Is China as good as all the vloggers make it out to be? It seems in the past 3 years there's been an influx in people shilling for China and it has be interested.

China is great fun. Some annoying things, but generally a kino /trv/ experience.

God shit the fuck up and just fuck off.
These vloggers influencers blah blah fucking god damn

China has always had great things to see.
Quality of life for its citizens is another thing though

Because china opened up "visa free" entry over the 72hr transit visa they had previously. Euros can go for like 30 days, Americans for 10, and so on. China's government has also drastically put funding into influencers to promote tourism as a new bigger market.

Unironically just go to HK or Taiwan for taste in China-lite mode; if you can't get engaged in those places you won't be engaged in China
>inb4 random rural China top of mountain picture of something
HK and Taiwan are good first starters because if you can't deal with the local vibes there, you won't do well in mainland. If you're not an influencer you're not going to get any special treatment.
>>
Reminder that China still bans virtually every western website where these people post their videos which means they are breaking the law and China is allowing it or they've fled the country before posting. Let that sink in for a moment.

>they are breaking the law and China is allowing it
China doesn't give a fuck about western vloggers uploading shit to jewtube, lol.
The firewall is not for westerners. They don't give a shit about your vpn.
>>
>>2847111
There are plenty of Chinese influencers that also get around the firewall and are allowed to because they actively shill the country
>>
>>2846975
I had a great time, Chengduand Chongqing was awesome.
Don't think I'd ever bother with Shanghai or Beijing again though but still enjoyed it.

it isn't illegal to upload videos to youtube and the chinese people who are uploading to chinese sites and youtube often have an agency who do the uploading from a western country because it means they don't have to upload gigabytes via VPN.
>upload video to baiducloud (if they even edit the videos themselves and not the agency does it)
>agency in another country downloads from baiducloud
>agency uploads to youtube
you can watch youtube via vpn in china but it isn't fast download speed and no one is uploading a 5gb video at 500kbps on a vpn.
>>
>>2847215
>it's not illegal bro
>there's just a giant firewall meant to block everyone from accessing it and you need a VPN (against the law for personal use in China) to get around it
>>
>>2846971
that influx of shilling is CCP money. the chinese are the most thin skinned people in existence and pay lots of money to influencers to pretend most of the population isnt living in third world conditions

https://www.cnn.com/2025/05/30/asia/china-cat-deleters-torture-intl-hnk-dst

Chinese social media is filled with cat torture videos. The government doesnt care because "who cauyh it cat"

the fact a janny deleted this post for being "off topic" speaks volumes to how many shills are around here
>>

>thinks hundreds of attention seeking vloggers have stayed silent over a widescale CCP funding conspiracy

The final straw was when Bald went there and declared it the most beautiful country on the world where everything was clean, the trains ran on time and the people were so happy it looked like everybody had achieved nirvana.

bald was forth coming that the ccp paid him
>>
>>2847311
Where?
>>
>>2847311
I would not be surprised if they paid him to do that hit job on India. How else could he have betrayed India like that? After years of living there, learning the language, even siring half a dozen biracial children.
>>
>>2846971

everything is very cheap, and is safe not like some poor shit holes, so it's good place to visit for people from 1st world countries.

>hit job
