Its cheap
Full of other Europeans, Aussies and yanks
You'll meet a ton of young people in hostels

Weather is great, food is great, its cheap if you're not a degenerate
If you just party it's not too expensive either unless you get too drunk and lose your money or get taken advantage of

As for anxiety you will forget about it very quickly as there's hundreds of people who are also travelling for the first time and youre young so people will talk to you because youre the same age and it opens a lot of social opportunities
If you feel anxious try booking a hostel with a bar or a terrace and have a few beers and come maybe earlyish before big groups form you'll naturally meet other people and alcohol will make you low inhib
If you dont like drinking just pretend youre sipping on beer because everyone else will be mildly inebriated and they won't notice your assburgers unless youre heinously mentally retarded irl

Thailand is more expensive but also more developed
I found Cambodia to be bit of a shithole and somewhat depressing, saw real poverty there
Only beer and smokes are cheap there
Philippines was too much of a shithole for me to give a try
Taiwan is very nice and kind of boring if you want to meet other people as its as touristic but its a chill place
Naturally more expensive as it isn't 3rd world
Malaysia is the most expensive of SEA proper but also the most developed
Less touristic and different vibe, more retired couples and couples in general, less degenerate coomers and sexpats unlike Vietnam and Thailand

In Thailand south is kino,lots of islands and places to snorkel. Ill be doing that now because last time it was shit for it. Vietnam I went from North to South, you hit relevant cities naturally as they're mostly on a straight line.

Vietnam and Thailand are great as there's parties and opportunities to meet people everywhere. If youre staying at a decent social hostel (dont book the cheapest piece of shit available youll regret it) there's typically a bar and that's how you meet your social circle for the night. Its very normie but pub crawls work too. I went out to Khaosan road completely solo and drunk and met a lot of people. Completely fumbled any chance of women that time because I was too drunk and I'd start talking about blacks and how much I think yanks are a subhuman and fat, never good to be ND when already drunk to the point where its subhuman. There's young chicks everywhere and its super easy to talk to them because they're all in good mood doing their gap year, first time big trip outside of Europe, etc. I found I met a lot of women on tours and its easy to speak to them. Just got to be easy going and talk like youre not getting laid or better yet say you got a girlfriend and if it gets flirty confess you got dumped and heartbroken recently it sometimes works

Never tried anything with Asian women as I've no interest in them and women in SEA dodge me out because I assume if there's on our in bars she's a whore. I kind of groped some Taiwanese girls tits in some provincial town, she worked for a hostel there, but that was the extent of it
