How do you live with the regret of not traveling in your 20s when you were young?
>>
>>2858985
Suicide is the only known cure
>>
>>2858985
life does not automatically end when you turn 30 unless you ate yourself into being a fat retard or have done something equally as catastrophic to your health
>>
>>2858985
i was as poor as fuck when i was younger. never travelled anywhere with my family, i went to study but i dropped out because i got in some addiction trouble. had some interesting experiences but i kind of struggled for a few years
eventually i got a job where i got to travel a lot. i haven't stopped since. it's great
>>
>>2858987
This desu
No refunds op
>>
>Would have, could have, should have
Waste of time to think this way and the only outcome is depression. Focus on the future instead
>>
>>2858985
balls deep in brown goblins seems to fix it
>>
>>2858985
suicide is a solution. Check your dm
>>
>>2858993
Yeah yeah, now you can hang out on beaches and walk around cities, but you'll never get the experience of making friends at hostels and fucking chicks you met at the club after getting shitfaced.
>>
>be big poor retard that didn’t go to school till I was 25.
>marry into a big, rich, Chinese family when I was 30
Currently hanging out in Singapore, having all my accommodations paid for. So far on this trip I’ve been to
>Tokyo for 10 days (a little too long desu, you only need 5 days in Tokyo max)
>stayed with my wife’s aunt for a week in Hong Kong
>stayed Guangzhou for a few days at my father in laws (china is low key a big shit hole, unless you go to the big city shopping centers

Plan on going back to Guangzhou on Tuesday. Then take a few trains around china. Plan on Shanghai, a few other places like chongqing. Then ultimately staying with my mother in law in Chengdu.

But I use to think that I wasted my chance on being a sex pest and travel the world. But having a big rich family in Asia that takes you to all the great areas and know all the languages. I’ve been treated with the most insane amount of hospitality, I feel like a king. It’s been the most amazing trip of my life soo far and it’s only half way over. It’s also shown me that America is a shithole to a lot of degrees and Cisco food needs to have charges brought against them, for crimes against humanity and mass poisoning.

>you can’t fuck gross back packing girls and get whiskey dick during sex with them at 30

Heaven forbid, if that’s why you travel to get scammed for over priced drinks at foreigner clubs. Then you missed the point of traveling and should of stayed home and fuck retarded trust fund kids in LA instead.

>you'll never get the experience of making friends at hostels and fucking chicks you met at the club after getting shitfaced.
i used to play in a rock band, anon
i've seen things you people wouldn't believe
>>
Travel now op. You can watch the endless flow of young, thin, handsome guys who get the attention you didn't and all they have to do is show up. Good on you for working for so long though :^)
>>
By remembering I was a broke student in college and I had no money. Men peak in their 30s anyway when they have stable careers and disposable income. I traveled around some places in the US in my 20s and I still felt just as alone and miserable as I did sitting in my house. I wouldn't even be taking trips now if my gf didn't want to go different places. But in all honesty, my best times are just when we lie naked in bed all day doing nothing no matter the location.
>>
>>2858985
LOL, I did travel in my 20s. It mostly sucked. Spent half my twenties hating virginity and lamely trying to get a gf, then pumped & dumped a chubby little teen slut before falling into the black hole of "life is pointless, nothing has meaning, etc. etc." for most of the second half of my 20s. My first foreign bus trip was to Chihuahua, Durango and Mazatlan in Mexico after leaving the aforementioned CLTS. There were so many other places I could've explored in the fascinating Sierra Madre Occidental, but instead I drank some tap water out of sheer laziness, got some of the worst gut sickness ever, and spent the next two weeks moping in my room barely able to eat and hating my life. Must've been a rotting rat in the water tank or something...

Travel in your 30s is much better if you were an insecure friendless loser as a teenager. By 30 you're finally able to work through all that shit and find enjoyment in life. Good riddance, youth. I don't miss it one bit.
>>2859061
The percentage of young men and women I see paired up and lovey dovey with each other has been something like 5%. The other 95% are either single or in some kind of complicated friendzone/orbiter relationship where you can't just sit on a park bench making out without a care in the world.
>>
>>2859032
>should of
>>
>>2859063
They don't. This is not reflected by marriage data and using your fucking eyes.
>>
>>2858985
You aren't dead yet are you? Go Travel now while you still have time now and stop crying about it.
>>
>>2858985
Travel now and make friends with other uncs
>>
Your 30s is so much the superior time to travel. It is nice to have a bit of a career and financial cushion underneath you, provided your job permits you to take a month or more off every year. That's the only area where being young is better; it's easier to be gone for months at a time. That's the only thing I might regret, not doing more.
And since everyone brings up the hostel question -- the only hostels in which you would feel out of place as an oldie are the anemic party hostels set in the most normie locations. I'm 35 and the last dozen hostels I've stayed at I was about the average age. Maybe 20somethings don't understand that 30somethings simply do not give a fuck about age disparity. I had so much fun hosteling in central america last autumn, honestly a way better time than when I was young and a sperg.
>>
>>2858985
there is little difference between 20s and 30s for travel. i'd say 30s is even better as you have a little more money to spend
>>
>>2859113
>>2859122
Dude, where's your wife? Where's your kids? Go back to your family bro.
>>
Well I did travel in my early 20s, then convid fucked me over, forced to NEET for 2 years and now I'm 29 finishing a degree so there's that. I'd rather have a stable life at this age and be reminded I'm at the same life stage of 21-23 year olds.
>>
>>2859128
I am antinatalist tho
>>
>>2859031
How does one marry into a big, rich, Chinese family as a big poor retard? Could a lowly English teacher white monkey truly win a noble consort's heart?
>>
What's the real difference between starting travel in your 20s or in your 30s? Still an adventure if you choose to make it one.
>>
>>2859141
no. her father will say "you make me shame!"
>>
>>2858985
The only thing worse than missing out on travel in your 20s is continuing to miss out.

Better to start at 30 than 40.
Better to start at 30 than never.
>>
>>2859128
I’m happily married with no kids, waifu doesn’t care how much I travel, and my job lets me take all the unpaid leave I want.
>>
>>2859141
We met in collage, in the US. I also started my career and make decent money (my wife does as well). If you give an honest effort, door will open for you (Asian families will help you however they can).
>>
>>2859095
What data lol? If you're ugly in your 30s you were ugly in your 20s and never had a chance to begin with lmao
>>
The only people I know who traveled extensively in their 20s were trust fund kids. Was not remotely possible for me as an American. If I lived in Europe and could take an overnight train for €30 I’d have done it.
>>
I began travelling in my 30s. Mentally I'm still in my 20s so I didn't feel different. Also I don't care for meeting people in their 20s or for trying to have sex with random girls. I travel so that I can see other countries, to experience their history, their culture and cuisine. Whether I travelled in my 20s or whether I waited until I'm 70, it wouldn't make much difference.
>>
>>2858995
unless op is b8posting this is the only answer and /thread
>>
>>2859325
This is exactly WHY you need to travel in 20s.
You have your entire life to walk around ancient cities and lay around on a beach, but only in your 20s and maybe early 30s can you party hard and fuck bitches without being an embarrassing creep
>>
>>2859339
I lived a live full of hedonism in my 20s. I just didn't do it in other countries. And to be honest, it's no less embarrassing trying to do that in your 30s than it is when you're in your 20s.
>>
>>2858985
I'm 21 and will do as much travel as possible to avoid this later
>>
>>2859141
>big, rich, Chinese family
if you take out the "rich" then it should be easy
>>
>>2858998
>All I'm seeing is a message from some guy called moot in 2013 asking me if I can meet him in a public toilet down the road
>>
I spent my entire 20s travelling and am still tortured with regret, when you're 30 it just happens
>>
>>2859603
when you're 30 you just regret being alive. you want it all to end, but you have to hang on for a little bit longer
>>
>>2858985
>all these rope posts
You should talk to people who've survived their 20s. A lot of them say that 29, 30, 35, 40 was the best age.
I'm not saying to wait to do all of those things until then whether or not you're in your 20s or out of them, but it's clear how subjective age and regret come into play and most people aren't grieving over their high school or college years.
You've got plenty of time.
>>
>>2859713
>A lot of them say that 29, 30, 35, 40 was the best age.
this. I was a reckless faggot in my 20s and never really figured myself out until my 30s. some of the best years of my life.
>>
Fuck this thread is making me depressed. I just turned 29, been dealing with health issues for years now. Considering something drastic so I don't die of regret. Maybe I'll move to NYC.
>>
>>2860299
Nigga just go to Japan for a week. You don’t need to uproot your life. Plus NYC fucking sucks.
