I’m a freshman in college in the American Pacific Northwest. About 10 months from now, from December 10th - January 5th, I’ll have a winter break where I want to go somewhere nice and affordable for 1-2 weeks. My budget is very limited, $1,300 at most, and I ideally go somewhere outside of the US/Canada. Europe seems too expensive for me so I’ve been looking at South America. I even found round trip tickets to Columbia for $500. I speak English and some French. I’d be open to anywhere, the cheaper the better. Does anyone have any recommendations?
fly to atlanta, rent a car, do a grand tour of southern appalachia

>>2863722>I want to spend two weeks in a foreign country on less than $1,300 dollars not including airfareDon't do it sonny boy. Either save your money and take the trip 22 months from now or do the smart thing and use your college's study abroad program so you can go on a long partially subsidized trip and get balls deep in the local culture.
>>2863722>Europe too expensiveJust stay in cheap hostels and cook slop in the kitchen like all the other poorfags do. Anons have mentioned that this lifestyle remains very affordable all across Europe. Yeah you can also visit Colombia, but the streets are feral there, and the country has become very anti-American/English hating. It's no place for a timid white manlet with nice things to go wandering alone, getting drunk and making local friends. A robbery attempt by the "bros" you just met is nigh inevitable. Most foreigners cluster together and go out with foreign friends for a feeling of safety. How about Chiapas in southern Mexico? San Cristobal is full of cheap hostels. Fly into Cancun, see the beach, then take a bus up into the mountains.
