Oman is one of the most underrated countries to visit.>Very safe>Not Westernized/commercialized like UAE or Qatar>Beautiful mountains and beaches>Great food>FriendlyI only went once in 2015 but I’m dying to go back.
Can I be openly gay there and kiss my husband in public?
>>2832479It is illegal to engage in faggotry there but apparently: 'In Oman, it is said that cases only get to court if "public scandal" is involved.'This likely has something to do with the fact that their previous Sultan may have been homosexual, I would guess. Anyway, you should try it and let us know what happens.
>>2832479>kiss my husband in public? That's something that isn't even tolerated in most of europe outside of the fag capitals.
>>2832128I think Oman is the only place in the world with a double enclave25.28205167316829, 56.26887248557718
>>2832128Oman seems like a low-stimulation country. Not much to distract yourself with. The natural landscape is 99% barren rocks, which makes some people go WOAH but for me it's meh. No lively street chaos to lose yourself in, like most other Asian destinations. Flight connections to Muscat from the USA aren't too great either. I would've had to show up at the airport at 3 AM and endure two layovers - and the ticket price wasn't exactly cheap either. Then you have to shell out for a car rental if you want to see the country in a timely manner - bus service is limited and gets fully booked up the day of travel. Oh yeah, and summers are dangerously hot there even by tropical standards.
>>2832128>I found a little-known gem not yet globalized or tainted by tourism>Let me advertise it all over the internetWhy are some people like this?
>>2834936> all over the internetonly chuds go on /trv/ and the threads self-delete after a few weeks to months

>>2832128O Man, I can't wait to go!Sorry, that was retarded.
The best branch of Islam since their Hadith collection is more sane than Sunni, this is one of the reasons why people there are better.
>>2834936>gatekeeping omannew low for 4chan intelligence
>>2832128I am Omaní-American and let me tell you something: it is getting full of pajeets.
>>2834810I think there are a couple in Baarle-Hertog/Nassau
>>2834936oman is not some hidden gem lolplenty of normies go there
>>2836941this is correct
Oman seems kino. Would visit if it wasn't so expensive from here.
>>2836945Plenty of Arabs from neighboring countries visit Oman, but white people are not a very common sight, especially during the hotter months.
>>2836975What prices are you looking at? I could've flown Saudia RDU -> MCT with an Endeavor codeshare connection to JFK for $480 or so.
>>2832128>Oman WAS one the most underrated countries to visitftfyin recent years they've become a popular "niche" destinationmy parents, the most normie cultural / history German tourists you could imaginewent there in 2024 after their travel agency took Oman into their portfolio during corona>went once in 20152million tourist arrivals in 2015~4,5million tourist arrivals in 2025 (expected) and growinga nation of 5million peopleit's not overcrowdedbut i wouldn't call that underrated eitherplus tourism widely varies with the seasons as half of the year it's just unbearably hot
