Europe is just an extension of the USA these days. >Everything is in English>Everyone speaks English>Population is globohomo mystery meat>Cities are dominated by the same USA conglomerates and megacorporations>US TV shows, movies, music dominates the local culture>Entire population under 40 has been raised on US internet and US culture>In many countries the youth use English more than their own languageWhy would I want to visit Europe when the entire continent looks identical to Canada where I live? There's barely any difference under the surface between Vancouver, Berlin, London, Helsinki or Warsaw these days.
>>2837116>Europe is just an extension of the USA these days.Always has beenYou're welcome, btw
>>2837116No, Europe is very different from the US. You simply lack the observational acuity to look beyond your phone screen at the rural landscapes and urban layout across both continents.
>>2837144this
>>2837116>same USA conglomeratesThis was not written by someone who speaks English natively
>>2837144Please tell me how.>Same shops>Same business>Same car dependency>Same diverse population of immigrants>Only difference is Europe is poorer
I love Italian STROADS
>>2837189They drink carbonated water instead of regular waterThis is probably the most unique cultural aspect of Europe when compared with North AmericaAlso they have arabs instead of latinos
>>2837116>Why would I want to visit EuropeWhat a stupid fucking questionDo you really travel just to "see cities"? Cities are almost designed to be similar, because that's where the business is. You don't travel for business (unless you do which is different), you travel to have fun and see things you can't at home, some of which is in cities, some of which is in the country.
>>2837189Megacorporate commercial districts can be found in any country. What matters is how much of the lifeblood they have drained from the old town. In most of the Old World, the traditional ways of doing business are still thriving. However, in the USA, the old buildings are left to decay and then demolished to build something new.
>>28371163/10 rage bait>In many countries the youth use English more than their own languagekek nothey may speak english around you, because you only speak one language...
>>2837190>I love Italian STROADSi meanstroads are basically a southern european invention>plenty money for big roads>but none for smaller ones>lots of corruption and people just build where they want>so lots of housing and shops on big roadsno needs for smaller streets kek
>>2837236Cope. When they use the internet, talk with people, leave the country, watch a movie, watch goyflix, listen to music, go on twitch, even look up porn they're all doing it in english. Native english speakers don't give a single fuck about their "languages" on the other hand and it is seen as a quirky hobby rather than necessity to learn one.
>>2837246>even look up pornThat's how I know you're full of shit.Look up the most popular porn categories by country, at the top you'll find terms like German or Portuguese, that's because in Europe they search for porn in their own languages
>>2837458No they don't. They go on pornhub and xvideos like everyone else. And portuguese is bc of Brazil
>>2837246Movies and TV are nearly always dubbed in the local language. Music is more of a mixed bag. Lots of European artists sing in English to appeal to a wider audience, but many more don't.People of all ages converse with their fellow nationals in the national language 100% of the time, both IRL and online. Only when a language barrier presents itself do people switch to the lingua franca. If you travel to a tourist trap, you'd be forgiven for thinking that all Europeans prefer to speak English, because that's what they speak when they're mingling with foreign tourists. I traveled to some barely-visited parts of Eastern Europe last summer, and the overwhelming majority of people over 40 refused to speak English. They did not take kindly to my pantomime gestures and botched attempts at pronunciation either.
>>2837116Actually the USA is just an extension of Europe. You see about 500 years ago (technically 1000 if you count vikings but they didn't go far) our EUROPEAN ancestors set out for the Americas. Ones that liked the land settled on it even which is why you exist! These Europeans brought their cultures and traditions with them, but ultimately ended up mixing and muddling a bit of those which is why the US is full of weird Euro-like celebrations that have been twisted by the many cultures.
