I've found myself with an absurd amount of hotel points, and the chain (Wyndham) charges a flat fee when paying in points, so I want to maximize them by staying in places where hotels are as expensive as possible. As an example, it's the same amount of points for a night in Orlando and a night in New York, but Orlando has an abundance of cheap roadside motels while in New York it's pretty much impossible to find anything of any quality for under $200 or $300 a night.

Agreed with these. Also any “city” in Switzerland (I find Geneva accommodations an especial ripoff), Paris (there are cheap places to stay in Paris, which I actually don’t find very expensive overall, but I find you get less than you pay for), Amsterdam, London, and Dublin (like Paris, not egregiously expensive in general, but hotels seem to demand markups they don’t earn).

I don't like Wyndham. They don't have customer service

Anywhere in the US. Take those points to Europe or Asia and you'll get far more value.

Kek. You do realize it’s a shit chain and most properties are motel 6 and the like, right? Get a better loyalty program and earn there instead

Low value males, they never change

No one is jealous of Wyndham points. I once collected them, got to Diamond (which is also Caesars Diamond), only to find nowhere to redeem any of it because everything about the chain is low rent. If you're a /trv/cel and only go to shitholes it might be ok, but no normal person would say at such a property as a leisure stay. I only manage to dispose of all of my Wyndham points by transferring them to Caesars (over years because there's an annual transfer cap) and just had a nice time on Las Vegas trip.

If it were up to me they wouldn't be Wyndham points but that's the hand I've been dealt.

If American hotels are more expensive, then wouldn't the points go further in the US since it's a flat rate?
