Has anyone actually travelled here before? It seems like it used to be a somewhat popular destination for Australian hikers and trekkers until recently but I can't find too much information online about what it's like there. I found some information about the Kokoda track hike but from a long time ago.From what I've seen there's basically zero government control outside of the capital city and nobody really knows what goes on in the hinterland. There are some cities in the highlands/interior that have swelling populations like Mt Hagen but nobody outside actually knows how many people live there. That seems crazy to me.
