The outlets in Malaysia also come with individual power switches, so if you're plugging in a sparky appliance, you can turn off the outlet first. The only point you have is that the Type H is overkill for a nightlight.

When I visited India, I saw Type G and Type D the most. They're so wildly different from each other that purchasing appliances must be a pain in the ass over there. To add to the chaos, they also use devices with Type C plugs, despite not having Type C sockets.They plug their Type C devices by forcefully jamming them into Type D sockets. Their shape is similar. "Similar" being the key word here, they are not 1:1 identical. The prongs of a Type C plug are spaced slightly more narrow than a Type D. I've seen Type C plugs with cracks in the housing, or prongs that are bent outwards.
