RIP Six Flags America Edition

>Last Thread: >>2835600

>What is this thread? Why are there two generals?
/rcg/ was initially created as a way for the roller coaster enthusiasts on here to discuss all things roller coasters and theme parks. While roller coasters are the main focus of these threads (and the title of the general) there is also discussion on other theme parks, their rides, as well as the parks themselves and trip planning too. That's where /tpg/ comes in.
>Can I talk about Disney/Universal parks in this thread?
Absolutely! Disney/Universal discussion of all sorts including rides/resorts/dining/trip planning is OK.

Seems really unlikely to be anything other than Zelda but it is weird we've not heard much concrete on this area yet. Are Universal becoming less leaky? Is Disneyland Paris going to take the crown of being the leakiest?
>>
>>2844592
Universal has never really been leaky. Their "leaks" are just publicly submitted documents to the state of Florida and shipping manifests from coaster manufacturers. Only actual leak I've ever seen from Uni was the construction worker that posted a video from inside of ministry during construction, but we already knew about the ride at that point. The nintendoland leak happened like years after the pitch was approved by nintendo when it was already known info.

Best chance at a leak is UCs walking around the parks yapping it up.

The DCA Avatar-Land is gonna be based on Way of Water and Fire and Ash. Disney is developing animatronics that can swim for it.

At disneyland paris at the moment. The night show really is incredible and theyre getting better and better at integrating drones.

Park was pretty quiet BTM never went past 30 mins (did it twice in a row at the end of the extra magic hour). Heres hoping the star wars land rumoured for the castle park happens, park desperately needs a new ride and a "family+" ride would fit in well (especially as kids turned away for indy will be able to ride)

Universal actually has a bunch of concepts for lands based on DC Comics and Looney Tunes from the development and cancelation of Cartoon World (Which became Islands), so it would be cool to see that stuff brought back. The Indoor/Outdoor batcoaster especially. Toon Lagoon was originally going to be a whole Looney Tunes area and Marvel was going to be DC.

Maybe if WB didnt make dumb financial decisions like opting for Six Flags over Universal they wouldn't be for sale right now
>>

Historical revisionism.
Song of the South was one of Disney's most common theatrical re-releases
>1946
>1956
>1972
>1973
>1986
>1989
The final release was to promote the ride.
Up until that point everyone recognized it for what it was:
An Oscar-worthy performance by Hames Baskett bringing the Uncle Remus of southern folklore to life with beautiful animated sequences, great music, but held back from perfection by the child actors and mid-tier live action plot.

They're a mere step up, let's be real. And when they announce things they do get posted here. Disney and Universal just have way more going on every year and are travel destinations which is the entire reason this general exists on this board anyways.

mardi gras tribute is the only one I've ever been to but it was really fun. sad they still have fun stores while disney has nothing but outlet mall tier experiences now. mousegear used to be one of my favorite places in all of disney world
>>
>>2845537
Universal goes a bit nuts with their tribute stores and I'm not entirely sure how the Mardi Gras one turns a profit for them given the level of detail. They do like a story you walk through. This past year was a cryptid museum that led into the swamp with a skunk ape. Before that was based on a haunted riverboat that crashed into the swamp.

It's basically a HHN house you shop in.
>>
>>2845459
Are you saying your post is historical revisionism? Because that’s the only way it makes sense. The controversy at its release is well documented, and Disney himself did a ton of preemptive damage control with it before it was even finished.
>>
>>2845257
Drones are a really cool addition to park shows, but it sucks that they are even more reliant on weather conditions than fireworks already are.
>tfw went to DLP for three days and they cancelled the Disney Electrical Sky Parade every single day
>>
>>2845615
Thats a shame, the show does a lot now to make it enjoyable if the drones arent on or if youre miles from the castle on mainstreet, its all well integrated and no one element gets the focus. Still need to try and clamp down on people who hold their phones above their head or put kids on shoulders instead of hold the at head level.

Did rope drop this morning and the only rides they opened were peter pan, big thunder mountain and star tours. Bit of a waste. Did pirates shortly before fireworks and we managed to get a whole boat to ourselves which was kino

Also Universal is a ghost town since Epic took the already diminished post-holiday crowds. Literally every ride was a walk on all day. Hagrids hit 50 minutes.

Early Dec and Early Nov are the sleeper weeks for no crowds. Do not let this info leave this general or it will become the new September and January where everyone thinks there will be no crowds and create the crowds.

Thoughts:

>Still a building site which is a bit understandable but it's been like that for several years now and I'm not sure that'll end when Adventure World 'opens'
>The new Adventure world entrance way is a bit less comfy but it's better overall, more space and a better quality food place with more seating. Plus when you get out you see a straight path to the lake and Frozen along a nicely decorated street. As laughable as it taking 6 years to build a low capacity clone and two spin rides is, it will look really good at least.
>Pirates, Phantom Manor (is the gravedigger stuff new? Don't remember it) and Big Thunder Mountain are best versions of the classic rides in my view.
>Disneyland needs some fresh rides, the Star Wars expansion/coaster would be a massive boost if they build it
>Disney Studios will end its life/name never having been a full park. Closing ratatouille highlighted just how little there is in the park. Once the Lion King is open I would say it will finally be a full day park.
>Hunters Grill is nice, Remy's is really nice. Outside of that, the food is shit. I had a special donut and it was both stale and not fully defrosted (why the fuck aren't these baked on the day for the price?). Pym's lab is a wasted food concept (you can have a small burger and if there had been anyone to serve it, a slice of giant burger and a disgusting looking dirty flask where you can pour out some watery blue custard, that's about all the theming)
>>
Went to Knott's Berry Farm over Thanksgiving. Was the shittiest experience. It was being in a goddamned refugee crisis where everything was a line that queued for over 60+ minutes. hilarious considering disney's track record on construction timelines. though i still wonder why the fuck eisner cared about Viper
>>
>>2846001
Eisner is a secret masochist
>>
>>2846001
Eisner built a lot of white knuckle rides during his time. French Space Mountain, Indiana Jones (the rollercoaster one) RoRC, Twilight Zone, California Screaming. He wanted to get Disney attracting a wider ranger of guests so it makes sense he was a bit envious of SF. There was a lot of mixed feelings about these at the time because Disney never wanted to have rides that were too much for Children.

Disney do need to sort out their build times badly though. 6 years for Frozen Land is a joke. Here's hoping they can get the Lion King open for 2027

This kinda highlights how hard Disney need to work if they're to get to 20m a year at Paris by 2030 to get automatically awarded the land for a third park. Disney studios currently hits 5m a year (they only measure the attendence of the first park you enter and there's a shitload of park hopping done so the figures are a bit skewed).

Can they ramp up attendance by 30% in 5 years?
>>
>>2846011
The new Universal park in the UK is going to eat Paris' lunch. Paris is old, tacky, and offers nothing new.
>>
>>2846014
It's a good 5-6 years away though.

Also the chance they re-open the eurostar to Marne le Valle route and you can take the train from the doorstop of Universal to the doorstop of Disney (with only a single changed needed). Hoping that Universal makes the UK more of a theme park destination and Alton Towers, Thorpe Park etc. all get boosts.
>>
>>2846015
Should factor into Disney triggering a 3rd park, though. Execs might think 'fuck' our customerbase is going to be halved in 10 years and we won't get ROI.

A Disney vs Universal war of huge investment in Europe could be a double win, like the Oppenheimer vs Barbie marketing. If Disney don't respond, the park will basically crumble into a Chessington-tier kids park.

It would be a HUGE failure for the UK if it didn't happen; it's part of a strategic nation-level investment plan.

There's a new railway being built connecting Oxford to Milton Keynes to Bedford (Universal) to Cambridge as part of some 'tech corridor'.

The UK is investing massively into film and media, and the whole area is effectively the home of film in the UK. The Universal Park is like a capstone to trigger growth and development.
>>
>>2846009
I've said this before but it's insane that Nintendo wanted their rides to be low capacity while being in the 3rd most visited park on the planet

>>
I went to Six Flags America when I was kid with my cousins. It was called Wild World back then. We were swimming in the wave pool and my aunt walks by. My mom yells over to her "Hey Patty, you should come in the pool and swim with us!" Patty yells back "I'm not getting in the pool with all those niggers". Literally hundreds of black people heard her. Later that day, my mom got into an argument with a black lady who tried to steal our rafts. We had our names written on them in black marker and she still tried to take them until mom threatened to call the cops. I remember that the wave pool have a thick sheen of oil on it when they cleared the pool for a break.

There was a pirate ship with nets where you could climb around. The netting was old and gray and you could climb up really high. My cousin was huge, not fat, just really big. He snapped the net and fell through to the safety net.

If Uni does acquire at least the theme park rights from WB, I think the obvious move is a 4th park basically ripping off Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi. Indoor park would be a smart move for Orlando cause the heat in the Florida summer is pretty brutal.

Also gives you a place for the inevitable Horror Unleashed Orlando location, as well as a place for:
Stranger Things
FNAF
Other smaller horror IPs that couldn't really carry their own land at the big parks.

It also unifies Wicked and Wizard of Oz and locks down Potter forever until HBO fucks up public opinion of the IP

It's simultaneously very impressive from a design stand point but mediocre in terms of what you spend 90% of the ride doing. Unless you can maintain shallow and deep focus simultaneously you will either be ignoring the animatronics in the ride or the game due to the AR gimmick.

It's not worth 90 minutes to ride.

In 2000, 2 guys robbed Six Flags America after the busiest weekend of the year. After the park closed, they went into the back office and held the manager at gunpoint and walked out with $300,000 in cash without hurting anyone. A far as I know, they never caught the dudes. It was one of the largest cash heists in US history and it was never solved and no one ever talks about it. My wife worked their at that time.

How do we eradicate this type of theme park guest?
>>
Netflix bought WB for 82.7 billion

https://www.cnbc.com/2025/12/05/neflix-warner-bros-discovery-deal.html

That gives them control over:

DC Universe, Harry Potter / Wizarding World, Game of Thrones, Looney Tunes, Scooby-Doo, The Lord of the Rings (film rights), The Matrix, Cartoon Network originals (Adventure Time, etc.), Rick and Morty (Adult Swim), Mortal Kombat, Tom & Jerry, The Flintstones, The Jetsons, Dexter’s Laboratory, Powerpuff Girls, King Kong (film rights), Godzilla (U.S. MonsterVerse rights), The Conjuring Universe, Mad Max, Gremlins, Friends, The Big Bang Theory, The Sopranos, True Detective, Westworld, It (Stephen King film rights), The Shining (film rights), Casablanca, Gossip Girl, Supernatural, etc

What this means for Universal as far as putting the IPs in the park is unclear.
>>
>>2846178
I never go to a theme park without fast pass. It’s not worth it. I rope drop and stay until close and always ride every single ride at least once, and then reride however many times I want. It’s not that expensive, usually less than $150 bucks

>>
>>2846189
Explain to me the benefit of spending the majority of your day at a park standing in a damn line?
>>
>>2846190
We've gone over this before but provably fast passes artificially blow up wait times to create the problem they then offer a solution to at exorbitant prices. If fast passes didn't exist the wait times across the board would be much lower because the normal line and FP line feed into the same loading station slowing down the normal line whatever % depending on their loading operations (but always intentionally blown up to sell the pass)

And I know your response to this will be "Well that's not my problem" which is true and what the companies want you to feel, but at the end of the day, its an egregiously jewish business practice. They've just monetized line cutting and turned regular park admission (already $100+) into the third class tickets on the titanic.

Their incentive is to create even more of these inconveniences they can then offer solutions to for lots of money. Same psychology as those F2P mobile games that place artificial timers on game actions then offer IAPs to bring the timer to zero. Just picture yourself getting railed by a rabbi wearing a strap on the next time you pay double park admission to do the rides you already paid money to do. That's a pretty accurate analogy for the business deal.
>>
>>2846192
Salient point. Are there parks that don’t offer fast pass and are their operations faster and more efficient? I think Cedar Point doesn’t but I’m not sure. It would be good to have a comparison
>>
File: florida state.png (180 KB, 1009x1012)

>>2846195
Well you can do comparisons with Universal because their new rides are initially excluded from Express. When Velocicoaster first came out it would hover around the 25-30 minute mark, but after getting added to express it's normal to see it hover at 45-60. They doubled the wait time, intentionally.

As for a park that doesn't do fast passes, I doubt there is one. Even state fairs and carnivals with just flat rides have started doing this because there is a percentage of the population that has no problem whatsoever paying out the ass to wait in a 10 minute line over a 20 minute line, turning a 15 minute line into a 30 minute line.
>>
There is a very interesting point that Six Flags has in the past year given up rights to use DC/Looney Tunes IPs in Florida (as they have no park there), which is added to their current non-usage in Vegas
It is very possible Six Flags keep these and Universal buys the Florida theme park rights

I blame both. If I was AG of Florida I would outlaw the practice under already existing dynamic pricing laws. Same way price gouging is outlawed during hurricanes. It's an anti-consumer blind spot and deceptive trade practice. A distortion of advertised experiences (“short waits,” etc., become materially misleading when the parks themselves engineer longer standby waits to upsell the paid line. They also frequently sell fast passes on off days by lying about their necessity so people are standing in longer lines with the fast pass than they would with standby. It's also a coerced purchase which is illegal. Their argument is pay more or your day is made worse.

I'd swag so hard on these jews It'd be another shoah

I've posted in this general before that the Star Wars Hotel was actually a very good idea just executed in the worst possible way. If Universal actually made a Harry Potter Hotel and scrapped the gay LARP shit and just focused on making a cool area to walk through with a heavily themed room it would be a slam dunk.

You'd go in there and be sorted into a room with a small ceremony where your kid or embarrassing childless adult wears the sorting hat and gets placed into a wing themed to one of the 4 houses. You eat food in a 1:1 recreation of the great hall. Some other exclusive experiences like a bar themed to Snape's potions class or an indoor pool themed to the prefect's bathroom. Could easily charge 500$/night for that.
>>
>>2846249
In the long run more competition to Disney/Universal theme parks will emerge and supply and demand will return to equilibrium. But theme parks are big projects and this will take a while to happen.

Also Disney and Universal will themselves expand their capacity, which also brings up supply.
Universal just opened a new park in the US and they are going to open another one in six months.

I wasn't suggesting it be anything beyond a super detailed heavily themed hotel. I said scrap the gay LARP shit. The only LARP aspect would be putting you in a room, but that would be like olivanders little show. Just a quick little gimmick. Not even necessary. No roaming characters or interactions beyond referring to hotel guests as students just like they do in the park.

Oh okay.

But making a whole themed dining experience exclusive to hotel guests doesn't sound great to me. Not even from a greedy business perspective. Maybe making something exclusive could get more money, but so could expanding the customer base by not requiring it to be bundled with the hotel.

But idk
>>
>>2846278
>But making a whole themed dining experience exclusive to hotel guests doesn't sound great to me.

It works fine for disney hotels and restaurants. They all offer their unique breakfast with characters options and it's part of the selling point of that specific hotel/restaurant. So if your daughter is obsessed with Ariel you have to go to the specific hotel or restaurant that has Ariel. People will pay for this shit cause that's what good parents do.

Parks I went to this year as a CA enthusiast and a pithy comment for each:

>Disneyland: A single day here is the best value in all of theme parks. You heard me.

>DCA: This year I finally made peace with Mission Breakout replacing Tower of Terror.

>Knott's Berry Farm: Wasn't going to renew but then they threw in the all-parks for free. Shrug.

>SF Magic Mountain: This pace is filthy, much of the staff is borderline retarded and the management is a bunch of dirty motherfuckers, but I love the lineup.

>CA Great America: I would have called it a promising park if there were any hope of it staying open.

>SF Discovery Kingdom: I have no idea how I ended up visiting two years in a row, but it's growing on me.

>SF Fiesta Texas: Feels a little more well cared for than the typical Six Flags park and Iron Rattler is short but sweet.

>SeaWorld San Antonio: I visited on Memorial Day and it was walk-ons all afternoon. Is this park okay?

>Epcot: A park playing host to a civil war between the old and the new. Tied for best park of our Florida trip, and not just for the new stuff.

>Magic Kingdom: wtf are you doing to this place Disney

>Hollywood Studios: Welcome to the clone zone.

>Animal Kingdom: Three good rides and bounce.

>Epic Universe: My most anticipated park of the trip, and by far the worst day of the trip.

>Universal Studios Florida: I never predicted I would have ridden E.T. four times in a row, but here we are.

>Islands of Adventure: No words, shoulda sent a poet, yadda yadda yadda. Tied for best park of our Florida trip.

>SeaWorld Orlando: You need to jump through as many hoops as the dolphins do just to ride a fucking coaster.

>Busch Gardens Tampa: Brazilians everywhere made me think it was going to be two hour lines all day but then they all suddenly disappeared and I walked on everything.

That's 17 parks, 11 of them new. 2026 is going to finally be Cedar Point and Kings Island.

>Epic Universe: My most anticipated park of the trip, and by far the worst day of the trip.
Damn, what happened?
>>

The Japanese really love Harry Potter.

It's semi-isekai, appeals to normies and is British as fuck.
>>
>>2846427
Not him but I can confidently predict the length of the lines. Same complaint everyone has about Epic and why the HP expansion is being fast-tracked.

>>2846389
It's the only complete land without glaring issues even if I found Wing Gliders to be a tad underwhelming (cuts off right as the flying starts)

It has a really great pacing to it though. As you navigate the land, you are always encountering new dragons or small interactive things. The premise is "we have dragons" and it delivers on that premise every 40 or so steps.

Darkmoor is frontloaded with all of the interesting stuff being crammed within the first part up until the mansion. The pathways that lead to COTWW and Burning Blade are just trees and the premise of "monsters" kinda drops off.
SNW also has poor pacing because it's an enochlophobics worst nightmare. It's pretty but you're a bit distracted dodging the other guests as they scramble up the stairs you are descending. HPW is probably the second best paced land. Great reveal and great presentation but until they put a ride on the right side, it feels unbalanced. Berk feels like it spent the longest time being developed without any stupid choices holding it back.
>>
What land would you put in Super Disney Adventure 3D World once the Lion King is built?
>>
>>2846493
Song Of The South
>>
>>2846493
Hard to say. Of course it'll be mandated IP, so with the current success of Zootopia 2 that would seem like a good choice (although it would be disappointing to likely get ANOTHER land copied from another park). It should be something completely unique like the Lion King land to draw in more people. I think the ideal would be something like Fantasy Springs that can incorporate two or three different IP, but I feel like they want to go all in on the single IP immersive lands. I honestly wouldn't mind another Star Wars one, but a brand new one that can fix some of the mistakes of Galaxy's Edge. I'd rather they built the rumored speeder coaster there instead of adding more Star Wars to Discoveryland.
It's a moot point anyways since it's all but confirmed to be another Avatar land, which is one of the lamest things they could've chosen. I hope at the very least it's a brand new land based on the third movie.
>>
>>2846516
The rumour is that the Mandalorian coaster would turn the back of the park with Star Tours into a dedicated Star Wars section which makes a lot of sense, especially as Star Tours (and philharmagic) are really hidden away in a corner, you could easily isolate it, retheme, and add an entrance from discovery land and Mainstreet.

Avatarland makes a lot of sense given it's a very popular ride and there's no other flying theatre. What makes it seem less likely is that Adventure World apparently has fairly strict line of sight restrictions which could make it an issue at the edge of the park as Pandora is about 10m taller than the Frozen mountain.

Not sure a Zootopia clone would happen, the ride is too similar to Ratatouille (although it's better in almost every way).

Going to Japan I was able to ride both Jaws at USJ and Splash Mountain at TDL. I've never been able to ride these two rides in their original forms in the US parks, but riding them here made me retroactively upset they got rid of them in the first place. Both are absolute top tier classics.

Multiple breakdowns while in line, including two while in the loading station for Mine Cart Madness and Battle at the Ministry. For Ministry, they cleared the queue and kicked everyone out. Tried to see the dragon show at three different showtimes but all three were cancelled. Stardust Racers was running at reduced capacity in July.

I'm still glad I went and experienced it but goddamn.

to break up the continuous discussion of non-stop disney/universal, I went to Drayton Manor for their Christmas season - all rides (except the water rides) are open. No queues and a cheaper ticket. Not bad for what it is.
I cant understand why Thorpe Park doesnt offer weekend openings during winter. Being near Heathrow it will drop below freezing maybe two weeks of the year - sometimes it may not at all. That place on a Friday-Sunday 12noon to 7pm opening would be great

Figgy is still there
They made him a huge merchandise vessel in the park the last several years because they made a popcorn bucket that was the biggest merch drop for Disney in a decade.
There is always rumors they will restore the old ride or do a big revamp but then it never gets announced after a decade of this
There is confirmed work on a Figment film but it is not officially announced and is on/off production, if it ever gets made
So in short they keep teasing stuff but nothing ever happens
>>
>>2846840
I only ever see ridiculous queue times for Battle at the Ministry and Hagrids (IoA). Is it really just Potter autists? Would make sense since only autists will queue 4 hours
>>
>>2846919
Really good family rides get massive queues and sometimes the reputation for being a huge queued ride makes things worse (like with Peter Pan). It's not a coincidence that most of the worst queues in theme parks are family coasters: Crush's Coaster, Slinky Dog, 7D, Hagrids, Cosmic Rewind.

Will be interesting to see what Space Mountain at Tokyo will be like but I suspect it'll be a capacity monster. I would fear for the Monsters Inc coaster but I don't think they'd be spending all that money on the lift system if it didn't come with a large capacity. Probably will be massively popular though, just wish it was free swinging, don't know why The Vampire is the only family invert with it, despite it having custom bespoke post-arrow trains.
>>
Legoland's new multi-launch interactive indoor coaster will be open in Feb which is slightly insane. I know it's not going to be the same level as the big two in terms of theming but it's still frustrating seeing Merlin able build decent rides from scratch in 1/4 the time of Disney

Epcots original line up was so ahead of its fucking time. Kinda sucks that the past looks more like the future than the future we actually inherited. Screens were a mistake. The requirement that every prop and effect had to function in real three-dimensional space pushed engineers to create some genuinely impressive technology that stands up even now. That fusion of inventive problem-solving and ride design was always one of the most exciting things about theme parks. It was fake, but because it was happening and you were there to physically witness it, it didn't feel fake. You were really there and it was really happening and you were really part of it. Nothing was left to the imagination or required a suspension of disbelief.

>>
>>2846919
for both rides it's a combination of popularity and low capacity. the rumor is that Ministry is operating below capacity and those days where it has a shorter line are the days where they are actually running it well.

but most of the time even express pass is going to be a long wait. the play is to get there 1 hour before opening and ride it. it opens early for everyone.

the other play is to ride it before closing but the risk is that it goes down for the night.

Bluey coaster track is complete. I know rcg has been waiting for this.

Looks like it has a fast roller lift hill and a very long train so I'm guessing it'll be a multi-lap coaster which is pretty rare these days.
>>
>>2847274
So they're just slapping this little bitch on pretty much anything huh?

You'd think they'd shoot for a bluey dark ride at one of the better parks but they are behaving as if there's an expiration date on this show.
>>
>>2847278
Alton Towers is the biggest theme park in the UK. It's part of Cbeebies land which is a park-within-a-park designed specifically for very small kids and special needs kids, half playgroundm half fairground. All the rides are generally lightly themed, partially because of money but also because having half a dozen massively different heavily themed areas would be pretty bad. Also imagine the support the park has given Cbeebies makes them more happy to licence to them.

The Bluey coaster will overwhelmingly be the biggest licence in the area so it's probably reasonable to assume they'll put a bit more effort into the theming to boost merchandise sales but it's never going to be anything approaching Disney. It's still not going to be worse than Six Flags and DC, despite that being much bigger budget rides.

Here's a tour of Cbeebies, it's easy to see why < 7 year olds would love this area, despite it looking a bit cheap as an adult: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B7QMQNWqHug

merlin doing the old tactic of calling manufacturer and asking for a deal again. Similar rollercoaster at Chessington but its Paw Patrol themed. Bluey is undeniably the biggest kids IP and they slap it on a coaster that is bright fucking green and the main demographic for Bluey (toddlers) cant even ride it anyway. Shouldve been a ride even newborns can ride.
Disney have the rights to Bluey now in US, they'll show how its done (in 10 years)
>>
>>2847426
The themeing for that one looks a bit fun at least, they're adding a suspension bridge and the tower to it so it's not going to be a coaster in a gravel pit with card cutouts

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0QY3tZdYdvY
>>
Do you think that to one-up Universal using Nintendo for theme park shit, Disney will do some theme park shit of random videogame shit too? If so, what?
Imo, they'd probably just do Kingdom Hearts, but it'd be funny if they also made a deal with Square Enix to do theme park rides of other SQEX games too
Imagine a FF7 ride where Sephiroth tries to kill the riders
Or a DQ dark ride
>>
>>2847452
Even if they did do a KH ride, they wouldn't include the FF characters as they don't actually have the rights to them (unlike Sora & co) and it would be easier just avoiding the licencing issues.

The villains area seems like it's going to be a crossover area that's going to tick a lot of the boxes that KH would. Will still find it a bit disappointing if the main ride is just a bramble themed multi-launch family coaster, doesn't feel like it's needed in a park that has Tron. Seems every Disney location is getting a bog standard multi-launch intamin at the moment, they're fun but... they're getting a bit over-saturated.

Disney's treatment of the Marvel IPs (aside from Cosmic Rewind) has been embarrassing.

Having the most popular superhero having a Midway Mania clone was such an odd decision. The avengers ride is going to be using the Peter-Pan (Tokyo) ride system which has been left in the dust by the latest gen Universal tech.
