worse lineup. Their best rides are easily the B&M hypers, so not much variety at the top (compare that to the diversity between MF, Steel Vengeance, TT2 and Maverick). Their woodies, while good, I think are overrated.
>>2832605I personally do not go to theme parks on the weekend ever, obviously those will be the worst days to visit. And yes, having two dozen switchbacks in the blazing sun doesn't help even if it's a 30 minute line. I wonder why a lot of parks do this, it's miserable. I suppose because people put up with it but it also wears people out (leading them to shorten their time in park), causes dehydration (thus they have a bad time or even need medical attention), or discourages them from visiting altogether. You're the first person I've heard say that CP lines on weekdays aren't bad. Not saying you're wrong, just that you're the first I've seen to say that. I know KI is a downgrade in the coaster department but I also hear a lot about Cedar Point having multiple major coasters down at any given moment, which is another problem they seem to be constantly dealing with. Don't know what's behind that because it wasn't like that in years past.
>>2832606I guess having a line that isn’t miserable to be in and is actually a bit enjoyable to be in (many Disney/Universal lines) is quite hard, and maybe impossible for rides with minimal theming. So you can have either one long line or a ton of switchbacks. Shade feels like a much easier problem to solve though.I haven’t been to CP on a weekday, I’ve just read posts from people who have. Yeah downtime has been bad for them this year. Thank goodness there was none of that when I paid $205 for fast lane on a Saturday, other than TT2’s usual temporary delays.
>>2832604Well maybe it will be revisited once the indoor park is finished in India and they potentially bring it to Florida as Epic's sister park. An indoor park is the perfect opportunity to "go hard" on theme because it's naturally gonna be compact and cost-saving due to not being outdoors all year.
>>2832727>IndiaThey don't know how to keep things sanitary, clean, clipped, and updated.

>>2832618I don't mind the switchbacks, I just don't like it when they're out in the sun with zero shade. Shows a lack of consideration from the park towards its guests.
>>2832769No they're not! There are no social classes! There are people who are more respected due to being a better "class" when it comes to education, morals, cleanliness, and politeness but there is no direct correlation to money. Culturally, it is based on being humble like the Christians. Culturally it is very different.
>>2832604The decision to let Rowling have control was the best thing they could have ever done. The place is beautiful and has been for years. Creating Harry Potter Land was a complete and total game change and leveled them up to almost Disney.

A lot of people dream and dream of escapism via contemporary resort, private train car, or beach vacation. They usually spend their last dollar on something they could never afford except that they're killing themselves so the loss of money won't matter.

>>2832783I hate to break this to you but it's one of the most disappointing rides I've ever been on. It's slower than an elderly woman's walking speed, and outside of one very small indoor portion with kamek, there's nothing featured on it you cant see from the upper deck. The egg game scavenger hunt is for actual toddlers, which is fine cause toddlers should have fun too, but it's so simplistic even by that standard. The eggs are huge and not even hidden and the console chirps and lights up when its time to press a button. I'm sure for the 3 year olds in attendance it's lit, but I just feel like it could have been more. I was doing the Jaws ride when I was 5 so I guess I have high standards
>>2832796I like slow stuff. It looks like the games my kids play (and I play too).

>>2832727What would become of the IOW Hogwart’s if they build another?Oh and while we’re on the topic, Forbidden Journey’s plot doesn’t make any fucking sense.
>>2832778Wonder what’s going on in the timeline where Rowling was okay with Disney having Coca Cola and shit in Harry Potter world. I guess Universal is decent tier and Harry Potter world is good but not great. Disney prices may be higher due to Universal not being a proper check to them.
>>2832805Well in this hypothetical scenario you just leave it as it is. It's fine for now, showing its age a bit but not nearly as bad as say Jurassic park. If you need to make it discinct for story reasons set it during Goblet of Fire since Hogsmeade is set during Prisoner of Azkaban (if you ignore dragon challenge). And yes, the fact that there's another entrance to the chamber of secrets located a stone's throw from the quidditch pitch was a choice
Are all of you boomers who go with your kids? Or are there also incels who go to theme parks solo?
>>2832808The chamber of secrets entrance being there is actually canon. Film canon at least. They leave the chamber through an unexplained cavity in the earth. Before I went autistic on this stuff my problem was the quidditch match with the snitch just happening to fly by at the exact second you floated onto the pitch. But now I realize the main plot of the ride was the golden trio sneaking you into a quidditch match, so it makes since there was one going on. The problem with this is that that plot is explained in the queue. I never realized this because my first visit I was staying in the hotel that gets you express pass, so I completely missed the exposition (I never understood why Brendan Frasier was pissed off about coffee at the end of Mummy for the same reason). It's not just express pass guests that have this problem these days either. The queue is usually so short you'll only catch the plot if you stop and listen to the trio at that point in the path to the ride. And even then they sounded so quiet I couldn't understand them over other people talking. There are two major problems with the plot though. First, why the fuck does Hagrid have a dragon? And second, why are dementors there and why are they trying to kill everyone? (This is also a major problem with the Azkaban film: dementors just fly around trying to kill people and no one even acknowledges it. In the book they're just present but not violent until the end.)But of course the entire ride is really just meant to be fan service so none of it really matters.
>>2832809I would think incels are the majority. If someone managed to be mentally ill enough to 1. browse 4chan and 2. be a theme park autist, yet stayed normal enough to raise kids, it would be an achievement.

>>2832816>And second, why are dementors there and why are they trying to kill everyone? They're trying to kill Harry exclusively because he's the last horcrux and has a piece of Voldemort in him. Same reason he can talk to snakes and the hat wanted to put him in Slytherin. As for why they are trying to kill the riders, probably for the lulz. Now if you'll excuse me I have to put a shotgun between my teeth to wash this disgusting feeling of knowing things out of my mouth.

>>2833099So I was right. Downtimes and wait times. This is to be expected with the amount of brand new rides, the low capacity of certain rides, and the current hype surrounding it. These are issues that will self-rectify over time as the hypes dies down, the rides become more reliable, and they add more experiences to spread out the crowds. Nothingburger.
>>2833122The park has been open for over 6 months. Why are you playing cover for a company that obviously doesn’t give a fuck about their customers?
>>2833125I'm not. You're just being a dumbass trying to generate a scandalous narrative based on a retarded premise. 6 months isnt even a full tourism season. >>2833155Not him but what’s your point of comparison? We haven’t had a big park open here in like 25 years so there’s not really a benchmark for what growing pains are acceptable in current year + 10.
>>2833136Disney has ramped up construction on new rides and areas at all their parks and if you think that isn't because of pressure from Epic, I don't know what to tell you. >>2833155You dont need to sign posts with a photo of yourself. I already was picturing you as a faggot. >poor maintenanceIt's because they're brand new fucktard. Rides are so complex now that any ride that comes out usually has tons of reliability issues that lead to downtimes. They get ironed out over time. Rise of The Resistance and Hagrid's were down for hours daily for years
>>2833086>>2833122What the fuck were they thinking with the capacity and rides not being built for shitty weather? DK especially is retarded. Ok we're gonna make a family coaster based on a popular IP in the most popular area of the park, hmmm lets see how about a capacity of 1,200 an hour yeah that's totally reasonable and not gonna cause any problems. Yoshi should be a people eater but the capacity is similar to DK so you have people waiting 40 minutes for a babby ride that lasts 5 seconds and takes you outside into the boiling hot florida sun, unless there's lighting in which case you can't even ride at all. Also one single ride in ministry along with a show, along with a dead end that feels like they cut a ride. Did they underestimate how popular the park would be? 2 of the lands only having 2 attractions honestly would've been fine if the actual capacity of the rides themselves were higher, I wouldn't even call it underbuilt, it's more like they thought that they would be fine with a bunch of rides that are built for much smaller crowds. It's a shame because the actual park itself is really good and I thought it was kino when I went during previews, but if you're a regular guest going now it's gonna be way too overcrowded to enjoy.
>>2833086The other parks opened before online reviews were a thing, and a new park creates higher expectations. That being said the waits at Epic are pretty bad considering it gets less people than Animal Kingdom from the data we have. I had a pretty fine time there but I got lucky with the weather and knew which lands to go to at which times.Essentially what Epic needs is to improve capacity on the existing rides on top of adding more capacity (preferably shows/fireworks as those can be built quicker than rides).
>>2833168They were thinking they'd design DK for the Japanese park and then save money by cloning it at the new Orlando park despite those two parks having wildly different crowd levels. I imagine nintendo being autistic as shit probably had a lot to do with it. I mean they demanded that the mario kart ride be a shooting gallery when creative wanted to make an indoor coaster. As for why HP only has one ride it's because the movie it's based on bombed and the land is in a weird limbo. It feels like they cut a ride because they did cut a ride. The original broomstick VR ride would have been on the right side along with a totally fleshed out French Ministry. If you look at arial photos of the land, the domed structure visible in this photo is sitting on basically iron stilts. The reason is that there was supposed to be a showbuilding there for it to sit on that got yoinked when they swapped out rides as outlined here >>2832248There was also budget limitations with the construction of epic coinciding with the covid lockdown shutting tourism off for a year. Three stores in paris are sitting empty. There's a whole restaurant in Celestial sitting empty. The roaming entertainment in celestial got shut off early in TM previews. It's gonna be rough for a bit until the hype dies down and they can build new shit to spread the crowds out.
>>2833172>they demanded that the mario kart ride be a shooting gallery when creative wanted to make an indoor coaster. I wanna read more, have a link to this?

>>2833122>>2833129>>2833133This is equivalent to defending AAA games with buggy launches and 50 patches to bring the game to the standards sold in marketing. Except the "patch" for Epic is to halve the number of people in the park which already is nowhere near the capacity it was meant to take in.You're victim blaming people visiting a new park as if it's their own fault they had a miserable experience.
How come Universal was the only media conglomerate to really try to challenge Disney?
>>2833193Disneyland had a shitty first year too. Let’s see what happens.
>>2833193100% this. Somebody spends $800 to take a family of four, plus $400 on a Universal hotel room, $1200 total, not counting food and other stuff. It didn't have any MGM IP though
>>2833193>>2833197I'm the guy you're responding to and while I agree with your sentiment, to go to a brand new park only open for a few months and expecting it to not be packed to the brim is lunacy. I think the guy who only got to do 2 rides is an exaggerative little bitch who threw a hissy fit over a ride delay and stormed out rather than just doing...something else. Yes Universal has an obligation to make sure the paid experience they are offering works but they do give out refunds if the day is a complete shitshow with nothing working. It has gotten a lot better and the downtimes now are rare. It will continue to improve over time. It's also the first new big theme park constructed state side in 25 years. The hype is through the fucking roof and everyone even mildly interested in theme parks is wanting to go. Either go to the other parks and enjoy the lower queue times or suck it up. >>2833198Kongfrontation used to have daily ride malfunctions that would mandate a total power cut off to the building to prevent the 40 ft tall animatronic from killing the passengers. All of the power to the entire building would trip and the riders would be instantly in completely pitch black darkness until the issue could be manually inspected with a flashlight. It's not a new phenomenon for rides to be a bit finnicky, and the more complex they are, the more things can trigger a safety switch.
>>2833222It's obvious to park autists such as ourselves, but the average normalfag doesn't really know that. You have to think from the perspective of someone who doesn't know shit about theme parks.
>>2833224But this logic extends to anything else. If you hit the freeway around 5, you're gonna get slammed with traffic. The concept of something being more or less packed based on demand is all over society. You'd have to be a complete retard to think a brand new park wont be slammed. It's like going to the beach on 4th of july and thinking you can waltz in around noon and find a parking spot
>>2833200They went in regional instead of trying a real money maker like resortsUniversal had the studio tours so capability to make that a full park theme went all in making the resort route which was their smart move
>>2833172My guess is that Nintendo chosen Mario Kart to be an interactive baby ride, Kong as a coaster, and probably a Galaxy ride to promote their switch 2 games and movies. And the original plan was Mario Kart, Yoshi, and Luigi’s Mansion.
>>2833227And while anyone can get a car loan, the low IQ don’t tend to have Epic Universe type money to throw around.
>>2833258>the low IQ don’t tend to have Epic Universe type money to throw around. How's college?
>>2833222>Either go to the other parks and enjoy the lower queue times or suck it upAgain, Epic is not even close to their true capacity right now. They limited ticket sales for launch and just gradually turned up the heat over the months but they're still not "fully" open. I think the number they were hoping for is 40,000 guests but it's nowhere near that. Therefore it's a major mischaracterization to chalk this up as "a new park being popular". It got babied at launch for optics and it probably kills them to not let more people in but it's a nightmare as it is.
>>2833260Which one?
>universal is testing single-attraction express passesif this causes an increase in wait times im gonna seethe so hard
>>2833262I think that's a myth. The hypothetical capacity of 40k is probably the target once both expansion pads are filled and 5 more rides are added. There's no way in hell they are expecting to put 40k people in the current set up
>>2833265If this is true I'm gonna lose my fucking mind. Disney is already Pay2Win basically and the nice thing about Universal is with basic autism strats you can pull off some sneaky maneuvers with timing and standing near closed rides during extended weather delays totally for free. Plus since most people who buy express just burn it all immediately, late in the day the queue times will plummet as everyone is going to standby. This is gonna fuck up my favorite thing about the parks

>>2833269>$25 per ride So for a family of 4, it's $100 to skip to the front. That's insane, but Comcast is an evil company always looking for new ways to fuck people over so I wouldn't be surprised if this not only comes to the parks, it has dynamic pricing they notify you via the phone app to incentivize sales. I would guess it also comes to HHN. The goal is to make the standard admission ticket a straight up lesser experience. HHN is already like this where it's impossible to do all the houses without express. >Warner Bros is looking to be purchased by Universal in 2027 Looks like Gotham City and Looney Tunes are back on the menu boys
>>2833371Depends on what their contract with Six Flags stipulates (that only a few people on Earth have actually seen). If it included clauses that forbade the licensing of those franchises to other parks, they might own the IP but wouldn't be allowed to use it in their own parks.Assuming that was true (I have no idea), both parties can renegotiate any contract. It would probably end up being a cash payout to SF so WB+U could use that stuff on their own properties (SF would get to continue using them under the terms of their license).
Has anyone been to Nagashima Spa Land? How would you rate it?
>>2830791Just realized there is a thread dedicated to theme parks lol I will repost my reply from tne other threadI've been considering going to universal orlando as a single day trip without booking a hotelSo far I am torn between Epic and Islands of Adventure. Tbh I am not interested in mounting all the rides as I have limited interest in Universals themes overall. Maybe I will check out one or two major areas of the park and ignore the rest. Is it viable or does it depend on what I want to do?
>>2833403Seems like a huge waste of money to check out one or two areas then bounce. That's not what anyone here would advise. If you're dead set on doing it that way, epic is the more impressive experience in terms of design, but Islands has 3 top-tier coasters if that's your thing. Epic has the best dark ride in orlando, but Islands has 2 pretty good ones. I dont really give a shit about the themes either but the rides at both parks are worth checking out. If you go in January or February, that's the off season and crowds will be down quite a bit, but the water rides at Islands will be closed. Epic is currently slammed with people regardless of the day of the week and we don't know when that will change. I would say it's viable but I would say there's better uses of money than just walking in, hitting up 2 things, then leaving.
>>2833354To get in front of the proles of course. What kind of question is that. Parks like Holiday World where you have to wait behind poors are annoying.
>>2832604>>2832727Allegedly Universal have paid stupid money to WB for the rights to Harry Potter in the UK so a more full exploration of Hogwarts could happen, especially as they want to keep the park as different from the US parks as possible.
>>2833354>They also require a drivers license to enter.Really?
>>2833403Islands of Adventure 10/10 times. Or, do the park hopper with fast pass and to Islands and Universal. If you’re strapped on cash tho, Islands 10/10
>>2833406> but Islands has 3 top-tier coasters if that's your thing.Hulk, Velocicoaster, and Hagrids? Top tier? Fucking woody woodpecker or flight of the unicorn must be top tier in your mind >t.

Hopefully Holiday World hires a few jews and they implement fast passes. I had a good time tonight (everything you’ve heard about the Voyage at night is true) but actually having to wait in line is as gay as, well, you, poorfag.
Paid line cutting isn't really a great product, since it's a zero-sum game.I like corporations that sell people things that aren't just positional goods.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Positional_good
>>2833514>The source of greater worth of positional goods is their desirability as a status symbolYeah, no. Time is money. That’s where the value comes from. Which means not getting an express pass is actually far more expensive than getting one.

>>2833620Do any parks actually have single rider anymore?
>>2833626EU has it for a bunch of rides. RoTR recently got single-rider.
>>2833574I think it's less the motion sickness and more that the effect kinda sucks on that ride. Dims down what should be a bright setting and you often get double vision because of the angle you're looking from.
Anyone else feel mogged by thoosies with more credit? Yesterday I talked to this fat kid in line. He had a tshirt with what looked like every amusement park in Britain on it. I wanted to see if he was British and visiting… nope, just American with the money and vacation days for a UK park tour. He told me about all the best rides in Europe. Felt like I was back in my college gym waiting behind the guy benching 315.
>>2833620>I do single rider>haven't waited in line for anything in 5 yearswell which one is it anon

>>2833669No single rider lines have been removed at any florida parks as far as I know, it's all still there.
>>2833696Show me a single rider line at SeaWorld. I don’t care about any other park in Orlando bc I’m a thoosie
>>2833693I can but UK isn’t even on my radar except for Alton and Thorpe. I’m spending the rest of my time on the continent. But this guy was so far ahead he can devote weeks even to the UK’s inferior parks.
>>2833701Anybody cans just get on a plane. I’ve never been to a European park but as far as I’m aware they don’t even do fastpass, they’re cheap as chips
>>2833696Well he said he didn’t have to wait in them, which eliminates Islands of Adventure because Hagrid’s single rider lines is about as long as standby. >>2833698Islands of Adventure alone matches Seaworld’s coaster lineup. Add in Epic and the new Intamin at USF and Seaworld gets completely mogged by Universal.
>>2833709lol, who pays you to lie anon? Both are owned by vanguard and blackrock and state street, who in turn, are all owned by the same people. There’s literally no reason to lie unkess you’re getting paid or you’re potentially misguided/ unwell
>>2833711What does this have to do with coasters? Did a bot break?
>>2833703There were like 20 parks on his shirt. >I’ve never been to a European park but as far as I’m aware they don’t even do fastpass, they’re cheap as chipsAren’t their ops actually good though (Disney/Universal tier) at their top parks? So the lines at least move.
>>2833712I think this is the poor anon. You can tell because he doesn’t own any vanguard index funds.
>>2833715> Aren’t their ops actually good though (Disney/Universal tier) at their top parks? So the lines at least move. Can anybody actually attest to this? I’m sorry if I came off rude but it’s only bc I lived in Europe and flights are like $29
>>2833711Oh shit you are right, fuck universal
>>2833709>>2833669I do Disney, Universal and BGT. I choose dead days for BGT, do single rider at Universal and Disney. In regards to Hagrids I rope drop that mf since I'm a passholder and they let us enter the park before even hotel guests. Havent waited in line (more than 10 mins) unless I'm with people since I started doing this.
>>2833709>Add in Epic and the new Intamin at USF and Seaworld gets completely mogged by Universal.I really dont think comparing coasters between universal and a coaster park is productive. It's like comparing a bowling alley that has an arcade with a dedicated arcade.

>>2833752You’re saying Universal has things besides roller coasters and Sea World doesn’t? You know Sea World is a zoo, right?
>>2833376Universal would simply pay out Six Flags (who would take it since it pays off their debt) and gives them time to change everything over to new themesThey do not acquire dc/looney tunes/etc without wanting to use them in their parks where they are running out of IPs they own
>>2833774So then it's even more non-comparable. Totally different target audiences.
>>2833831Sea World bills itself as the coaster capital of Orlando, no? I interpret this as them claiming to have the best coaster lineup in the area. Since Universal also has roller coasters and we can compare their coasters to SeaWorld’s, saying we can’t do this is just wrong.
>>2833871But I'm saying that Universal isnt a coaster park. It's a park that has coasters. If you're a thoosie and you're visiting orlando, your needs are better served at SW or making the trip to BGT. Unless Velocicoaster, Hulk, Stardust, and RRReplacement appeal that much to you.
>>2833876Additionally, Considering that the thoosies that lurk this gen scoff at the Universal coaster line up as "b&m slop and intamin slop" even they agree that Universal isnt a coaster park. They aren't trying to be a coaster park. They're an IP-slop park that happens to have 4 coasters to gain an edge over Disney. They aren't trying to out-coaster Six Flags or SW.
>>2833876First of all who cares. Second of all Sea World isn’t a coaster park either, it’s an animal theme park that has coasters. >your needs are better served at SWI mean that’s the discussion. Is this even true? The lines are certainly better at SW, but are the coasters? >MakoGreat, but it’s pretty similar to B&M hypers you can find all over the place.>KrakenGeneric B&M floorless you can find all over the place.>MantaGeneric B&M flyer you can find all over the place.>PipelineAbsolutely unique and great. Probably the best reason to go to SW. The rest are family coasters I didn’t get to ride but didn’t look that interesting. Correct me if I’m wrong.Islands has:>VCElite and pretty unique.>Hagrid’sElite and very unique.>HulkGeneric B&M sitdown, but with a cool launch.Already you could argue Islands is better. But add in Stardust, which I haven’t ridden but people rave about, the other two at Epic, and then the upcoming Fast coaster at USF, and there’s no argument for Sea World at all.I’m not even sure I prefer SW’s lineup to all of Disney World’s:>Guardians>Tron>Everest>Thunder>Space>RNRCAre Pipeline and Mako really better than all of those combined?
>>2833893>>2833876Also, since when it was 7 coasters enough to be a “coaster park” in this country? According to this page, the only Six Flags (a chain of actual coaster parks) properties that don’t have more than 7 coasters are the infamous Michigan’s Adventure, Frontier City and Six Flags Great Escape. 7 is well below average and barely above the 5 of Islands of Adventure.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Six_Flags
>>2833893We're talking about thoosies tho. They would not enjoy Hagrids because it's a family coaster. Same for the entire disney lineup. They would not enjoy Hulk because they say in this general that it's generic. So that leaves VC which is arguably second best coaster in Florida not named Iron Gwazi. So realistically it's one coaster. Stardust is subjectively not as thrilling as VC, with the overall appeal being the dueling gimmick, it's also at another park that is currently a miserable experience to attend.Sea world calls themselves the coaster capital of orlando because they have 5 coasters in one park. BGT has 8. If you are a cedar point kinda guy and find yourself in florida, you're better off going to SW or, ideally, BG.If you go to Uni for coasters exclusively, you're paying double the ticket price of BGT for one (very cool) ride.So to tie this all back to my original point, it's impossible to compare the parks purely by their coaster offerings because they are all appealing to different people.>>2833896It's coaster park + aquatic zooBGT is coaster park + african zoo Universal is Disney + CoastersDisney is Disney Six Flags (and such) is the purest "coaster park"
Am I insane for preferring Stardust over Iron Gwazi
>>2833906No. If anything it's a good contrarian take
>>2833897Thoosies love Hagrid’s. I’m a thoosie and it’s one of my favorites. GTA ranks it the #23 steel coaster in the world. Votecoasters voted it #90 in the world. GTA also has VC at #2 steel in the world and Stardust #17. The only Sea World Orlando coaster ranked by GTA is Mako at #22. It’s also the only one in Votecoasters top 100.>Sea world calls themselves the coaster capital of orlando because they have 5 coasters in one park. BGT has 8.Both wrong. >If you go to Uni for coasters exclusively, you're paying double the ticket price of BGT for one (very cool) ride.BGT isn’t even in Orlando, and as we’ve said Universal has no fewer than three elites, with another one probably on the way.>So to tie this all back to my original point, it's impossible to compare the parks purely by their coaster offerings because they are all appealing to different people.I already proved you wrong by comparing their offerings side by side here >>2833893.>It's coaster park + aquatic zooStupid, arbitrary and irrelevant distinction.
>>2833750>I do single rider at Disney>a resort with 6 single rider lines across its 4 parks, including 0 at its most popular onesLying faggot. You wait in lines longer than 10 minutes and seethe about Jews the entire time.
>>2833945Why doesn't disney like single rider anyway? They just run into these weird situations like space mountain and rotr where ops realizes that a single rider line would be a good thing so you get stuff like a single rider line that's only available near the end of the line because the attraction wasn't built for it.
>>2833172>They were thinking they'd design DK for the Japanese park and then save money by cloning it at the new Orlando park despite those two parks having wildly different crowd levels. The funny part is that USJ actually gets way more attendance (3rd in the world behind MK and DL). Nintendo has to use a virtual queue system for the whole land to keep crowds manageable.
>>2833951I don’t get how virtual queue isn’t more widespread period in 2025. Who benefits from people standing in a 2 hour line for one ride?
>>2833956>wake up 7am to play the virtual queue lotteryfuck no, i've done that enough and i never wanna do it ever again
Regional park haters are weird
Do you faggots even go to parks? It’s the weekend. You should be out at a park, and yet no one is posting about their experiences. So either you don’t go to parks or you don’t talk about going to parks. In either case, why are you here?
>>2833963Why would I post on 4chan while im having fun at a theme park?
>>2833963>It’s the weekend. You should be out at a parkI have peasant pass for disney world, no weekends
>2833977>he doesn’t green text funny shit to /tpg/ during his tripsWhat a fucking loser.
>>2833963The weekend is the worst time to go to a park. Best time to go is during tues-thurs when you have a day off.
>>2833985>only going to parks during your PTOYeah you guys are hopeless.
>>2833956>Who benefits from people standing in a 2 hour line for one ride?Anyone not in that line. If you give a virtual queue for a ride, people who would normally be in line are now increasing the wait times in other lines or taking up space in restaurants and stores.
this cracker straight up disappeared
>>2834018I would like to see a park experiment with a full scheduling system where you can declare what rides you intend to go on at the beginning of the day and the system slots out times for you to experience all of it in an order that flows with the walking path of the park with at limited a wait as possible. Maybe it would be a bit annoying for the people who impromptu run around and do whatever, but I think for most families and guests that just want to do everything once and do a big lap of the whole park before leaving, just having a checklist with time windows could be beneficial. Has this ever been attempted? I imagine it would work for the park as well because you would have the bulk of guests out spending money rather than growing irate in line
>>2834089That is possibly the worst idea I have ever heard man. How do you expect a park to be able to gather the proper data from every single one of thousands of guests to provide them a scheduled itinerary with no/minimal wait times? How does this park account for ride closures? How could they possibly manage the sheer number of people in the park? Lines are essential to crowd control. Can you imagine the Magic Kingdom with nearly every guest on a walking path or in a store? No park has ever attempted this because it's a complete fantasy that would never work. The only way it could feasibly happen is if you have extremely limited capacity, but then you wouldn't need such a set-up anyway.
>soarin doing an America version next year at both land and worldWe are so freaking back soarinchads. I hope they use real video footage, seems easy in the age of drones
>>2834097Mall of America did it first
>>2834092I still feel like there could be a better way to do lines given modern technology than how it is currently implemented. Even with delays they can just move time windows around. Seems like the kind of thing that would be experiments with overseas first at a park built from the ground up for that sort of system. I would bet the Saudis or China would try it, but, as you said, it would have to be at a park designed for that type of capacity. Lines are the worst part of a theme park and excessive lines ruin the day and make it a huge waste of money so the incentive is there.
>>2834097I'm actually really surprised by this and shocked they have gone with such a patriotic and pro America theme. Is nature healing a little bit?
>>2834089It's coming. It is very likely being developed right now by someone, whether it's a major park chain or an outside supplier. Disney and Universal seem the likeliest places for it to go into. It's just the next progression of virtual queuing. Still years away from an early trial, but expect it in the future at some parks.
>>2834089Mouth drooling retards like yourself are the reason for the parks sucking and the general decline in society
>>2834140It's likely for the 250th and was going to happen regardlessHope they keep some of the iconic shots from SOC
>>2834153If that anon thought of it you can bet that someone inside or adjacent to the industry has as well
Current rumor: Demolition plans are being made for the Wonders of Life building at Epcot
>>2834089>>2834128There isn't enough capacity for something like that. You'd just run into the same problems fp+ and virtual queue have, actually getting what you want would be impossible unless you wake up a 2am and press a button .1 seconds faster than someone else.
>>2834097They're still using helicopters like they did with the world version. Seems like Mount Rushmore will be one of the locations
>>2834157Heard that too. One source thinks it's a gut job to actually put something in there, another source thinks it'll be a complete teardown with no known plans to replace it. Essentially tearing it down because they don't want to pay maintenance costs on an empty building.
>>2834159I was envisioning it more as curated experience where the day or week before, you would indicate how many people are in your party and the rides you wish to experience and it would set up a "playlist" of reservations automatically that considered walking distance and time of day. So you wouldn't have to wake up and beat anyone to anything. You'd just know that between 1-2pm you have a slot on a ride that would put you in a much shorter line than you would otherwise be standing in. An AI would manage the flow of guests at the park and spread everyone out sending people to less popular attractions early to avoid bottlenecks and 2 hour queues that are normal at parks. So you would get a schedule that was different from other guests and be headed to certain areas first you wouldn't normally go to off the rip. You'd still have lines, but because the lines are all distributed more evenly and more guests are not in line at all, the waits would be significantly reduced...in theory. It will probably never happen cause there's a ton of variables to consider, and its just easier for parks to implement a fast pass system and tank the negative guest feedback about lines, but it would be cool to see. >>2834153If I ever catch you in public I'm smashing your teeth into a fine powder, cutting your dick off, and feeding it to you
>>2834189>14,000 people want to ride something>the ride can only handle 10,000 people per dayHow do you intend on solving this problem?
>>2834169The idea they are going to put nothing there is short sighed. That is a huge expansion space and the biggest expansion opportunity in Epcot. They kept the thing up for close to 20 years now, they can keep it up longer if they cared. There is no big projects at Epcot so this would be the next one.If they demolish it they are not just going to leave a big empty lot with the Guardians coaster blue building being fully visible out. Something would need to cover, in fact a bigger building can cover all of thatEither if they regut it or fully demolish that would mean something is planned for the space, I bet we hear about it at d23 2026
>>2834190The same way parks handle it now. You close the queue
>>2834193>The same way parks handle it now. You close the queueNo, they handle it by having lines. If the line is too long then less people decide to ride. When the fuck has a queue ever closed because too many people wanted to ride something? What park does this?
>>2834162>with the worlds versionSoarin around the world is 100% CGI
>>2834194>No, they handle it by having lines. At the end of the night they close the queue. The queue could be 2 hours long, so operations might close it earlier than the rest of the park. Parks will also close their queues in anticipation of severe weather, or if they're planning on shutting a ride down earlier than when the park closes. Anyway, "line = full" doesn't seem like an insurmountable problem, in fact it was bound to happen and it's probably already been figured out by interested parties.
>>2834198>At the end of the night they close the queue. They close it because the park closes.
>>2834199And they have to turn people away, which they do by closing the queue.
>>2834194So it’s basic economics, supply and demand, where the currency is time in the park and prices are set in queue time. For rides where more rides are demanded than there is capacity for, the queue time increases until enough people balk that the rides demanded are equal to the daily capacity. Any time used in a line for one ride can’t simultaneously be spent in line for another ride, so people must choose what matters to them most, just like any dollar you spend in real life on one item can’t be used for another.I guess that makes sense. Still seems like there should be some way around it.
>old theme park has a western land and a slightly different western landhmmm I wonder what this used to be
>>2834192I mean it's nuDis, what do you expect? Imagineering, to their credit, is moving in a better direction since Bruce Vaughn came back. But the faggot dick sucker park ops bean counters are the real devil here. I wouldn't be surprised at all if the math is simply "it costs X to keep this building standing every year but we could tear it down for Y and be done with it". It would be prime future expansion real estate but with the glacial pace Disney moves at it wouldn't surprise me if they tore it down and let it sit empty for another decade or two.
>>2834190>14,000 people want to ride something>the ride can only handle 10,000 people per dayThis is already a problem now and how it's solved is by having extremely large queues that psychologically discourage people from entering the line or incentivize buying fast passes to bypass the line. So with the current solution you already have a pretty ugly situation of people not being able to ride something they wanted to ride or express passes blowing up queue times. Theoretically with an AI scheduling people's days and moving people around the park you could incentivize movement elsewhere with things such as double-rides on certain attractions, or other perks. Or you could just make higher capacity attractions and tell nintendo that a 4 seater rollercoaster is a bad idea
>>2834234Problem with that is you’re dependent on people showing up at the right time, which would become a clusterfuck fast, either with the ride becoming starved or people showing up at their time slot and waiting anyway.
>>2834244That already happens. Knowledge from how that is handled can be integrated into the new system.
>>2834244If they don't show up at the right time, they lose their slot and can choose to swap out one of their other slots for that ride or gamble on a future availability opening up. This system would obviously have to be live and reactive, constantly monitoring who has ridden, who hasnt, delays, and weather and shit. So if you missed your slot on a ride you really wanted to do, it would notify you later on if a timeslot became available cause someone else missed their later timeslot. Maybe people wouldn't enjoy being shepherded around with AI, but I think with a park designed from the ground up with a system like this in mind to optimize the shit out of your day it could really work for a lot of the braindead theme park goers. Removes all the thinking. Just go where it tells you and when. The obvious benefit to being told where to go is that you would rarely be in line which, again, is the number one guest complaint.
>>2834246I would add to this before someone calls me a retarded faggot that I dont believe this sytem is possible and this is merely a thought experiment. There's way too many variables and human nature getting in the way. It would just be nice to use current tech to do something about the queue question.
>>2834245No it doesn’t. The only rides at Disney that get starved are the ones like Nemo that no one wants to ride anyway so are irrelevant to this discussion. >>2834246>>2834249Is this not just the fast pass system before they made it paid and gay?
>>2834231The bean counters were going to use the space for Play remember, so they were investing in it anyway. It would be open without COVID.If it is about cost why not just keep it a skeleton for storage as it is now and redo the roof once every 5 years, which would be cheaper then demoing and finding new storage? If it is going it is because they have plans for it, as the obvious next place to do something with at EPCOT. If they want a dark ride the current building will not really work for that and demoing for a fresh build would be a better financial move
>>2834270>Is this not just the fast pass system before they made it paid and gay?I have no idea how fast passes used to work at Disney because I don't go to Disney very often, but I'm assuming the fast passes didn't navigate you around the park to check rides off your personal curated list. I remember one time my family scanned a bracelet at Jungle Cruise and we were told to return in 3 hours to ride it, if that's what you mean?
Japan trip anon here. Due to horrible travel fuckups beyond my control which I won't get into, I only got half a day in USJ so I didn't get to do that much (like Super Nintendo World). We have some extra days at the end of the trip so we're probably gonna go back to hit everything we missed later.>Park looks beautiful at night. Especially so when on Hollywood Dream, you get some really nice views of the park on that. Simple but really fun coaster.>Chainsawman 4D was pretty fun, although the effects were very mild. There was lots of blood splatter happening which obviously would spray some water at you, but I barely felt a thing. My sister disagreed so maybe there was just something wrong with my sprayer>Jurassic Park at night is a different vibe, but I think there was some malfunction at the end because the lifthill and everything after did not have any lights on, it was pitch-black. We didn't even get to see the T-Rex animatronic. All the other animatronics in the first half looked immaculate tho, big contrast to Florida.>Harry Potter is still fantastic imo, even if the video screens are horribly blurry. I'm very curious to see how they improved the formula on Monsters Unchained at some point.>Didn't do any scare mazes, but my sister said the Chucky one was really good. Atmosphere in the park was really cool, all the actors wandering around were great.>Merch game is on point, and shockingly affordable sometimes. To be fair that might just be the weak yen

I've seen Tron: Ares in theaters 5 times now and I really really want to ride Lightcycle run. I haven't since they did the overlay. Also I'm just about going to buy 1 of every Tron merch in the gift shop though I've heard the offerings for Tron are sparse. Do they even sell the NIN album CDs in there? That would be super worth gettting.

An old lady cashier made some small talk with me while waiting for the machine to give me my change, and even tho I know enough to understand about six words she said and responded with just about as many, it was very friendly and nice. So no, language barrier is no issue at all.I'm staying near Osaka so transport was easy, there's a train clearly labeled as going to Universal City. I'll be traveling to Tokyo in about 10 days, really easy with the shinkansen. Also here's some small tips I picked up on>There's a big rush of people ropedropping the park, but there's a second one after 4pm, when school is out and tons of local students go there to hang out. Take that into account. >About two hours before closing people will start heading out, meaning the front of the park and especially the gift shops get flooded with people, so if you wanna buy stuff there, make sure to do it before then.>This also means the back of the park becomes way less crowded. Both Harry Potter and Jurassic Park were walk-ons cause we were there during the last hour of operations. If some lines seem way too long, they get a lot shorter at the end of the day.
>>2834421thanks anon. i would never have thought about a 4pm rush

>>2834563I went on a Friday in September and it wasn’t. They don’t do the thing where the characters give you a massive spiel at the beginning where they tell you the storyline and a bunch of safety warnings, which causes backup. You just enter a few moments after the group in front of you, so the line moves quickly. I don’t think I waited more than 15 minutes for any of them.
>>2834578>You just enter a few moments after the group in front of youI've been to HOS before and this was never the case. They stagger you now? It used to be a conga-line similar to HHNMy usual HHN group couldn't do it this year due to a pregnancy but I want to do one of the halloween events before the season is over so the plan was to do a solo trip, but if I'm gonna have to announce that I'm there alone before every house, fuck it.
>>2834601Theme parks are meant to be experienced with friends. I've never had a good time at ANY theme park by myself. If you can't find someone, you're outta luck. When I got too old to convince people, I found a wife and had kids who I forced to go.

I did Voyage six times in the dark last week, including twice in the front row.
>>2834606I am a prototypical loner who genuinely prefers isolation the majority of the time. I get that for most people the idea of doing a park alone is not appealing, but for me, being with people is just as unappealing. I like being able to do what I want to do when I want to do it. I like being able to walk at my default walk speed without having to turn around and find the people I've left behind. I like how I don't have to hear bitching about how far something is, or how hot it is. I've done trips with big groups of friends, my family, an ex girlfriend I once dragged to one and I can say definitively the times I'm the most happy are when I'm with myself going 100mph without a care in the world.
>>2834624You gotta get people who will do what you want. My family listens to me because I know the best itinerary.
>>2834623Because some groups wont react well to having a random guy tagging along. I'm gonna at least wait until you go to the restroom and she's alone... >>2834625I've never had a friend that could match my raw enthusiasm for theme park days. >>2835120Parks discovering people will pay 3x the ticket price to wait in a smaller line was a watershed moment for the industry that I don't think we can reasonably come back from. Faggots in this very general will tell you it's based and you're just poor for not forking over an additional $300/person to wait in what used to be the normal line duration before this insanity. It's never going to end until people stop volunteering to be anally reamed by corporations that were already raking in billions annually for the exact experience these parks offered 20 years ago for 1/4th the price.Only way out of this mess is the bulk of tourists getting priced out, or some sort of legislative action banning the practice which would be hard to enforce because the Airline industry has been doing it since the 70s. Completely insane that paying $200/person just qualifies you for the low tier experience.
>>2835123This can be avoided by not going to parks that have super busy times at those super busy times. Or just not going to them at all if they're always super busy.I went to Universal Studios Hollywood during the off-season and it was cheap and the lines were short and I had a good time.
>>2835125>off-season>in orlandolol doesn't exist anymore. even when crowds do get lower they cut staffing so the only time you can really get short lines is a few days in september and may

>>2830791Went to Busch Gardens today. Two of the drink stations weren't open. Honeybee season too. Beautiful weather and foliage. Animals were out. Customers are so happy at this place. Lots of smiles.A buttload of foreigners. I heard so many Hispanic accents. The only white foreigners were from the UK. They had everything up and running which meant 5-10 minute wait lines. A feeling of excitement was in the air because everyone knew it was gonna be crazy and spooky at night. Employees were all polite, friendly, and happy. One employee said she loves seeing the iguana she works next to last month. This month the iguana was gone. I felt bad for her. She loved seeing that lil iguana. I got fat this month. Like bloated. Didn't fit on some of the rides. Life this month has been so stressful. https://youtu.be/ifkBL3OfzHI?si=In55CL_p7_ZcGSVd
>>2835120Don’t worry anon it has single rider and according to >>2833620 that means no wait.
>>2835123$300 per year is not that bad. And it’s good to walk on at most parks.
>>2835138Which BG
>>2835123Just go to Six FlagsThey have shorter lines and far better ride models then any Disney or Universal Park. Even with skip lines it never is bad
>>2835142It's not just $300 thoIt's admission (180), travel (400-1000+) hotel (400+), food (80+), merch (40+), and then after all of that an additional (200-300+) for each member of your party just so you can do more than 5 rides without spending all day in line. It's a fucking insult, and if I wasn't a passholder that lived down the road from it, I'd never go. I certainly wouldn't spend the amount of money people are spending to travel all the way to Florida just to do 5 rides. If they got rid of express, the line would be halved for everyone. It's an artificial problem that the big parks created so they can sell a solution to it an exorbitant prices. It's not as big a problem if you're a local like me and you go every few weeks, but it's still fucking annoying cause even if you do single rider or know all the tricks, people who balk at standby being 1hr+ go into single rider blowing up the lines there too. Before it became express eligible, velocicoaster was a 25-40 minute wait all day. That's the natural capacity of the ride. Once they allowed people to blow cash out their assholes it went up to 45-60. It's egregiously jewish and I cant believe people here defend it. You're already dropping tons of money as it is and they cuck you unless you fork over both the arm and the leg. >>2835140I specifically said I rope drop Hagrid's now. If I miss the rope drop window, I do not ride. No ride is worth a 180 minute queue. I would do hagrids to close out the day back when the line was 70 minutes, but since they added it to express it's simply not worth it. Even single rider is clogged with massive south american families that think they're pulling a fast one. >>2835148There isnt a six flags in central florida amigo.
>>2835151Just go to a park that’s not $180 lmao. Not our fault you have upper class taste in parks despite having a lower class wallet. You can get into every Sea World and Busch Gardens in the country for a year for $180. Not to mention every Six Flags in North America for over a year for $70. This is a problem you’ve made for yourself.
jeez i wonder what happened on may 30th that made the wait times suddenly spike up permanently
>>2835151I would add that the new $200-$300 fee to stand in normal lines is for rides that were majority built in the early 2000s. Ignoring velo and hagrid, everything there is old as shit and predates express. So it's just an arbitrary artificial slowing of standby queues so they can make you miserable and incentivize a bad financial decision. >>2835155Nigger I can buy the fast pass 1000 times over. I just have the IQ to know when I'm being ass fucked by a corporation and find issue with that which I guess differentiates me from the rest of the population now. I'm old enough to remember before the fastpass era and how less miserable it was to drag my family through a park for a day. The concept of paying to skip the already lengthy line was fucking absurd. People probably would have kicked your fucking ass for even suggesting it, but if you boil the frog slowly enough I guess people just get used to the diameter their asshole has been expanded. You are paying for things that used to be included and taking their entire girth with a smile on your face. Little faggot bitch.
>>2835156>the lines would be only half as long without express pass!!>graph clearly shows they would still be 70% as long
>>2835151To be fair that is how I feel when people say only discuss the Orlando parksLike most people do not live remotely near those two parks. I am not flying down to Orlando every weekend
>>2835159Again, just go to different parks you fucking retard. There are so many parks out there yet all you want to do is bitch and moan about the flagship resort of the world’s fourth most attended theme park company being expensive.
>>2835166I do go to other parks retard, because as I have repeatedly asserted, it's not a money thing. I spend thousands on theme parks annually. I go to BGT, SW, USF, and Dis. I do them all. Am I wrong to be upset by a measurable decline in guest experience I've noticed during the almost decade I've been a passholder? Am I wrong to be upset about Obama changing the visa process so the parks could be flooded with Brazilians all year? Am I wrong to be upset that rides that I've been on thousands of times now suddenly cost additional money for a reasonable wait time? Am I wrong to point out that HHN is basically $400 if you want to do all of the houses now?Seems to me you have a weak bloodline that exists to be raped by predatory fiscal parasites. There are no great men that descend from your lineage. The majority of the men born from your DNA served as eunuchs scheming with the king as he rolled out some new tax law based on bullshit until the people from my bloodline rose up and decapitated you both.
>>2835162Maybe some data anon can run the actual numbers but it looks to me like the average now is well above the average a year ago. You cant measure 1:1 unless its during the same time of year. Either way it's fucking gay.

>>2835123>Only way out of this mess is the bulk of tourists getting priced outthey will always find out the perfect price, if they raise it too fast they can just back it down.
