>>2834478i was on a flight once when the oxygen masks came down. the pilot did a steep descent to a lower level to avoid some turbulence or something. some people were crying. ironically the oxygen masks would have probably calmed them down but i don't think they really helped the situation

i've always wondered if these are more for show than anythingconsidering how long it takes people to get off the plane in normal circumstances (okay they're getting bags which slows them down)also makes me hate sitting next to a fat person even more... in an emergency i'm going to get stuck behind them and perish
