Where to travel with waifu and my 2 years old son? Thing is we are both a bit of weebs and basically traveled to Japan the whole last decade. Every year and always around 3 weeks. Yet, we still aren't bored of it and always find new things to discover. Also because it's so convenient, safe, clean and we can just be there without worrying about shit. Even with our son last year it was such a pleasure because you could find diaper change stations everywhere. Also good quality baby food. But sometimes, just sometimes, I wonder wether we should visit some other places. I've never been to those amazing beaches like in the Seychelles or Thailand. I'm also interested in the US overall (Florida, NYC, LA, Las Vegas and Hawaii of course). It seems there are many friendly people and I love burgers.

As we are from Germany we could also just jump on a quick flight and go to London, Rome, Paris, etc. but all of it is just another European place that feels as grim as Germany and not really like escaping reality for some weeks. Would you do another Japan next year or can you recommend great alternatives that also are easy with a child?

the child makes it a bit more difficult, the most rewarding places wont be easy with a kid. that said, the US has great child infrastructure so it might be time to check that out. i have heard nothing but positive things about thailand and it is on my list, but seems a bit more crazy than japan

SoKo might be good. Lots of parks and kiddy shit. You could also head down to Jeonju or the countryside and chill out in a traditional style house, rent old school clothes and do some family portraits while gorging on pork belly. Vietnam would also be a good option. Loads to do, cheap transportation, and food for days. Cities also have lots going on that the kiddo might find interesting. You could also allow you wife to have a quiet nigtht in while you go out for the cheapest beer in the world.

Taiwan is basically a Chinese version of Japan

Stay home and raise him properly you stupid German fuck. And stay out of Japan, you guys are the worst tourists.

I'd argue it's the Australians. I thought they were very pleasant when I was in Perth on business but as soon as they leave their prison island it's like they become completely different people.

Have a look at Malaysia. Probably better than Thailand for young children. You can still do the beaches, you can go to Malaysian Borneo and see some amazing wildlife, but you've also got infrastructure in places like KL, and lots of options for food.
