the actual camping / driving will likely be the cheapest
in most of southern and central Europe you will be limited / forced to dedicated camping places, charging on avg 30-40€/night (that's outside of high season and city camping)
while in Scandinavia it's wild camping and free caravan places are much more common
gasoline prices are fucked everywhere rn, so doesn't matter that much

genuinely avoid Switzerland though
it'll eat through your budget like crazy

an oldfag 1st class Interrail pass for 12months is only ~4k€
which leaves you ~110€/day

I don't intend on staying at campsites lmao, I'll park where I please. I will be very rarely entering cities/ town centers, due to my disinterest in busy public places. If absolutely needed I can compromise and take a taxi.

I prefer the countryside, flying/using train's removes most of that aspect and limits me to only cities and bigger towns.I will stay at some hotels, but nothing too lavish.

I was not aware around such, if there really are wild camping spots I may have to take the caravan up lmao. Which would be the best route, via ferry or through Russia? I do intend to visit Russia during my travels, but that depends how restricted the Finnish-Russian border is.

Had a friend who went, said it was beautiful. I could get round the price, I can raise the budget slightly. I got 180k (pound) in inheritance, so I've only dedicated so little to my Europe Travel budget.

I have considered Interrail but I simply want to see the countryside. I love nature and hiking, which has mostly influenced my decision to take a caravan.

My dad a couple years ago advised to take a caravan. But honestly as I put more thought into it, a car will probably be more efficient and easier to drive round in.

I went to Poland in the winter when I was young with my family, I remember how much snow there was. Far more than in Britain.
