>fell for the travel solo meme
traveling solo is way more fun than bringing some woman along who whines and needs shit 24/7
>>2840242By using the phrase "fell for" you admit that you are a weak-minded person. Weak-minded people are not cut out for the privations and ordeals of the travel life.
>>2840242I can't imagine ever not traveling solo again, unless I get a gf/wife, which who fucking knows when that'll happen. It feels good to not be shackled to someone else's time and interests. The only downside is if you travel specifically to party. If you walk into a club alone, you already lost, because everyone is already in their own groups and only wants to talk to other people in groups, not solo incels
>>2840242Travel solo, talk to girls, fuck the girlsenjoy life
>>2840245This. Social media zombies are best rotting away at home. Insane how goycorps like airbnb destroy communities just so faggots can farm likes and follow trends.
>>>/r9k/ is this way kind tard, kindly take your mongrel posts there.Thank you.
>>2840243travelling with a good friend (male) > travelling solo > travelling with a random dude or two > travelling with a femoid > travelling with a large group
>>2840261what if i want to take some lessons abroad with cute tutor, but i share my hotel room with bro (literal brother). I can either ask him to leave the premise for the time of lesson but once the bro told me would also like to take a lesson, what then? Awkward
>>2840242What exactly did you fail? What has gone wrong? Why are you not satisfied?
Okay fine then, try traveling with other people and see how much happier you feel then.
>>2840261what if you travel with a good friend (male) and while you are traveling it blossoms into love?
>>2840312avoid anything orange or red
>>2840313so if I travel to those countries, and I'm checking into a hotel, and I show up with another man, and I ask for a room with one bed, what would they do?
>>2840242I have never traveled with anyone. Can't imagine having to ask a femoid where to go or what to eat daily.
ILOVETRAVELING ALONE TO EUROPE
>meetup with friends from back home since 8 month traveler each year>meetup with friends taking vacations in Europe or AsiaEVERY TIME>budget is way too low because they bought a ton of useless stupid shit to prep>ask them what kinda food they want it's always basic bitch items/chains>budget is fucked because they booked some retarded ass hotel or forgot trains cost more than 10 dollars>it's another european forgot to dress for Asia's summers again and gets heatstroke>tell them I want to go do X "OKAY MAN I'LL COME WITH YOU" they are obviously bored>gets too drunk way too fast and then expects it to act like back home
I only ever travel abroad with my brothers and dad to visit family, or my sister to Japan. The former is alright, since they carry their own weight, and we bring the party too. My sister is pretty ok for the most part, aside the part asking me to take a piss every thirty minutes, but still good company, would travel with her again.Even with all that, I still prefer traveling alone, I enjoy the peace of mind and tranquility without worrying about anyone else (and I can hook up easier)
I wish I had another gay male to travel with. Anyone wanna come with? But you have to go where I say to..but I have good taste.
>>2840350Are you a cute smooth bottom?
>>2840351fuck off pedophile
>>2840242Who tf are you supposed to travel with? If you say 'your gf', you are retarded (and most likely a roastie) and your opinion should immediately be discarded
>>2840353Ew a hairy man
>>2840242Oh no no no no, whenever people say solo travel is fun they should put a fat asterisk after it which says it is fun but only if you are a chad, if you are some average or subaverage dude then it'll not be nearly as fun as they describe it just a meh experience.
>>2840548I'm an incel and I still have fun solo traveling.Yes, it's often painful to see couples walking around and I sometimes come back to my hotel sad, but I still create fun memories overall.I think it's important to set the right expectations. If you go just expecting to see cool things, you'll have fun. If you go expecting to get laid, you're setting yourself up for disaster
>>2840242I did once.It was only bad if I didn't stay busy or tried to relive my previous city-life by getting drunk at locals bars and whatnot. When I kept busy, did actual tourist stuff, saw the sights, it was great. Also, first proper vacation I've ever had and now I get it. 5+ days of only leisure, novel experiences, and treating yourself really does help you reset and be more focused when you get back.
>>2840314Oh, there'll be a surcharge on that room for being gay for sure.
>>2840251/thread
>>2840641cuz men are more satisfying to talk to and be close to than women are, even without the tranny/twink coping
Just so you guys know, if your traveling solo most people will assume you are doing it to take it up the ass.
>>2840552How is it ever painful to see couples while traveling. At least 50% look miserable and the gf is fatter than all the local girls....
>>2840251Yeah if you’re Chad. If you’re ugly or set off incel radars no one will want to talk to you. You will get more lonely than at home pretty fast
>>2840350h-hey
>>2841301Majority are normal good looking people. Also there's all the girls without bfs that I'll never get to talk to because I'm not chad
>>2840242>Travel alone to Japan>Go out drinking alone every night>Always meet tourists who are cool as fuck and we hang out>Met a Canadian girl at a bar and fucked her several times over the months I was there>Make loads of JP friends who enjoy practising their English and listening to me fail at Japanese>Every time I saw them at the bar, they'd be like "TOMODACHI!!!">Travel to tons of cities and fly to the Okinawa Islands like Ishigaki and see the most blue clear waters I've ever seen in my life>Eat the most amazing food dailyDamn, skill issue I guess OP?
>>2841767>>2841767Alex, I'll take 'shit that never actually happened' for $100
>>2841768>Alex, I'll take 'shit that never actually happened' for $100Why is that so hard to believe? Just because you are a social retard doesn't mean everyone else is. Walk into any bar drunk in Golden Gai (tourist haven) and you'll make friends.
>>2841768his trip doesn't sound that unrealistic>hooks up with fat canadian weeb twice in several months being there>meets a few Japanese alcoholics that like speaking english when drunk>gets JR pass multiple times to visit a few cities aimlessly>flies to Okinawa to get some beach pics for family & socials so it lowers the perceived autismhonestly that's a pretty average 4chan trip
>>2841777You tried your best at making it sound negative anon. Seethe and cope I guess!
I'm about to do 5+ months solo in a country where I don't even speak the language. I am totally fucked, bros.
>>2841778>at making it sound negativeit's notand wasn't my intentionthat anon obviously had a good timejust to show that even though it reads like from a social butterflyit could as well be an more average /trv/ experienceand not necessarily an outlier
>>2841782Most normies who travel to Japan don't do half the shit I did lol. Saying it's an average experience it's a bit tone deaf
>>2841780>5+ months solo>in a country where I don't even speak the language>I am totally fucked, bros.nahbut what are you doing here then?start learning!within the Indo-European languages you can get to basic conversation in 1-2months for most languages and 3-6months to B2 level / fluency, faster with full immersionalso in my experience you'll always meet more foreigners than localsexcept when you specifically search for and go to spots with less tourists
>>2841785>Most normies who travel to Japan don't do half the shit I didlike what? what would other solo travelers not do?>hooking up?that's like half the solo travel experience>befriending locals at some izakaya?a bit more uncommon, but if you speak a little Japanese in no capacity rare>traveling with the JR passthat's literally one of the most discussed topics inn any Japan travel forum>going to Okinawaliterally everyone who stays in Japan for longer than a few weeks goes thereagain, I don't doubt that you've had a great timebut it's nothing out of the ordinary for a multi month Japan trip
>>2841787Normies dont even touch izakayas. They stick to tourist-friendly places like Ichiran. Or if they want to drink, they go to HUB instead of going to 新時代 新宿 because they don't know how to speak Japanese.
>>2841786I'm already enrolled in a language school to help me learn and hopefully make some friends.
>>2841773>I'm not a social retard guys. where do you think you are?
Extended solo travel is a litmus test to see if your brain is rotted or if you are even capable of existing on your own. If you can't be on your own exploring a foreign country for a week without getting depressed you should probably seek therapy. Stop comparing yourself to others and enjoy your surroundings. Be open to new ideas, new experiences and new people and they will happen Don't sulk about when it doesn't though.
Normally I solo travel and it's great since I can just do whatever I want and change plans as needed. A group of my friends invited me to a trip in Italy this fall and I figured why not. First time over there, should be fun and with group it's probably safer for a non-native right? Instead, we get there, rented car and everything and then these fuckers slept in nearly every fucking day. Not just like an hour or two, these fuckers slept in until like noon and shit on some of the days. Half the fucking day gone. Then when they would get up most of them didn't want to leave the house we had and instead just played games and browsed on their phones. Like what the fuck. More than half the trip was basically wasted. I felt like I just blew my money into the air for nothing. On the last few days of it I just straight up took the keys to our rented car and went out on my own then they had the fucking gull to bitch at me for going out alone. Never again. They are cool guys back at home, but I will never travel with them or anyone else again.
>>2841782Obviously it's not some instagram perfect time. Getting drunk with the locals and porking slam pigs is a good authentic experience though. I'm glad anon had that experience. Getting away and being able to really be a full degen is a breath of fresh air.
>>2841725h-hi are you also flamboyant (plz b yes)?the problem is most guys fetishize you acting flamerish but those guys aren't flamerish themselves and sort of see you as an object and only want "twinks"
Before starting a family solo travel is awesome because you* always find a fuck buddy that’ll drink with me, show me around and spread her holes. Don’t care about making friends, or the other extreme of paying for sex. Passport bros are 100% right. *You are white, fit and not a manlet.
>>2841773>Walk into any bar drunk in Golden Gai (tourist haven) and you'll make friends.Based
>>2841797>already enrolled in a language schoolawesome>hopefully make some friendseither thereor try a "tandem" language learning appdid this for Mandarin a few years agomet a guy my age from near chengduwent to visit him like 2 years later (after covid opening)and earlier this year he visit me, great times
>>2840242If tou can't enjoy your own company,I feel sorry for you
>travel with friend >mention they should build a list of things to do so they can >Yeah for sure anon! I got tons of my own shit to do!>get to place>act like they are attached at my hip 24/7>always the third wheel, always dissing places to eat as "too expensive" or "I dunno anon let's just get <thing easy to grab back home>", is suddenly money strapped, or can't into bar vibe like back homeBe thankful to travel alone. I have no idea what it is exactly, but it seems like all my friends go full retard mode IQ .001 seconds after getting to our destination.
>>2842344I'm a 100% with you on this one, Anon.Traveling with other people always leads to compromise because they don't have the same interests and budget as you. It gets worse when you have mismatched personnalities. Like imagine having to drag an anxious introvert 24/7 who doesn't want to talk the locals and do unplanned/unusual stuff. Just stays inside the hotel watching youtube videos and go out once or twice to the most famous landmarks/tourist traps of the country. Why bother.
Traveling solo is great Anon! You get to do the things that only YOU want. Destination that aren't shared by normies are suddenly on the table. You don't have to put water in your wine ever. So unless you have close friends who exactly align with you on everything, traveling solo will be the best option for you.Traveling with a gf is not that bad either, you just gotta accept that it's not going to be an "adventure", more like a vacation. It HAS to be to places that people know about, that are very instagramable for social media clout. And also safe, because you don't want brown hands touching your gf. It looks like this:>Wake up, have sex>Stay in bed for like 2 hours while she scrolls on her phone, posting travel pics.>Go to a cafe because breakfast stops at 9 am in hotels> Take 54857458 pics of her at typical touristic spot> Spend the rest the day at the beach with her while she's on her phone>Pasta/seafood at expensive place with good view in the evening.>Sex again at the hotel.>Repeat this every day for weeks.
>>2842788>god I wish that were meas a virgin retard this sounds like paradise desu
>>2840242
>>2840242yeah if u arent gregarious, extraverted, and charismatic or funny u should not do this
>>2840242just been on pseudo solo travel for the first time - first couple of days were with friends, bit over a week solo as we couldn't find dates that fit us all - so not a great sample size, but I think it can definitely be greatI feel like you have to treat it differently than traveling with someone though just typical sightseeing and going from spot to spot is 1000% more boring alone if you're in a city, can't imagine and didn't even try going to a bar or club alone eitherbut in the nature I felt relaxed/free in a way I never did before also even if you're not an extrovert, you just meet people passively since they are way more likely to start up an conversation when you're alone, rather than already talking with people in a language they don't know (prob. depends on the country though, as Thais were really friendly either way, but definitely noticed a big difference when i was alone)really enjoyed going on few guided tours in that time too made me really excited to try a normal solo travel next year actually
>>2844086as a virgin retard this sounds like hell
