I was just about to book flights and most of them transit through the middle east. How retarded would it be to book anyway and hope it's resolved before the end of the month?Should I just go somewhere else instead?
>>2867588Very retarded since airports have been targeted. Refineries have also been targeted. Nobody wants to fly there because they may end up stuck.
If you like being shot down, sure (and nothing of value was lost). Eventually the islamists that run Iran will surrender, but until then expect continue seething as part of their death rattle
>>2867598That's not how it works. Civilian airlines don't fly into active combat zones, period. And glib predictions rarely come true either. Wars are easily started, but very difficult to end.
>>2867588Bad idea. Iran has been stockpiling for this moment for decades. It would be nice if it was over fast but dont count on it.
>>2867598Trump will fold again and that years before iran capitulating would happen
>>2867588Where the fuck do you plan to go?
I already booked a flight to Tbilisi and out of Yerevan before the war started. I'm scared it'll get fucked up. My ticket isn't refundable so this better resolve by then
>>2867629Both those nations are out of the zone. I'd be more worried about being on the same plane as someone Putin wanted assassinated.
>>2867588It sounds like you already know what you should do but want to be retarded instead
>>2867627Come on OP, tell us your itinerary. Are you only flying through the Middle East because you're a cheapshit and that is the lowest-cost option?
>>2867777Nice quads. My guess is he was looking for the cheapest tickets to Thailand.
>>2867777Australia to Europe. There are other options but Middle East is best.
>>2867722Uh, not anymore. Iran just bombed Azerbaijan.>>2867981Looks like it'd be best to transit through Riyadh or Jeddah in Saudi Arabia. There really aren't that many other options.
UAE has reopened to flights, and they are awfully cheap to encourage people to start transiting through the country again.
Good. You know it's pathetic that people can't even survive without oil but I hope this continues and forces change. No flights means all the cattle stay the fuck home. No oil means no more cars either. When it's harder to move suddenly nobody is a fucking nuisance everywhere. We just gotta get rid of cell phones, drugs and alcohol. My ideal world is coming.
>>2867629insurance companies will laugh in your face too
>>2869886Yeah it would be awesome if everyone stopped zooming around on cars and motorbikes so much in their headlong race to accumulate as much wealth and possessions as they possibly can. But the counterculture is completely dead. I don't know a single person who has turned their back on prosperity when it was within their reach. They are all constantly striving to be as busy as possible. No choice but to feel like a lost soul drifting aimlessly through the ceaseless hubbub of commerce that has pervaded even the small rural towns in the Third World.
Anyone fly through the Middle East lately?
Iran is gonna destroy everything in sight as revenge to send a message: "You want to fuck with us? Ok, by Allah we are going to fuck with all your friends, we won't be cucked like Saddam" and I really can't blame them.Retarded Americans are worse than Asians when it comes to losing face, Trump is so high on Adderall (shabu) that he will never admit any wrongdoing.I don't know when I'm going back home. But I will definitely avoid any flight with a stopover in Doha or Abu Dhabi.>>2867629Don't worry, I actually plan to take flights that go over this region, there is bad blood between Russia and Georgia, but Cucktin has been stuck in Ukraine for 4 years by now, there is no way he is going on another front. It's the best plan and this region is actually comfy as fuck.
>>2871812You can get some great hotel deals in the UAE right now. I'm seeing a 4-star beachfront hotel in Sharjah going for barely over $30 per night. I would absolutely take advantage of the low flight prices and hotel deals if there was any valid reason to. However, there isn't. UAE's topography is fucking boring, a sandbox with a beach. About the only thing to do there is take incel walks and talk to random pajeets who are also incel walking for lack of anything else to do.
I need to catch a flight from Ireland to Australia soon, should I go through Turkey?
>>2871888nevermind, just booked a long ass flight through Air Canada, is it a good airline?
Flight prices are JACKED all the way through summer thanks to gigantic fuel surcharges. Most one-way, one-stop itineraries from Asia to America are now upwards of $1000. Turkish Airlines in particular has become downright exorbitant. Best Asia to America deal I could find was Starlux from Bangkok to LAX for $518 on a single day in mid-July, so I impulse bought a ticket because prices are only bound to go up up up. Even Xiamen Airlines, formerly offering $350 fares from KUL to LAX, was now asking $750 minimum for all possible flight dates. Second best was Lufthansa from Delhi to Denver for $650, but I didn't snap it up in time, and when I checked again the price had jumped to $800. >>2871951Airline names are only meaningful inasmuch as their itineraries and prices differ. I couldn't care less about the screen or the meals or other petty shit like that.
