What’s special about Hokkaido, Japan?I stayed there for a while and wished I saw a bit more. Anyone else got experience there?

until Japan changes its policy to allow importation and possession of person use quantities of cannabis and other drugs I shan't be visiting, despite how interesting I find it that they have mountains that geologically parallel the Appalachian mountains and the rural bits of northern hokkaido seem interesting
