I‘ve been thinking about moving to either China or Japan after university and I‘m planning to live in one of these country’s permanently. I‘ve already made a plan on how to get in high positions (director, executive etc.) as fast as possible but that‘s not what this question is about. I want to know how many hours I can expect to have to work in both positions like director and executive but also the positions leading up to them since the information I‘ve found on the internet varies significantly. Even though I searched for multiple hours I can‘t seem to find consistent numbers (some sources say 45-55h others say 50-60+h). The positions would be in relatively well payed fields of work like software or aerospace engineering or banking finances and probably in an international company so if there are any differences in working hours compared to traditional or local companies do let me know (As far as I know traditional companies can have much longer hours and slower promotions especially in Japan). I‘m mainly asking about China but if you have infos about Japan please leave them here too. Also, if you have suggestions on other working areas and jobs that could get a similar salary please do put them here too, I‘m sure there are more professions than those I‘ve found and that are in an area I‘m interested in

Hours depend all on the company and field. That's why you see different numbers. Local Japanese companies pay the equivalent of $2000-2500 a month for mid-career tech workers. Aerospace engineers can look forward to the same.

It's nice that you plan to become a director. So does everyone. But companies need workers more than directors. They're also unlikely to hire a foreigner as a director for aerospace. The whole world is riding a wave of nationalism and xenophobia, so that's unlikely in any country. China, being one of the most nationalist and protectionist countries on earth, does not give a shit about your plans.

What you're looking for likely doesn't exist with your current skill set, education, or way of thinking.

I‘ve been thinking about moving to either Tibet or New Zealand after university and I‘m planning to live in one of these country’s permanently. The positions would be in relatively well payed fields of work like (American) football player or basketball player or hockey player and probably in an international company so if there are any differences in working hours compared to traditional or local companies do let me know (As far as I know traditional companies can have much longer hours and slower promotions especially in Tibet). The answer is, it depends.

I have a lot of friends who work abroad some in Japan only and others who went from Japan to China. Starting out you work whatever the boss tells you to work.

lol no, Asia countries you have to wait your fucking turn which you are at the bottom of the totem pole. The only way to skip it is if you're appointed a position from the HQ that's running a satellite office in one of the countries you work at. What country are you originally from, because it's clear your English sucks being the one main thing you're going to need as the token foreign hire.
