Any trips to travel on a budget? Do you work out your budget in advance? How much do you expect to spend in a one week visit to a foreign country?i make about 8€/hour in europe and looked up affordable flights online, prefferably to cheap countries so i was looking towards eastern europe or asia, also because im interested in their food and culture. Looked up a roundtrip flight to poland for about 120€ and found accomodation for the given week for about the same price too for example, and i have a polish online friend that can advise me and tell me the local prices and who i could meet up there for some fun timesAnother dream of mine would be to go to a poor place in southern asia and rent a motorbike for like 20€/day so i could explore the country on my own without depending on public transport

I'd probably rock Amsterdam for some cheap weed and whores. Then fly to Poland to get some good white women who aren't westernized to party with. Then maybe go to Germany for some cheap beers and good food. Then fly home on a 20 euro flight.

And watch out for bears
>>2834333> Poland>good white women who aren't westernizedplease let this horrific meme end
>>2834333Are you time traveling from 1995 or something?>Amsterdam cheap anything>hostels $7 per night with free breakfast>Poland not westernizedNot a whit of this is true in 2025. Hostels are $30 per night and don't include breakfast (in Vilnius, Lithuania). Polish party girls are tattooed feminists on birth control. Oktoberfest beer is 15 euros per liter. Kebab trash is the only affordable food on offer. Flights are 80 euros and you get charged a luggage fee for wearing heavy boots.
>>2834658Kek little bitch found you, you must be the samefag that shat up the thread. You've never left the USA and your typing style is too obvious. Pussy>>2830464
>>2834370Talk softly to mama bears, don't try to scare them. Be firm and prepared to fight with aggressive adolescents (who are food thugs). Learn to read bear body language. Hunger in a human presence is always a bad sign.Picrel I heard her chuffing in frustration at the branches poking her behind and spotted her up in a tree in town. Then she laid down to take a nap as her cub clambered higher in the tree looking for his own nap. We all stayed quiet and didn't disturb her. Bears are less aggressive than dogs, in my experience. If bears eat people food, they become thugs. Travelers should be more concerned about being attacked by a pack of dogs all with rabies from one dog constantly biting the others.
>>2834659I've spent 24 of the past 68 months overseas. How about you?
You ever had to order $5 worth of fried seafood at a restaurant because a vicious rainsquall overtook you as you were walking back to your hotel? I made it last for the entire hour that the rainsquall lasted, then I returned to my stifling room with no A/C. >>2834332Travel longWhen I made $8 per hour I could save $800 per month, but I was living in an employee dormitory. My last overseas trip (with minimal intoxication & intercourse) averaged $1000 per month including airfare.
>>2834332The lack of responsibility associated with public transport (apart from the responsibility to board at boarding time and disembark at your destination) is attractive. I don't want to be responsible for a 300 pound machine, I only want to be responsible for myself. Yes, motorcycle touring in Asian traffic is an adventure, but one second of clueless fucktardation and you're in a hospital with broken bones. There is no such thing as right of way BTW. No stop signs. Everything is about reacting to what's in front of you and making intuitive decisions based on reading the behavior of others.
>>2834332>"poorfag">wants to double his daily spend to ride a motorbikeCovering 3300 km in Malaysia via their mostly excellent and air-conditioned public transport cost me 361 ringgit. Currently around $85 USD. Compare this to the cost of motorbike rental and fuel.
>>2834666>>wants to double his daily spend to ride a motorbikethats teh thing, i wonder how affordable a motorbike can get, i know in south asia the rentals can be dirt cheap but in europe its probalby not worth it
>>2834666also its not about just the utilitarian wayits about the value i get of being free to ride anywhere while having fun on a motorbike, being able to take a detour whenever, explore whatever i wantvspublic transport on determined routes where i just sit for a while going from point A to point Bit may be more affordable, more relaxing, but not as fun
>>2835082A lot depends on how far you are willing to walk. There's so many cool things I've found poking around on foot that I'd have never found zooming by on a motorbike. But you do need a lot of patience to endure the hours of tiresome trudging, especially in a hot tropical climate. At least the activity helps with appetite...ride a motorbike and you burn so few calories that you might only be able to digest one proper meal a day (plus sugary drinks and snacks).
>>2835139true, i think ill just walk around warsaw for a week rather than try and do trips on motorbike or whatever
>>2835216>walk around warsaw for a weekSounds like hell, kek.
