>any anons with children who do international travel? Before Covid my wife and I would always take a month trip to Europe in the summer and Asia in the spring. However since covid we have had 3 children, and we would like to take another short trip fall of 2027, however one of the big issues I am trying to figure out is hotel rooms. It seems like most places do not allow 5 people in a room regardless how big the room is, and most rooms that have interconnected doors only have 2 people per room. How do most anons do it? We have stayed at a few AirBnBs in the past but I do prefer hotels when possible, especially in Asia. Also it seems like the logistics of taxis will be a nightmare as well, we typically only use public transit but there are times when you will need to use a taxi and I would not feel comfortable splitting up the family.
>>2852007>Europe in the summerYou couldn't pay me....You stay in American chains, ask for rollaway bed. Dad w/son, Mom w/daughter, someone on the sofabed or rollaway. Adjoining rooms is ideal, but one room will be king, and you do not leave children alone, again with the same sleeping, but a small kid can squeeze into the middle of a king. Some hotel rooms have a hallway that connects them, verses a shared wall. It's no big deal to prearrange a hotel pickup or choose a taxi that is a mini van. Uber XL. Whatever you do, I prefer to let the hotel know what I want. Plenty of hotels pick up more than 4 guests at once. Pack your luggage combined, to account for lost bags. You need to be safe with a larger family. Absolutely no public transport or low end hotels. Security matters.
