I really want the magical 90s Christmas experience. Whats the best malls that still do this for Christmas?
>>2841991>I'm easily entertained by bright lights, loud noises and glass casesAre you a baby or what? Imagine idealizing socialized consumption. Peak bugman/onions core
>>2841991Big city department stores
>>2841991Asian ones
>>2842029Which ones
>>2842001Saying stuff like this only makes you sound like an insufferable faggot. It doesn't make you sound cool or mature.
>>2841991Why the fuck do you retards love malls? They were always crap.>>2842053Malls suck. You suck for liking them.
>>2841991got a time machine? you're gonna need one
This thread exposes the travelets who never left the anglosphere
>>2842049You're familiar with AEON, right?
Not malls, but it's related so I'll ask here. What the actual point of Christmas markets? Other than just looking pretty sometimes, why do people travel to them? Do they just sell Christmas decorations and cookies there? How is it different from just going to my local department store?
>>2842112To engage in authentic German Christmas culture? At least they keep the spirit of Christmas somewhat alive, it's not half as commercialized as in the US
>>2842053>make you sound cool or mature.Like wanting to walk around a shopping mall with lights and jingle bells? Oh yeah ok lol. You better have a little kid with you but you're surely too much of a loser to have any children.
>>2842001>I don't like lights and soundsOP may be a baby, but at least he isn't autistic like you.
>>2842127And you are deeply ignorant of what's going on at a more fundamental level.Malls literally train you to confuse the rich and complex nature of human relationships with the banality of passive consumption. You begin to associate the fulfillment of having rewarding relationships with something as pedestrian as shopping.I know because I was like that once. As a teenager I was mesmerized by the illusion of affluence afforded by the trappings of malls. I thought they were cool places to hang out.The illusion was shattered when I went to a mall as an adult.Malls are incredibly cold, sterile and lifeless places. All the richness of the human experience is sapped out and replaced with sterile consumption.Only a child or a fool would want to waste money to travel for the explicit purpose of experiencing something as empty and inauthentic as staring at lights and glass cases. What's even worse, OP wants a SIMULATION of the "90s Christmas experience".He'll never get the real thing so he wants the next best thing, which is a sterile simulation of an already sterile experience. At least bazaars and Christmas markets retain the social element, making them much more authentic experiences.
>>2842121You missed your chanceLots of them have been canceled for security reasons and the rest are being violently protested by the new owners of Germany
>>2842112good grief you sound like a robot that is trying to understand humans>>2842029pretty much this. several asian countries have a big mall culture and they go completely overboard at christmas.i live in malaysia and the big malls are completely covered in christmas stuff. of course it is completely a commercial thing in this country where christians are a tiny minority but everyone loves it. it's also a bit weird to have fake snow, reindeer, snowmen etc all over the place when it's like 30 celsius outside but that's malaysia for yasunway pyramid, gardens, ioi city and the rest all usually have a pretty good displayi'm usually a bit of a grumpy sod about christmas but when you see a bunch of cute chinese girls in ra ra skirts and snowman jumpers dancing around and miming to when the red red robin comes bob bob bobbing along you can't help but get caught up in it a bit
>>2841991Some malls had giant animatronic talking Christmas trees meant to terrify little kids so the parents could laugh at their horror. Those were good times. Malls don't do psychotic shit like that anymore.
