I want to go to Japan and just eat the packaged convience store food. Yummy

> just eat the packaged convience store food
Yeah, you and practically every other retarded weeb who comes to this country atm. Though, to be fair, better that they stay in their hotels at night, scarf down their convenience store bounties, and play with their animoo crap than pollute any local izakaya with their filthy, bloated carcasses. Not like they could fit in lots of places anyway.
>>
Ah yes, the bowl of disappointment.

Enjoy your Japslop

>denounces convenience store food just to praise pub food
Go to a real restaurant, you scrub.
>>
>>2871544
There are plenty of specialty bento shops that sell bento boxes that are cheaper and more filling than those at convenience stores.
>>
Something gets lost in translation when it comes to Japanese convenience store food. It is indeed better than American convenience store food, but it's still not good food. I ate it a few times out of "convenience" and it all tasted like bland shit.

Whereas proper Japanese food is indeed really good.

Also I think the reason convenience store food took off in Japan at all is because they have like no fucking takeout food culture anywhere, so the convenience slop is literally the only quick option.

I am a Haruhi/Lain weeb, not a Naruto/One Piece weeb like the masses

I get the salad chicken because it's high in protein and low in calories. Tastes like shit but proteinmaxxing in Japan is tough

He's in every Japan thread trying to tell everyone not to come to The Japans while he lives there
>>

It's still cheaper than anything in the USA, eating healthy is expensive here. I had to buy food for the week 8 pounds of chicken? 20 dollars... then gas, then turning the microwave on, and it never tastes as good.

Japan doesn't use GMO or preservatives so it's way bettter by default. I went to japan for a week and had yummy food only spending 1000 yen a shop, impossible in the USA

I won't give you flak for this. I know there are some top tier nipponphiles here. I've also observed a few westerners in izakayas, and it's not nice to be reminded of any awkwardness you had in the past, be it when you can to Japan the first times, or when you did normal stuff in your home country. These people are cringe.

I've only been a handful of times, for the purpose of getting food because most restaurants are closed at 10pm to 4am.

I don't speak Japanese, it's not my territory to go into an izakaya and act like a dork. "Hey waiter, I want some snacks and a beerlu" and then proceed to sit quietly and have inner thoughts while surrounded by others speaking full nip. No no no NO.

I will execute rough ideas and plans. Go to X location and observe Y. Go to X location and do Y. Go for a walk. Take the train to Y. Stuff my stomach with pancakes and coffee at a mall food court near X. Go on a date with Z.

>Japan doesn't use GMO or preservatives
This isn't remotely true. Why do people keep saying this shit? Preservatives are even listed on the ingredients.

And convenience store food uses Thai meat and Chinese vegetables. Do you think they have high standards?
>>
>>2871791
People become irrational and retarded when it comes to food, ingredients and diets. Probably some type of existential derangement syndrome.

We just have to ignore it.

When I travel to Japan, I allow myself to stop caring about the plastics in gulping and just take it easy. Ditto for the veggies and dumpling meat.

Can we talk about Family Mart food though?

I'm not, I'm British by nature's good will and I've have the pleasure of understanding those around me unlike mutts. When I was checking into my hostel I knew to take off my shoes, keep my voice down (unlike rude mutts), and was able to check in about 15 minutes early without paying a fine. When I was down in the commons room the other day the japanese tele played trump mocking the japanese and pearl harbor, whilst the americans laughed I said "sorry for the trouble we pushed them off to penal colonies" and followed it up with a bit of a louder than usually "gomenizai for these others". The staff looked at me with my noodles (I had chopsticks they had forks) and said bluntly:

"wow you are clearly not like other tourists, England is a very wonderful place! Thank you for your kind words"

mutts just stood there wondering what gomenizai meant and left promptly after while I got a free beer(asahi). Completely mogged.

Because they're not obese and health care is affordable so they go to the doctor.

Takeout options like bento shops, gyoza, shumai, and junk food (takoyaki, taiyaki, Imakawa-yaki, etc.) have been around for a long time.
Come to think of it, the number of restaurants offering delivery for sushi, soba, ramen, and Chinese food has been declining.

I want to go back to Hokkaido and eat crabs all day
>>
>>2871544
Do vending machines for pizza still exist?

I couldn't afford the crabs in Otaru, they were insanely marked up. I gave up and didnt even try to find any in Sapporo.

>health care is affordable so they go to the doctor.
LOL lmao, Japan's healthcare is kinda fucked that's why they only go when on deaths door and so many pseudo alternatives exist.

Most people do something like take a multivitamin and walk more, it's amazing how much that prevents

Japanese people tend to rush to the hospital at the slightest sign of a cold; in rural areas, hospital waiting rooms have practically turned into social clubs for the elderly. Because of this, the government is struggling with rising medical costs.
>>
>>2872841
>Japanese people tend to rush to the hospital at the slightest sign of a cold
100% true. My wife and kids head straight for the clinic with the slightest symptoms of a cold, as all Japs do, and wolf down whatever “medicine” they’re given. Yet, I never get sick at all and have avoided those clinics like the plague and they wonder why.
>>
>>2872858
It’s not uncommon to hear stories of people who went to the doctor thinking they just had a cold, only to be told they were experiencing early symptoms of a serious illness, so we can’t simply dismiss the idea that people rely too much on medical institutions. This might actually be a major factor contributing to the longevity of the Japanese people.
>>
>>2872858
Why are the clinics not good enough for you, but good enough for your kids? Do you not care about your kids? Be a man and put your foot down for once.
>>
>>2872858
When I get sick in Japan, I just buy a bottle of Vodka. It works better than any of that shitty cold medicine they sell at the Welcia.
>>
>>2872858
Meanwhile my wife never gets sick but I always do. Some people just have better immune systems, retard.
>>
>>2873006
> Meanwhile my wife never gets sick but I always do.
Maybe stop sucking all those dicks and you’ll strengthen up.
>>
>>2873017
But that's how you build natural immunity without doctors.
>>

People like you die young
