I've been an expat for many years in many countries and travel all the time. But travellers in general just love to talk about themselves. Sometimes it feels like they're in an interview, like they're a celebrity. They sit their smiling and answering your questions.I travel and live abroad because I'm an inherently curious person, but many travellers travel because it is a way for them to spend very little money but present themselves on social media as a baller. Travel is just a vehicle to build social status. Try talking to a traveller, ask them some questions about themselves and then stop.Their eyes will dart left and right, they'll shift around on their seat but they'll never think to ask you a question. For many travel influencers, social interactions are an opportunity for you to get to know how interesting they are.I prefer expats in general. They're more rowdy, down to earth and based. At least a larger percentage.
> prefer expats in general. They're more rowdy, down to earth and based. At least a larger percentage.I'll take a rowdy retard I have to deal with for 5 minutes at the airport, 711, or customs lines over expats any day. At least I know where travllers/tourists will frequent to avoid the most shitflinging.Dealing with expats be like>find small bar I like, expat sits down, has to now try a dickwaving competition of "you don't really know X place unless you know about random BS I do">expat is a crypto bro and is about as fun to talk to as a room temp IQ NEET with 0 hobbies or interests outside cooming>has a girl at every city which really boils down to they had a 1 night stand and they are real GF's! won't hear otherwiseThe worst is if you have a place with shared amenities like gym/pool/cafe and a dumbass NEET/Crypto bro thinks you're going to show them some shit around town and be your buddy because you shared interest in 1 thing. Like I'm not a tour guide. Learned fast to just say I don't have discord or shit for social media.
>>2850179I think mods deleted my last comment kek, but I agree with this guy
>>2850267>mods deleted my last commentMine too. Wtf is going on with this over-moderation lately? New NEET mod with nothing to do?
An expat is nothing more than a stationary, alcoholic traveler. What do they have to talk about besides the usual drunken, jaded blatherings about romance gone wrong with a local woman?
It's funny that a mod posted this thread because he's deleting everyone who comments against him.
>>2850277No. I posted it and he's deleting my shit too. He deletes insults and banter. He's redditifying/trv/
>>2850276>An expat is nothing more than a stationary, alcoholic traveler. You're nothing more than someone who lacked the skills to live abroad. You vacation in my city and go home and dream of my daily life. You hate me because you want to be me.
>>2850298Being a deracinated westerner whose only goal in life is to get drunk and fuck prostitutes in third world countries is not a skill. Nta but you sound insecure.
>>2850299I rarely drink and I hookers disgust me. That's who you want me to be so you can feel better about your failure to live abroad. And it's delicious btw.
>>2850277What golden posts got deleted? I bet it was real high value effort posts!
>>2850343Watch your mouth, hometown boy. Expats are in this thread.
People who make travel their whole personality are always low quality humans. Can’t stand them.
>>2850351I'm not just superior because I'm a highly successful expat in a country you save up your minimum wages to visit, you know
>>2849794>>2850179I agree with both of you, just overall too kany soulless npcs with no purpose, tourists suck vut uou can escape them because they never venture out of the usual areas, expats sucks but you can avoid them by just speaking the local language >>2850267>>2850270>>2850277Holy shit same, different thread but same they delete all critical posts and there's a schizo out there projecting onto everyone that they are untravelled neets, I think there's a loser back home expat moderating and deleting our replies lmao
>>2850386>JuS sPeK dA loCaL lAngUaGE!
>>2850397>NOooooo you can't speak the language that everyone around you understands and communicates in that's simp behavior!!!!
>>2850401I learn the languages often but don't want to hang out with third worlders. Expats can actually share your humor, your culture etc. third worlders are ok for every now and then but I'm not an anthropologist
>I hate people who love to talk about themselves!>let me tell you about myself...
>>2850298I don't hate you, I disdain you. You're stuck in the wagecuck mentality, and like every wagie, you want to believe that your paycheck is some kind of huge flex that other foreigners envy. No. We don't envy you, because you are not free to go and do as you please. You are afraid of the Third World, and you use your money to shield yourself from it. That is why you are stuck in some globohomo-tier hotel or apartment, working some lame-ass online job, and coping with conspicuous consumption to feel better about your life. Apart from your geographical location, your life is no different from the average wagie in fucking Des Moines, Iowa. And just like those Iowa wagies, you dislike talking about overseas travel because you are ignorant of the world. You'd rather talk about sportsball, women, politics, hobbies or some other normie-tier topic of conversation.
>>2850802You think you've identified how expats live wrongly.>if I was an expat, I'd take AirAsia flights and explore on my time off, I'd learn the language and integrate, I'd live like..But. You never will. You failed to acquire the skills and the education that is demanded around the world. I identified it, and the life I wanted and capitalized on it. You failed and I won. Now you're left fantasizing about how an anonymous expat online ACTUALLY has a really vapid and normie life abroad and how you're actually really intelligent and deep... Just not intelligent enough to live here. You'll experience my life in my city a few weeks a year and then return to toil for minimum wage with people who talk about TV shows and celebrities. While me and my mates are clinking glasses and talking about our travels and rich adventures. We think of people like you when we appreciate our lives.
>>2850833I've been past your expat bars a time or two in the course of my travels. A bunch of balding white men with soft saggy bellies who gather in the afternoon to drink overpriced poison, gabble like geese for hours and flirt with sassy plump 38 year old barmaids. Lame and boring. Meanwhile I'm out here with a flat belly and a hard face, living a real adventure life in some random places where nobody expected a foreigner to show up. Packing my bags on a regular basis to head out somewhere, anywhere. I'll only know where when I get there. No cell service, no support group, no home base, no income. You are a penned steer happy in your comfy stall; I am a rangy coyote who makes his bed as he goes along. Your goal is an easier, more comfortable life; I seek greater degrees of challenge and hardship. It makes perfect sense that you want nothing to do with me, because I make you feel like an emasculated, overfed steer.

>>2850900>I've been to an expat bar so that must be you in thereIt hurts me to think I use the same board as this brainlet
