Im going with my two friends (all male) on tuesday and will be there until saturday.its going to be an extreme budget trip. we'll be staying in a really cheap (~$25/night) hostel for referencewe're mostly interested in:>free landmarks to visit>exploring the urban landscape>drinking at cheap casual bars/taverns/whatever the equivalent is therei dont know a lick of spanish or catalanalso are pickpockets really an issue?im mostly just looking for suggestions on what to do aside from the obvious answers and where to eat/drink and any other things i should know as an American.we're in our early 20's so it would be fun to meet some other young people as well
I visited Europe 20 years ago and it was the only place in Europe I felt I had to keep my hands in my pockets at all times. Felt the same way in Mexico City. go to the beach

>>2868647the cheap bars are the ubiquitous chinese run bars/cafe on every street corner, coffee and a croissant for a few euros, bottles of beer for a few euros (2-3), they won't provide rowdy nightlife but great spots for euromaxxing with a few mates, there are few with nice views near arc de triomfre pick pockets just keen an eye on your stuff and look out for people with higher melanin levels
