What are your predictions about the state of travel in the coming years? Do you see a decline or rise of normies continuing trends of mass tourism? From personal observations it seems like alot of zoomies who have disposable income are jetsetting, while there is a noticable decline in boomer places like Vegas. People were doomposting about indians and chinese taking over the gaps but there are definitely less of them in numbers in places I frequent, barring uberjeets and low service workers. I feel like even last year I noticed way more of my normie social feeds flooded with travel posts (le going to japan omg quirky midlife crisis, reels about china, girls going to thailand for yoga etc), now I rarely see or hear from any of my circles about trips they have been on or are planning.

It seemed that there was a peak after Coof blue balls but now it has reached below the baseline, based off the overall vibes I see and observe. Iirc thailand numbers were also down this year. Hell I even see less doomposts here about sexpest spots being overrun with weekend warrior asians and young chads.

It will probably go down a bit depending on how the job markets go, it's been slowly decreasing as people are now having their deferred debts FINALLY catch up and faggots realizing deferred =/= forgiven.

Maybe I am weird but I haven't noticed that much of a spike in tourism being an issue, maybe it's because I don't go to downtown tokyo/Paris/London/Prague/bangkok and go WOW.... crazy so many other wh*tes.... Most tourist these days are somehow more braindead than before covid like you go slightly off the beaten path and they are just all gone.

Basically the post covid "boom" is only an issue for those going to the instagram-tastic tourist traps IMO

Good point, and I've noticed the same thing. IG groupies never explore, they only follow in the footsteps of their favorite influencers.

Also, greed is catching up hard. People are realizing that the opportunity costs of long-term travel are very high if you intend to lock into the grindset. Nobody wants to be behind all their age peers in salary thanks to a late start in their career. Companies are increasingly balking at resume gaps, refusing to hire so-called "quitters" (especially if these gaps have recurred regularly). Pricey two-week getaways are all the rage; budget backpacking is out of vogue.

This is definitely the case especially this year. the vibeshift is definitely unreal, I came back after being abroad for 6 months and the level of jooflation is insane. You can just see it in peoples faces too. Alot of my friends are more frugal than ever, and these are yuppie types living in NYC. Its not going to get any better, people have less disposable income than ever and they'd rather spend on the creature comforts at home. Hell I even have a female friend who was talking about her experience with Seeking and how she'd be open to soft escorting. I posted 2 years ago saying the covid boom is most likely a trend and got brigaded by the low iq doom sloppers. I honestly don't even know if this is a good thing or not, even if there is a hint of coping in my post I feel like prices will only increase to make up for lost revenue as the world gets more retarded and slopified.

This is also the case, when I hear people traveling its usually to these places and they stick with a itinarary they can bang out in a week. Seems like alot of the digital nomads and redpill bros got flushed out from alot of places. Even when I did my sexpat trip to Thailand in 2024 I didn't feel like there were THAT many other whites outside of sukhimvit 21 or whatever it was called. Oddly I see more Russians and Italians at the spots I frequented this year.

I have noticed this too but its definitely only a thing within upper managerial class muttmericans in urban slop centers. I notice a trend of europoors still doing backpacking and longer term excursions, although this was always steady with them. But yeah with how shit the job market is I have definitely noticed a steep decline. Most do the whole 2 week PTO slop getaway to le hecking Tokyo or Spain or wherever.

Maybe first worlders will travel less. Third world countries are overall getting wealthier. I expect far, far more Indians traveling in the coming years. Living in an Asian country popular with Indians, I'm seeing their totals double every month. It's reaching a point where I see more Indians than locals.
>>
Most people I know, at least in the US, Canada, and Europe have to start paying back any and all debts starting Jan 1, 2026. I see a significant drop in the amount of people actually traveling and a tourist bubble pop finally. Lot of people I feel are going to be taking those wage slave jobs they previously didn't and we get a mild recession that's been delayed thus far because of money printers.

I also think a fair amount of jobs are going to do RTO, because of what AI doing in the job markets people want to see real work done.

Indians go to such stereotypical places I would argue they are easier to avoid than the stacy's and ken's who want to travel with a selfie stick.
>>
>>2847166
>I expect far, far more Indians traveling in the coming years
You faggots have been saying this for the past 5 years but other than uber jeets slave labor pouring into the entire developed world I haven't noticed Indian tourists (traveled around Balkans, Turkey, and Caucuses for 6 months).
>>
>>2847166
>Third world countries are overall getting wealthier
Also I don't expect this to be the case soon with the overall global economy worsening and AI and whatnot. Most of these countries have already hit the middle income trap, I dont see them getting wealthier or poorer anytime soon
>>
>>2847145
for the next few decades the travel and tourism sectors will be completely dominated by the new middle classes in india and china
>>2847179
>I haven't noticed Indian tourists (traveled around Balkans, Turkey, and Caucuses for 6 months)
well duh. nobody wants to go to those places. indian tourists go to dubai, thailand, malaysia, bali etc etc. basically places they can get budget flights to.
>>
>>2847186
>indian tourists go to dubai, thailand, malaysia, bali etc etc. basically places they can get budget flights to.
Agreed, although most are working in dubai not tourists.
>completely dominated by the new middle classes in india and china
Chink tourism is down in many countries and their middle class is growing poorer.
>>
>jeets more and more ubiquitous
>Historical sightseeing becoming less popular due to people losing interest in history
>Some new hotspots like Algeria, Mozambique and Indonesia outside Bali emerging
>Family holidays less popular due to demographics
>Instead solo travel will be me more popular and services/infrastructure will adjust to that

If you are actively worried about indians and shit tourists clogging up your travels, I got some bad news for you. You're going to the most shitty stereotypical travel spots and Raj and Simer are hardly the worst of your concerns. You're just a slop poorfag tourist and finding out that you make the bed you sleep in.

Travel somewhere not a hustlin' bustlin' megacity in SEA and tada, problem solved.

what people are doing =/= what the algorithms show you on SM. I expect the content pushed to you to change in the coming years, but the main way people travel will change a lot slower.
If we actually have a recession then yeah, things will slow down for all but the upper classes. In the long run if wealth keeps becoming more concentrated at the top, I expect travel styles to bifurcate in a similar way
>poorfags go on budget trips, hostels, street food, etc
>richfags spend big on luxury trips, or adventurous activities like rafting trips and mountaineering - done mostly for status among their peers rather than genuine interest

I'm mulling around the idea of creating an adventure travel agency to cater to these people
>>

Solo travel to obscure shitholes seems like its on the way out in terms of normie approval, it seemed to only take off because of digital faggots and covid tech boom money.

Fully agree, you will probably still see Jamals going on financed trips but middle class and those even in upper class urban areas will definitely scale back.
>>
>>2847246
>way out in terms of normie approval
This is why its the way forward. Travel is a male attention economy.
>>
Most definitely a rise. I literally just saw a black single mom with her kids in the Philippines coming because "the cost of living is cheaper than the US"......... she wasn't even there to whore around with the local men, just escaping America.... you know the Philippines and other SEA destinations are fucked when the women start coming
>>
There won't be any world left to travel
>>
>>2847220
>done mostly for status among their peers rather than genuine interest
yeah man poorfags don't do this at all...
>>

As hotel prices in India soar (with no corresponding increase in quality), taking cheap flights to neighboring countries for a vacation makes more and more sense. Even with the flight factored in, it can be cheaper to take two weeks in Phuket than to take two weeks in Goa for the typical middle-class Indian family. And you get much better customer service, much cleaner rooms, and much less hassling from touts.
>>2847193
Hedonistic tourists would be bored in most of the smaller cities and towns. There are no lively bar scenes with an array of low-inhib foreigners drinking from noon til the break of dawn. It's mostly people going about their daily routine. You are free and no longer have to go to work, but everyone around you is still stuck in their wagie life, so you have to be able to amuse yourself.
>>2847220
With open-source digital maps showing all the hidden gems of the world, adventurers don't really need tour agencies to hold their hand anymore like in the old days. The people who take tours in 2025 are the opposite of adventurers. They want everything programmed and predictable.

Honestly as a zoomie I’m hoping to do a trip to Japan next fall after finishing college then that’s it for international travel for a while.
>>
>>2847145
I'm thinking a reduction in global travel, especially between western countries. Most travel will probably be from the west to cheap 3rd world countries. Air travel relies on a lot of fuel and airlines have to find ways to lower spending, they will probably cut back on routes that are not profitable therefore raising airline ticket prices. International travel is going to move back to being a luxury again I think.
