Lille is a much nicer city to visit
It was a nice city in the 1920s, when it was the capital of Europe next to London, which was also one of the nicest places on Earth. Nowadays Europe is a backwater, and these cities are mostly black/muslim. Times change, go to China or SEA next time.

Currently in Paris right now for the first time in years. Havent seen as many nafris but by god has this city been infested with jeets.Also the drivers are worse than Italian holy fuck. at least all the food has been good even if its slightly pricey at times but if i can get by on smoked fish and bread for 2 euros ill be ok.

But Airbnb denied her claim. We had a similar problem in Amsterdam. I've stayed in like 100 Airbnbs in 100 cities and those are the only 2 cities we ever had problems.

Opposite experience for me. I read how it was dirty, dangerous and Japanese often need therapy becuase of how horrible it was there which lead me to believe it was a shithole not worth visiting.I absolutely loved it, huge respect for my French friends, the people were lovely I never once felt unsafe the food was amazing and I ate so much delicious pastries that I'm already planning to go back. Watching the Eifel Tower sparkle at night was cool, nothing crazy in 2026 but it was cool to see all the same.

I love Paris. But I don't know if I would recommend Paris to most people. If you're going to Europe for the first time, there are at least 30 cities I'd tell you to go to first. Everything people say about Paris, good and bad, is probably true. I like biking, exploring the city on foot, walking into churches, museums, bakeries, cafes, all that Parisian shit. A lot of the larger tourist cities in Europe have the same problems with brown skinned criminals. But they're still a lot safer than most large US cities. I definitely don't get the same feeling in Paris that I get when I'm in southern Spain, the coast of Croatia, in the Alps, or in Tuscany and I think "should I sell everything I own and move here"?
I've traveled a lot of Europe. After a while all the museums start looking and feeling the same. Louvre is great if you're into art, I walked though it in like hour and half and I have no intentions of ever revisiting it.

when I went to Paris I took the RER D just after landing and I found myself surrounded by third-worlders speaking a language that I had never heard and considered cutting my trip short but the rest of my stay was amazing.If you just take a stroll in the city you'll meet a surprisingly high amount of japanese people but not that many arabs or black peoples, it looks like they're kept in some sort of ghettos on the edge of the city and only the richs are around during the day.I thought it was a shithole but it is my favorite place. I don't know how but it doesn't even feel that crowded unless you're right in front of the tower or the montmartre church
