Leaving the NEET cave for the first time, for 7 days mid May, and have no idea where to go. Japan, Florence, and Paris are on my list. I fear the idea of massive crowds soiling the experience.

what about going to appalachia instead?

Bullshitting, mostly. I like to take long walks and be mindful

You need a passport.

Are you fucking crazy? Even including flights that's way over budget, even in expensive countries, assuming you're a solo traveler.
Assuming flights are give or take $1000, you can do most countries under 3K in 7 days

Outlandish budgets are a new form of baitposting on /trv/ of late. If you have a bunch of cash laying around, you don't even have to budget. Just travel at whatever price tier you feel most comfy. Seven days is a ridiculously short trip for someone without a wagecage to return to...

Reddit says the most popular places are the ones most worth visiting. If you disagree, you're heckin edgy and a contrarian.

Sorry, didn’t mean to ruffle your feathers anon. It’s refreshing to know I won’t have to spend anywhere near the amount I have put aside. I was going in with the expectation it was going to be a lot of money. Especially for Japan

I am not plugged in to whatever current meta of baiting is on this board. I’m a tourist. I see hostels being recommended in almost every thread and to me that looks like the trolling that goes on here.

I’ve actually been to smaller countries with my family, I just don’t know where to go by myself. That’s also part of the huge budget, it’s a safety net because honestly this is outside of my comfort zone. “Just don’t be retarded” is cool and all, I’d just rather it not be a possibility I get stuck somewhere because of some important “do this thing or you are screwed” I missed.

I also considered Switzerland and Lauterbrunnen Valley which is lesser known. I picked the ones in OP because it’s easy to walk around and see interesting things, and you don’t have to rent a car and can instead use the extensive public transport.

Nice turbo normie locations OP. Paris is a 3rd world shithole along with florence. Avoid western Europe like the plague. Im in Norway now (family trip, otherwise I wouldnt have gone), and taking a flight to either Slovakia or Hungary in a few days. I've been to the Balkans a few years ago and it was fantastic. No niggers, no fags (well unless its slovenia kek) cheaper than SEA (aside from Vietnam) and some of the best most fresh food ive ever had. Try out the Balkans, you will not regret it. Very safe too.

This is not going to end well for your OP, sorry to break it to you.

Paris is a tourist hell hole and the locals are not friendly (not that you'd be able to carry a conversation anyways since you're a neet and have little conversational skills and little to talk about anyways, probably).

If you enjoy walking around by your lonesome then you need to get out of the cities and into the wildy, even if it's just for little day hikes.
