African landlords would need to drop their prices x3 in comparison to poorest Asian countries to meet local demand. I talked to a ridiculously thick airbnb hostess in Mombasa about this. She asked why I rented her $30 a night apartment and not the $100 one that was slightly closer to town.

large parts of the country are off-limits due to instability of their neighbors (Nigeria, Chad and Central African Republic)
the south is fine though and has some nice parts (only been there ~1week so very limited knowledge)
and you definitely want to be in the capitol yaoundé and not on the coast in douala, as infrastructure in the capitol is a lot better

why would you go there with better alternatives nearby...
better beaches / coast and MUCH better infrastructure?

in any case, with the usual precautions, it is safe

also western "expats" aren't really a thing
unless you go to an airport, national parks, lodges or upscale restaurants / nightlife in douala, you're likely the only white person you'll see in your daily life
it's hard to describe if you never been to a non-touristy city in sub-sahara africa (excl SA)
you won't get treated badly (quite the contrary usually)
but it's exhausting

if you want a big expat community, you're better off in Nairobi (or South Africa, or Port Louis if Islands counts)

Isn't Botswana mostly a vast scrubby plain? Yes, there is that famous Okavanga Delta which is full of wildlife, but it's definitely not a place for hiking. Only expensive ass safaris in 4x4 vehicles.

unlikely

depends on your skills
there's a bunch of jobs in tourism that pay okayish, but not in Zambia (no relevant tourism) maybe Botswana (probably too small)
e.g. GM of luxury lodge, solar / water technician, pilot (plane or hot air balloon), maybe manager of your own travel agency
but the bulk of these jobs will be in Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda and South Africa though
also all those jobs are in the ~2-5000€, up to 10k€/month at the absolute max range, which is comfortable but far from rich

in the eastern and northernmost parts you have a little more vegetation
and during the wet season it's quite green in most parts

Thats a mixed race African but you can find lots of women with that body type on the coast around tourist areas.

Also above is correct. Any African woman on a dating app or in a club is a gold digger/scammer. I spent several months in the region and im not exaggerating, every other woman I met tried to scam me somehow, eventually.
Even the woman I spent most of my time with eventually tried to cash out, when she got the feeling I was leaving soon.

Remember this: if she's not employed and not living with her family doing chores and taking care of kids, she's sustaining her lifestyle by being paid by men.
