Sapa up north is a must, I stayed at a wonderful guest house that was beautiful.Da nang is nice beaches.

Saigon is essentially Paris of the east, great cafes, art scene and fashion
>>
>>2863623
>Saigon
isn't the climate horrible tho?
>>
>>2863625
nta but yea it is, best time to go saigon imo is the rainy season where theres not many people or vehicles on the road and you can breathe and have space just to go about your day, downside to that is that bars, pubs and clubs are then not packed like other times of the year
>>
>>2863621
I'll get some skinny little women too
>>
>>2863625
Not at all, actually the opposite: some of the reason Saigon gets more investment than Hanoi is because the climate is less extreme
>>
>>2863639
How is that a downside?
>>
>>2863653
Investment and development make a place shit. I like SEA for its relative lack of development. I am in Laos for the first time now and kinda want to live here.
>>
>>2863666
Yes but you say that as a rich westerner, its shit for the local people

Am I rich? Can you call my bank and tell them that? I don't think they know. Thanks bro.

Viet nigs, I'm gonna move to Da Nang in a couple of months. Just looking for a nice chill uni job. I'm a proper teacher but I don't want to work in international schools anymore.
Da Nang seems like Chinese tier 1 or 2 city level cleanliness and safety. How is it? I was there a long time ago before the economic boom.

>Da nang
>Cleanliness
Enjoy your mold and burning garbage.
>>
>>2864161
lmao nowhere in vietnam is anywhere near as clean as china
vietnam is filthy

Are you making the average Lao wage of $2000 USD per year?

Why not bro? Tough job but I love it
>>

I thought Hanoi was more Paris of the East IMHO. What did you do in Sapa? I might come back for a month and there's a lot I want to see. I liked Vietnam more than Thailand even if I found Viets more aggressive with scams. On the other hand I had a lot of locals help me out.

Also, any tips for booking decent busses? I had horrible experience with long distance busses. One stop for 12 hours and had to piss in a bottle lol. Also it's always guesswork where the bus station is (it's never close to anywhere you want to be). Is there a way to book smaller but more expensive buses? Or should I just fly and then use some major city as a hub before flying again? I usually prefer the cheapest option with transportation but those suicide buses are too fucking much

I had $100k cash spare during the Covid market crash. I invested it all and now I feel financially secure about the future. I can just do jobs i like rather thsn chasing the highest paying (which i did my whole career. Worked some insane hardship post countries)
If you didn't need the money would you choose sn international school or a uni where you're over qualified, highly appreciated and respected, find the work easy and have lots of time to work on improving every other facet of yourself and your life?

Cambodian Diaspora here, wanted to go visit tra veng, anyways before I buy a flight I see it going through Bangkok. I should skip this right, i’m afraid they’ll detain me and cause me to miss my connecting flight. U.S citizen I think it a low chance but thais have been bloodthirsty online.

Sorry when I say Paris of the east I mean its artistic and a mix of modern and new, and a great arts scene, rebellious away from northern politics.

In sapa I hiked, enjoyed the mountain views, visited the Hmong, I stayed in a guesthouse where we had a group meal daily.

Between cities I caught the reunification train beautiful stuff. I didn't even get a sleeper, just road in 8 hour blocks

Was in Saigon for Tet, weather and things to do were great more interesting than my summer visit last year where the heat was unbearable.
>>
>>2864511
I think you'll be fine
>>
>>2864287
So when you said rich, that's what you mean? That's the threshold?
>>
>>2863667
>it's shit for the local people
You say that as a rich (((westerner))) trying to sow dissatisfaction among the natives by telling them they should all have a car and a flatscreen TV and a swimming pool, and because they don't, their lives are shitty and horrible
>>
>>2865059
nice bro keep keep it quaint and rural around here
>>
I'm currently in Hanoi, staying in the Old Quarter, anyone know where or how to score some ganja?
