I don't care about internet, culture, things to do, vibes, whatever. I just want the cheapest, safest possible place where I can stay as long as possible without moving around and just have my savings last as long as possible to have food and shelter and watch youtube. Is there any city where I can live for like $400 a month indefinitely just sitting in my room? With safe, cheap cooked food readily available nearby?
>>2851790In most of western Europe, you can live on states benefits for zero euro.
>>2851790Vietnam
>>2851790In India you can get a hotel room (not a dormitory bed, an entire room for yourself) with a shower for 10$ a night.
>>2851795I've traveled extensively in India and this isn't true anywhere in the country, not even the poorest parts $10 a night won't even get you a clean hostel bed anymore
>>2851794I'm pretty sure this is the current meta yes. Malaysia is a good upgrade option for someone who wants to spend a bit more and have a bit cleaner place to live
>>2851797
>>2851800What if I don't want bedbugs?
>>2851795He wants to rot and get fat for years. He will rent for like 50$ a month.
>>2851805
>>2851800Doesn't seem like they will honor that price
>>2851809this one seems to be more well known and of better quality
>>2851808>just sleep on a pesticide soaked mattress, bro!
>>2851812>>2851800if prices are roughly similar I'd rather live in a place with clean air. New Delhi has basically the worst air on the planet. not exactly a great place to live a simple healthy life
singapore is unironically unmatched for rotting. you can get a nice apartment for relatively cheap, it's absurdly safe, and all the zoomers are terminally-online and talk in twitter/Xiaohongshu slangyou have to work hard to rot in style.
>>2851830it probably costs $1000 at a MINIMUM to live there. and there's no way a random NEET could get away with living there for over 6 months
I've heard you could go to Ukraine and stay at cheap places at the Carpathian mountains (Home of dracula btw) which claim to be safe from the war.. i've also heard about Georgia , and Bulgaria as options which have cheap stays. The biggest problem though is getting your money there, even in first world countries like Japan, you're never sure if your visa/master card gets accepted and you have to do the cash thing.
>>2851834interesting proposal, I wonder if there are any videos on youtube of people doing this this year
>>2851834Ukraine will probably become a hot destination after the war is over
>>2851845just go. western ukraine is ezpz safe. went there 2 years ago.
>>2851790You have to consider visa regulations too. The cheapest country is arguably Indonesia, in somewhere like Kalimantan or Sulawesi. However, you can only stay for 1 month + 1 month visa extension and then need to spend lots of money on travel again.I just got back from North East India (a place rarely visited). In Assam you can get a clean and spacious room in Guwahati for about $7 a night and you could probably eat for $3 a day at a hard push (at least some days). So you'd be $10 a day (but miserable imo but you don't care).
>>2851845i watched this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o-TzbYITvXU&t=1swho knows if its even true or not, in the end you have to do it yourself to really know. thats the true total reality.
>>2851834Why go to Ukraine and not Romania?
For south east asia Philippines is the best for not moving around, just don't stay in Manilla. You can stay for like 2 years just renewing tourist visa online, don't even need to go to the immigration office. You can also live well for $400 if you rent a place, hotels will obviously cost more.
>>2851790I saw this place and dude I think I may have found the most undiscovered gem place ever it might blow up someday. Its called Suriname. It has 78% cheaper rent than the USA. Its capital is called Paramaribo and it has all this cute Dutch architecture everywhere. Now is it the most exciting place by far hell no. However its cheap and decently safe. It has the most forested land in the world at like 82% or something so you can pretty much just chill go bird watching, find bugs and travel around rivers and shit. You can take up swimming and go into the oceans for fun. The worlds hottest model actually came from Suriname. You can probably get SOME pussy or if you are a girl there are tons of young bucks to fuck there. Lots of BBC slaves there.I think a lot of people are going to discover this place soon that and the other nations next to it like French Guyana.
>>2851905>Philippinesit has so many islands though. where would you even go? and once you go there you are stuck forever, because it's an island and you can't go anywhere else.
>>2851913the visayas islands are good, like bohol, cebu, samar.. can live a good and relaxed life there very cheap.
>>2851809>>2851797This is a shill, no idea why he is lying and scaremongering about the hotels. They don’t “suddenly charge you more”. That’s not even how hotels work.
>>2851913Are you 8 years old? Holy shit helpless fucking retard. Pathetic.
>>2851790Are you actually just gunna sit there and do absolutely nothing? Po dunk towns in Nam you could probabaly rent for 2-300 and street food for 5-10 a day>>2852068>>2851913Im not sure which post is funnier
>>2851882Ukraine is safer
If you really want to rot: Malaysia. The government doesn't really give a shit about white dudes overstaying their visa, hell their digital nomad visa BS is basically non functional people on it are just indefinitely renewed. If you want to "rot" aka be NEETWest Virginia or some midwest state, enjoy SNAP bux
>>2852068Not everybody has a yacht to travel the world and visit every island you know.
>>2851795Cheapest I've encountered is ₹1000 per night. Monthly rental flats can be had for dirt cheap, but require registration, security deposit, and whatever other hurdles Indian bureaucracy dreams up to justify their jobs. Hostels OTOH can still be had for ₹400 per night or less, but who wants to vegetate all day in a fucking dorm surrounded by peoplemaking friends and having fun? As a bonafide social loser, I need my solitude.
>>2852067Oh my sweet summer child. You have obviously never been to India. Scam bookings offering eye-catching deals are a dime a dozen here. >b-but it's booking dot com!The scammers pick hotels that do not take reservations, then create a listing in that hotel's name, add a few hotel room stock photos and begin raking in the cash from suckers who fall for the "OMG such a good deal". Of course, some of them will complain to customer service and get refunds, but then they won't be able to leave a bad review because their booking is cancelled. Others will be too stupid or hurried to spend two hours texting with customer service reps, and will eat the loss. They are the ones who leave a bad review. Of course, Booking.com collects commission from the scammers, and additional bribes to India-based platform staff can get some of the bad reviews sanitized.>>2852092$5-10 a day for street food in VN? Jeezus. Here in India I eat good quality sit-down restaurant food for $6 per day. Street food, fuck. That's gonna be like $2.50 a day for six small meals. And a high-rise apartment in India costs about $70 per month to rent, because there are literally thousands of shoddily built high-rises growing like weeds everywhere you look around any major city.>>2852392>gets arrested by Malaysian immigration officials>"you can't do this guys, some poster on 4chan said that Malaysia didn't care about foreigners overstaying their visit pass!">"we didn't know you had special permission from 4chan anon to overstay, you're free to go and we apologize profusely for the misunderstanding"Lemme know how that works out for you
>>2851815All of the cheap Indian hotels I've stayed at have been completely bug free due to constant fumigation. The sleeper train cars are fumigated weekly here. >>2851812The photos on this listing are a scam, as is the room size of 19 square meters. You are getting a windowless, smelly, stuffy prison cell with a bathroom so small the door has about an inch of clearance from the toilet. The bathroom fan will be broken (they always are). These kind of hotels usually reserve their worst rooms for the lowest rate payers, i.e. goddamn Agoda users. And outside, the streets are extremely filthy and crowded. But if enduring the worst of India is your goal, then gopher it.>>2851906Suriname's coast is basically a mangrove swamp. It's low-lying, pestilential, hot and humid. Paramaraibo has oil IIRC, so hotels there are fucking expensive. Even the hostel charges $20 per night for a bunk. Cheapest room I'm seeing is a local guesthouse charging $45 per night. Can you have adventure there in the vast jungle lowlands? Undoubtedly. But it's gonna cost you a fuckton compared to exploring Asia. >>2851925IDK what you call a good life? Some rattly-ass window A/C running 24/7? PH is the only Asian country I've been to that still uses those horrible old window A/C units. Everyone else uses quiet, modern minisplits exclusively.
>>2852404>Lemme know how that works out for youOP said he wanted to rot, Malay jails are perfect for rotting.
>wants to leave the country just to sit inside and watch YouTube.I find it hard to believe there isn't somewhere in America you can't do exactly that. Rent a room in a house with people as sad as you. It'll be easy. Anons have even posted Midwest locations which have entire apartments for 400-500 per month. Why do you need to leave just to sit in your room and watch YouTube? You better not be another white male. The reputation and associated image only gets worse.
>>2851792Not much longer
>>2851790In most of SE Asia you can do this.I'm in Indonesia and my hotels are about $10 US per nightI spend less than $5 a day on food (delivered)Average is about $100 US per week to live comfortably. In Malaysia I spent a little more, maybe $120 per week. Same in Thailand. That's for actual hotel rooms, not hostels or shared facilities. You can go much cheaper than this.I'm comfortable and eat well. Basically just 4chan/YouTube all day and get a couple meals delivered.Been doing it for a year now.Very relaxing
>>2852646What visa you got for indonesia?
>>285285830 day eVOA. I will probably extend it to 60 days. Then maybe go back to Malaysia. They say you cannot spend more than 180 days in Malaysia per year or they might refuse entry. But I think I already did that in 2024 and had no problems. Also I don't know if that total resets at the calendar year.Maybe I will just take the risk and if they don't let me in I goto Thailand again
>bounces between countries just to browse 4chan and YouTube in cheap hotels and eat delivery mealsModern society is incredible
>>2852981You can smell the fatness of this lardsack, who can't even walk a few km to go check out some restaurants. His room's stuffy odor will make you want to vomit, stale food smells mingled with putrid sharts and dirty laundry. He of course will not notice any bad smell at all.
>>2853022unironically this. luckily people that dwell these threads repel women and their genes hopefully die off in the shit hole they choose to rot in.
>>2852409If an AC unit is too much for you almost anywhere on earth will be too uncomfortable besides the 4 seasons bro.
>>2851790This thread became a topic of discussion on furry twitter of all things I'm into. The best reply was that China has "gaming hotels" where you get a very small but comfortable room, 3 meals prepared for you a day, and a high end PC with whatever games you want to play for like $15 USD/night.
>>2852637This. You could do it in Appalachia or basically any rural area. There are still $500 studio apartments in places like Arkansas and Missouri
>>2852637>Rent a room in a house with people as sad as youthe entire fucking point of leaving is not having to experience this
>>2853096I'm pretty sure there's an Israeli NEET rotting in the room next to me. I saw a C Form at the front desk filled out with Israel as the home country, and the fucker watches TV at a high volume at the worst hours. Today he started watching TV at 4 fucking 30 AM. >>2853224There are close to zero apartments in the quaint small towns of middle America. It's all single-family homes. Cheap rental apartments are only found in blighted neighborhoods chock-full of degenerate poors (whether working-class or welfare queens). And color me skeptical of those low advertised rental rates. I bet you'll have to imprison yourself in an annual lease, then pay a security deposit, then pay monthly utilities and association fees on top of it. It's also safe to assume that those cheap apartments are located in an undesirable fringe neighborhood of the city, meaning that you'll also have to buy a car to live there. Before you know it, your life choices have trapped you in a generic dead-end loser life, living paycheck to paycheck and unable to even entertain the idea of packing your bags and heading overseas.
>>2852979have you considered borneo? then can visa run around 3 countries without needing to travel that far.
>>2853234>have you considered borneo? then can visa run around 3 countries without needing to travel that far.This. Indonesian Borneo is featureless, boring and ugly but wildly cheap and the people are stunned to see a White man. Just spent a couple of months hitchhiking the whole island
>>2853236>>2853234Isn't that where they headhunt you?
