This is my hard plan at the moment, I am going to use Trainline to book things and start cementing this.

I am a male normal height not fat but I don't tend to do well with women should I try go out and drink or go to electronic clubs in Berlin or? In my 2 month trip of the UK I basically only spoke with people paid to talk to me and a bit sad :(

European Itinerary:

1 Italy: Rome Florence Milan

Optional day trip to Switzerland from Milan

2 Night Train: Milan Vienna

3 Central Europe: Vienna Prague Hungary

4 Germany & Austria: Berlin Munich Salzburg Berchtesgaden

5 France & Monaco: Monaco Relax in a French Riviera town

Well, this changes everything. The answer is Laos.

Go to Laos.

>cityspam trip
>thinking people will speak to him in Monaco, Switzerland and Austria

What do you actually want to achieve out of your trip? You seem to want to visit around 1 place every 2 days, you're going to be absolutely knackered.

What activities and sights do you want to prioritise?

Visualise your day to day life for this month. Like imagine waking up, what you're doing, etc. Because as it stand it'll look like this
>check out
>leave bags wherever
>have 3-4 hours to get brunch and look at something
>get back to hotel/hostel
>get train
>arrive in evening somewhere
>check in
>run around to find something open for dinner
>hit a bar alone
>nobody interested in speaking to a nobody
>bar hop a few times
>go bed
>wake up
>do city tour
>see some churches, old buildings, and walk around
>get early night for early train in morning
>repeat for a month

>I don't tend to do well with women should I try go out and drink or go to electronic clubs in Berlin
Depends how old you look at 40. Normally I'd say no, but I met this 42 year old at a hostel who was still partying and clubbing and hitting on girls, had more confidence than dudes in 20s, but he had that Hank Green look, so he fit right in and didn't seem old.
But if you actually look like some 40 yo dad, I'd say just give it up unc and stick to tourism. You can still hang out and drink at local pubs, but don't think you can go rizz out girls at a night club lmao
>>
>>2855615
Activites are, and always have been, the best way to meet people.
If you don't do well in clubs, it's bewildering why anybody would think that's the best place to try and hit on girls, lol.

If you're in Europe and want to meet people, use the terrain to your advantage. Stay in hostels and do shit like:
>rafting
>boat trips
>pub crawls
>hiking
>alternative city walks

I travel all the time and sometimes stay in hostels and am in 30s. I've found eastern europe off the backpacker trail where there's no americans = best.

Stand out locations have been
>Kutaisi (lots of wine together, canyon trips)
>Sarajevo (city tours)
>Ulcinj (boat trips)
>Konjic (rafting)

Each time we've met shitloads of people, bonded over something active, and then got drunk. If I were traveling alone, it'd have been easy to elevate to a second meeting many times.

You need 3-4 nights in places to get to know the terrain, do cool shit, then have time to relax and soak up the vibes. If you're hopping from place to place constantly, nobody will care about spending time with you, and forget about hooking up if you're not experienced.

Anything on the tourist trail like Prague, Berlin, Barcelona, etc is going to be full of young clueless vain people who make cliques. Go off the beaten track.
>>
>>2855616
Also, the following mini-skills help. Shit like
>playing guitar
>being good at pool
>having a couple of good karaoke songs which are crowd pleasers
>being a good swimmer
>having a good eye for photography
Can help you be relevant to a group, strike up conversation, find reasosn to spend time with people and advertise yourself, and generally be at the centre of hostel life, as opposed to being an outcast.

Use the terrain and your skills to your advantage. If you have no charisma, no skills, no experience, etc, then don't expect traveling to solve any ofyour problems. Attack what you know, and what you like, don't larp.

Yay another /r9k/ meets Gymcel and PUA tardism thread with the most generic "murrican to europe" shit trip possible decoy.
Exactly what /trv/ needed.
>>
>>2855590
On my Europe trip I was always ready to leave a place after two nights, i.e. one full day of sightseeing. In fact I grew tired of Europe more quickly than any other foreign region I've visited. There's only so many old buildings and immaculate parks you can visit before they stop doing anything for you. Mind you, this was without a car, walking distance from hotel only.
>>
>>2855617
Who the fuck said anything about hostelfagging? Hostels are for broke jokes. Get a proper room, dress nice, and put on the snooty attitude of an American man of culture on his European tour. Read books at cafes, focus on meeting intellectual types. Forget about late nights getting drunk with retarded dudebro backpackers and their herpes-ridden groupies.

Europe is honestly kinda boring and overrated. I might try out the route from Galicia -> Pyrenees but yeah. Most of Europe is globohomo. Same shops, same streets, same restaurants, same multicultural societies of immigrants. Blah, blah it's all boring. Turkey and Morocco both have way more appeal to me than Europe ever could.
>>
>>2855659
Did you cityspam like an 18 year old, or actually travel?
>>
>>2855660
What's this "travelling"? Europe is extremely urbanized. If you want to go out to nature you're better off visiting SEA where you can go into jungles, scuba dive, visit volcanos, jump into cenotes, visit waterfalls etc. Europe sucks for not urban as well. There isn't any real uniqueness to any European countries left anymore thanks to globalization either.
>>
>>2855661
Europe has hugely developed nature tourism? Are you actually retarded? From recent years I've personally done:
>Stretches of Peaks of the Balkans
>Camino del Rey
>Rugova Canyon + Via Ferata
>52 Galleries in North Italy
>Renting a remote cabin in Bieszczady in Poland
>Boat trips in the Adriatic
>Ciro trail (cycling Mostar to the coast)
>Cycling Hel peninsula
>Rafting in Neretva
>Getting mud bathes in Mont St Michel
>Camping on beaches in Albanian riviera

I want to see a lot, there's a lot to see and I am from far away...
and to be fair I'll be so busy running 12 hour days and exploring
I'll probably only sit at a bar alone a few times...
Seeing the Mountains Hitler walked is far more important than meeting people.
2855615
Much younger, early 30s and fit enough to pull it off too,
but beginning to think clubs might be a waste of time.
I mean I do like electronic music, but more important than clubs
would be trying to meet women, what are the main apps there.
Does anyone have any thoughts on Czechia vs Hungary,
they are in competition for that middle slot.
I love hiking and walking and a few city walking tours to join
would definitely be one way to get social.
And yes with the placeholding I guess it comes down to
should I run my trip 'hoping to meet people' or just do what I want to do alone...
2855617
I play guitar, hasn't worked for me in 22 years,
I guess I am probably beyond help.
Would you like me to play you the intro to TNT babe?
FOR people saying city heavy I would agree somewhat
but I JUST DID NEW ZEALAND like 3 months ago.

Europe's immigration problem terrifies me,
are any of these cities I am going to safe to take night time photography?

I've done SEA extensively and yes just said I've done NZ
I am in Europe for painting, for the Vatican, for Nazi stuff...
Yeah I am sure there is some nice nature but I've probably done it.
Thanks everyone, I think Budapest is getting dropped
to just give me more chill time.
I am open to hiking suggestions around Berchtesgaden

>When's the credit card bill due?
You have nothing on me but latched onto something you FELT gave you power...it gave you nothing but a baited hook you vapid sexless pseudo-woman. Why are you LARPing on the internet like a woman?...
>>
>>2855655
No, I was town-hopping in places where the principal reaction was "why the hell are you even here?" or else complete indifference. Northern European landscapes are so benignly pretty in the long days of summer, but the coldness of the people really turned me off from visiting white countries further. I'm not going to push my presence or my hard-earned money on people who don't appreciate either. And I'm not going to stay in stinky noisy dormitories either. Hostels are a humiliation ritual.
>>2855661
There's still a lot of quaint tradition left in the European countryside. Euro farm products are the cleanest and best in the world. And their recreation trails are also great. Finding a place to stay in the countryside is easy in some countries, virtually impossible in others...so a self-sufficient camping setup may be required if you want to be free of the cities.

Southeast Asia's version of nature is "pay a ton of money to ride a vehicle many kilometers to an attraction, engage in activity within 200 meters of the parking area, then ride back to town". It's a wasteful, extractive kind of exploration. Nature as a commodity to be sold to visitors.

Took this photo as a reminder of the Number Theoretics I noticed in Johannes Kepler's Harmonices Mundi. Namely 6:5 ratio and Phi portions (for Cognition and Architecture), and its interrelations to atmospheric and celestial orbit harmonics (Physics).

If you have a hard time getting to know people then sign up for food tours even if you don't need help navigating the restaurant scene. You'll meet a lot of other solo travelers of all ages who are in a similar situation and signed up for the tour because they need to scratch the social itch and are hoping to meet someone they get along with so they have a short term travel buddy

>any thoughts on Czechia vs Hungary
First let's do Prague vs Budapest:
Prague is definitely prettier and more well-kept, it's cleaner, shinier, no buildings collapsing or in decay. However, it is absolutely overfilled with annoying tourists ('muricans, chinks, sandcoons, everything) and it feels a bit like DisneyWorld for adults at times. All the shops in the heart of the city are either CBD shops, expensive jewellry shops, those scam Pirate Candy places or Thai massage parlors. To se some authentic life you have to leave the city center, as fast as you can. However, again, it can be really beautiful.
Budapest is dirtier, grimier, still has some amazing sights (the big Senate Building seen from across the river, the views from the Castle District up at the mountain), but it is a lot more authentic. You actually see real hungarians walking around the city center living their life. Budapest is a bit more spread out than Prague in terms of touristic stuff, you'll have to walk a lot or do public transport if you want to see everything.

Now, Czechia vs Hungary without the capitals:
Hungary has some interesting places (Balaton Lake, Eger, Debrecen, etc) but overall Czechia is much nicer, the 2nd-tier Czech cities still have some life whereas in Hungary everything but the capital is dead. Karlovy Vary is a quaint little town criss-crossed by a river, with a nice castle up on a hill, the whole thing. Plus moving around Czechia is nicer (trains and buses) than in Hungary.

Europe lives in harmony with nature far more than the Third World, because it is already developed. The rampant ecological degradation so common down here is absent in most Euro countries (at least in the north).

My work income is a small fraction of your pension, so luxury experiences as driving a rented car around the French countryside are off limits. More importantly, splurging on a European excursion would disrupt my ability to spend two months traveling for every one month working. And besides, Europe is boring. The people are so dull and closed-off. The streets are so clean and empty of curiosities. The old buildings are all locked up tight. Walking around different villages gets old after a couple weeks; nothing stands out or leaves an impression, because it's all so uniformly...nice.
