Honestly, it just seems like a larger, denser version of every city in the northern half of the US. The only real advantage I see in visiting or moving there is the much larger pool of girls to meet. Is it really worth spending so many goybucks to go see it in current year or is it overrated?

It definitely has a much grander vibe to it than other US cities, things you would never see in Philadelphia, Boston, Cleveland, etc. It's like Tokyo but the American version. I can see the appeal. I've always lived within an hour and a half from it, so it's a fine day trip, there's definitely no shortage of things to do, but idk if I'd go out of my way to fly there for a trip. Maybe I'm biased though because I'm so used to the area, but I wouldn't wanna spend more than a day there on vacation.
>>
I mean it really has an diverse international vibe that no other place in the country really has, comparing it to other northeast cities isn't really a fair comparison. It's more like the american answer to London or Paris. If you're not interested in history or urbanism you probably won't get as much from it but I sincerely believe it's impossible to find it boring

They placed a Ugandan Muslim over the city. Thats all you need to know.

I don't understand why people brag about living in new york, oh cool you live 10 people to a studio apartment infested with rats and roaches, I am sure it is neat to see, but NY is also a very over rated place it seems like. Been to Tokyo twice, also have never been to NYC, though I feel like seeing Tokyo that was a good mega city urban experience versus NY.

For all their pride and attitood about their native city, a lot of New Yorkers can’t wait to get the fuck out of there. Jersey, Long Island, Florida, anyplace but the old neighborhood they’ll then wax nostalgic about. I knew people who got up at four in the morning to take a bus from the Poconos in Pennsylvania to a blue collar job in Manhattan, all for a suburban shitbox and a patch of crabgrass.
It’s kids from Nebraska living in a gentrified Bushwick slum who bang on about the hustle and bustle.
>>
>>2869311
Yeah, that makes sense, it all seems like younger people who moved from some backwater town to NY who glaze the city like anywhere else on earth sucks compared to NY. Woah dude hustle and bustle! Heckin center of the world! Yeah forget it, i'll take a trip to enjoy that, I don't want to live in that concrete jungle, I like seeing trees and nature, and NY has none of that, now New York state, that is different, upstate is rather lovely actually.

Absolutely do not move to NYC for women unless you can land a really well paying job. Sure, its "better" than 95% because of demographics but in actuality the competition is insane. Also, NYC women are absolutely horrid. If you are some mid 20s normie and have the means just go to some mid sized European city with a uni. I really do not get where the meme comes from to be honest.
>>
>>2869312
Man if only New York had some kind of big park that was centrally located.

Because most of this board is bots and especially American bots trying to shill the image that this shithole isn't completely terrible.

It's the wealthiest metro area on Planet Earth by GDP output, which is why its inhabitants are so convinced that their city is the center of civilization. I grew up on the outskirts about 50 miles from the city (as we used to call it) and only visited it a handful of times, never overnight. If you don't have loads of money, the city does not feel like a welcoming or enjoyable place. Every Third Worlder idolizes life in NYC; white Americans recognize the city as exceptional, but most do not want to live amongst the mix of grime and elitism that characterizes the city. For everyone talking about how terrible it is, they don't realize how much NYC has been cleaned up over the past decades. Even as recently as 2000 the air pollution was so bad all throughout northeast NJ and the city. Now emissions are strictly controlled and AQI rarely ever climbs out of the "moderate" category.
>>2869359
Same with all coomer fantasies; it's nothing but wishful thinking.

One of my favorite things about NYC is the stark contrast between the hypercity and nature, even in the five boroughs. You can feel utterly alone in the middle of some of the big parks and cemeteries (watch your back) and the bodies of water feel so expensive with the city as an unreal backdrop. At Fort Tilden in the Rockaways it’s just an empty beach with a few fisherman and some abandoned WWII era bunkers. There’s so much green nearby, easily accessible by commuter train and bus. Bear Mountain, Harriman State Park, the Taconics—all the trails, copperheads and Lyme disease ticks you could wish for an hour or two from the city. Then there’s the Catskills and beyond…
>>
>>2869368
You think that is real nature?? Hahahahah, oh nononono. Central park is a meme for city folk to pretend they are in the great outdoors. Go to a national forest or a national park if you want real nature.
>>
>>2869544
Yeah, conveniently the rest of New York state outside the city has a lot of great forests plus state parks and the ocean. The Adirondacks are great.

Believe it or not Yellowstone isn’t located in the downtown of a major city.
>>

They put a Muslim over NYC and the two largest shitholes in the world, China and India, are destroying the internet.
>>
>>2869585
The big NYC parks were carefully built to simulate 19th century romantic ideals of nature. No one thinks they’re “real”. It’s all about the contrast between the green and hyperurbanism. The Long Island glacial morraine in the heart of Prospect Park is real enough though , as is the local wildlife of homeless bums and cruising fairies.
Northeastern nature outside the urban areas is different from the western national parks and there’s the added bonus of Indian and colonial era history. I enjoy both—epic roadtrips and wilderness camping, or a day trip by train where you just step onto the platform and start hiking.
>>
>>2869618
No shit? The lack of nature is what makes cities god awful places to live, so thank you for bringing up that point once again. Enjoy your crime infested concrete jungle.
>>
>>2870130
See exactly, no one thinks it is "real nature" because it isn't real nature, it's a big park in the middle of a massive city, nothing more nothing less. Now there are cities who have adapted more natural elements and greenery into their city layout and design, though I would never argue NYC is one of those places.

do NOT move to NYC for the women. the women here aren't actually from here and aren't that hot, they're from all over the entire world and they're all focused on their careers and themselves. they all think that because they make 6 figures they deserve a man making 7 figures taller than them and completely devoted to them. the other problem is they are all programmed to race mix, which means if you're white its hard to hook up with white girls. if you want to have one night stands here you have to be extremely active, and i mean you have to be in a band, have a ton of friends, be an internet celebrity, have a huge instagram etc. because all the guys here are again from all over the entire country and they're all try hards
>>
>>2870238
>if you're white its hard to hook up with white girls
But what if I want a big booty latina?
>>
>>2870241
while there are a lot of latinas, they're all skinny career focused women. if you want big booty latinas who fuck easily you're much better off going to miami, havannah, or anywhere in mexico
>>
>>2870238
>2870238
>programed to race mix
>being a white man who can't compete with ethnics
Jeez. As an ethnic myself, I was able to pull a virgin for at least a few years. You're telling me you're White and can't play the game when your own women mostly date their own? You must reek of failure, anon.
>>
Just play GTA 4 and you'll get 80% of the nyc experience
>>
>>2870157
So you live in Yellowstone? I didn’t think so you dumb fuck.
>>
No. New York was great to live in until pretty recently but now it’s literally overrun with NPC, shitlib, and non-white transplants who have pretty much ruined the place while the cost of living made anything fun untenable. It has never been fun to visit.
>>
>>2870258
ive been able to pull 2 white women since living here and have dated a few others but they're all insane and flakey.
>>
>>2868839
I'm European and I've honestly never had any desire to visit American cities (unless I'm filthy rich I'd kind of visit LA or NYC even once then) but I'd love to visit SW America for nature with all the deserts and desolate shit out there.
>>
>>2870527
White women are slowly becoming the new Black women (I'm Black myself). I tend to go for brown these days, but Latinos are second place behind Blacks for general retardation and I'm good on Desi women since the last one I dated ended up thotting around. Maybe I'll try Filipina or Kazakh.
