What should i do? Been to Japan this year, did the popular route and i've enjoyed it. Now i think i could also try to go to China but im not sure. I am now more familiar with Japan, for China i know nothingAt the same time there are cool places in China... What to do? Experience China and visit the popular stuff, or go to Japan again and do Okinawa maybe and some other place?
>>2847936GO SOMEWHERE BESIDES ASIA. I AM BEGGING YOU
>>2847936>Okinawadull. where are you? why is flying all the way to visit okinawa interesting? if you want scenery and tropical there are better places.
>>2847936>should I revisit a country I was just in, or go to a new oneAlways go to a new one.
China's massive but a lot harder to get around desu, it's a modern country but you will have the same difficulty getting around as in a 3rd world nation due to China's no fucks given towards tourists. If you're ok with that I'd say go to China.
Actually if you haven't been to Taiwan I'd recommend it. Small country + very easy to get around + not too expensive + nice people + good transit + nice nature.
>>2847939okinawa seems a cool safe tropical place that's not full of scammers maybe. kinda skeptical of other SEA places unknowing what i would stumble upon. and also i know my way a little in japan so that's a plus
>>2847936Go to Chongqing
>>2847936China is going to be far more trouble than it's worth. I'd go to Taiwan and Vietnam instead
>>2847936China is pretty easy to get around actually so long as you do your research and book shit ahead of time. Just make sure you have an onward ticket to a third country if you're doing the visa free rout or they won't let you in.
>>2847964Exactly why I went to Okinawa and didn't regret it at all. Amazing place. But I know some don't like it as much. I stayed in Naha and enjoyed that old rusty town, amazing Okinawa soba, Okinawa sugar snacks, Bireleys juices, etc. Also took some day trips by speed boats for beautiful beaches and swimming. My favorite place in Japan. I love the combination of tropical, palm trees and that clean Japanese archtecture. Imo i would do that and other places in Japan instead of China.
China is massive and easy to get around. Just install Wechat or Alipay and get payments set up. Trains are cheap and take you anywhere in the country fast, and taxis are stupidly cheap as well. Going somewhere like Taiwan is more trouble than it's worth. It's basically just a more run down Japan with nothing of interest to see. And Japan is just sick of tourists, even if they're not personally saying it to you in English. But the news and social media is 24/7 nonstop hating on tourists. Conversations with Japanese people is nonstop complaining about tourists. Nobody wants them. China, meanwhile, does love visitors. As another poster said, Chongqing is nice. Lots of nature nearby (Wulong has a nice canyon). Dazu has some incredible rock carvings from about 1000 years ago. Both are easily accessible with a day trip. The city itself is also beautiful with some old town districts mixed with the skyscrapers.Shanghai is also hard to go wrong with. Suzhou is nearby and has some impressive gardens and canals.Beijing is basically Chinese Kyoto. Zhangjiajie is beautiful and otherworldly. The mountains there look just like old Chinese paintings. You've probably seen pictures of it inside neighborhood Chinese restaurants.
>>2850156>Beijing is basically Chinese Kyoto.Plus people spitting everywhere, dirty almost india level, scammers, diarrhea food, dangerous road traffic, people shouting in your ears, pollution, Chinese don't do any maintainance. There is a reason why Chinese tourists are flooding Kyoto.
>>2850250Where did you stay in Beijing?
>>2850258He didn't. Or if he did, he stayed there decades ago.
>>2847936Everyone keep telling me that you should always experience new countries instead of visiting ones you have already seen. But I loved Japan so much I want to go back already. It never happened for any other countries before (and I have seen a lot).I was tempted to do Taiwan for ten days perhaps, then moving on to Japan. Perhaps doing China then Japan could be your solution if you have enough days off
