I've always wanted to visit. Was recently in Fiji so I thought I'd have the best opportunity since Nadi is the hub to all pacific island nations. Fucking $2800 for a one-way flight. I guess I'll never go. Apparently Micronesians work low-skilled jobs in Australia and NZ. How? How do they leave at that price?
The only way to get there if you're not rich is to be crew on a sailboat. I've kinda given up. Pacific islands are my vibe anyway. Been to Fiji, Samoa and Vanuatu.
